Wow! The weirdest thing just happened. I was sitting here vaping on my Buzz with an 801 atty and some vapor bomb cafe mocha when I heard a pop and a burst of pressure puffed out my cheeks!
I thought the atty popped but it's still working fine. The Buzz read 4.49 volts when I checked it and everything is going swimmingly now. That never happened before. Wonder what it was? Maybe the "vapor bomb" went off.
Anybody have a guess at this one?

I've had it happen before (not on a Buzz, but on an Ego, fwiw). I haven't heard a 'pop' per se, but I have felt the rush of air, and yes, after I changed attys, it went away. The way I figured it, juice/gunk had plugged up the holes on my 510, and so when I sucked in, it caused a vacuum which, when the juice cleared the holes, forcefully pushed the air into my mouth/cheeks. If what I am describing is similar, it has nothing to do with the device, but the atty air inlet holes getting clogged.

I have had them POP really loud before ! but did not notice an increase in vapor , so the 306 is fine right ? and no heat or anything from the Buzz right ?

Right. I've been vaping on the Buzz all day. Running a mega 808 on it now. No heat or anything. Just those weird bursts out of the 801 atty. I'm gonna call Isaac now and ask if he's ever heard of such a thing. Maybe Harry at Vaporbomb is putting gunpowder in his juice, I don't know. This is a new one on me.

Strange. This happened without me even drawing on it. It was like the atty just vaporized a big blob of juice all at once.
I'm sure it wasn't the device. Just a really weird atty.

I don't do a whole lot with attys and never owned a 801, but I have a theory what of may happened. I've notices on my cartos that occasionally I get a collection of condensation inside and my cartos will pop ans sizzle even more than normal. What I am thing make have happened is a bit of that got on the coil of the atty and turned to steam and caused a rapid expansion of air thus causing the puff? Nothing really dangerous, just the hot juice (if any) that gets in your mouth.

That would be my guess also. My coffee pot sits there without a sound and then the condensation falls on the heating element and bang. I think thats what's happening to you.

5C, LOVE that emoticon!!

I had an interesting experience this eve with my Buzz. Had to do the grocery store run and left my Buzz in the car while I shopped. Came out and picked up Buzz which was cold (as expected) and it gave me the near red light like the batts were dead...damn! I knew they should still have plenty of charge left so after holding it in my hand a few minutes to warm it up, it fired right up and the light went back to it's usual violet color.

Is this just something to be expected when batteries get cold? It's been working fine since. Next time I won't leave it in the car :)

I don't know. I do know batteries have an operating temp. That is the bad thing about that metal drip tip is it gets cold quik and some people don't like the feel of it when they start to vape.
I googled it and here is part of what it says. :. Li-Ion Batteries have Far, Far Better Cold Weather Performance
