It was sitting next to a bottle of Vitamin Water on a car seat. The Vitamin Water was capped but not all the way tight and it tipped over and leaked all over the seat and into the air vent on the end cap of the Provari. When I took the end cap off it poured out of the Provari.

Here is what happened. The LED went nuts. It just stayed lit and all the menu functions were toggling rapidly PU,Pd,Po, etc... over and over. So, I drove home figuring it was history. I propped it to the heater vent and tried putting a battery in it with the same result. About a half hour later I got home and sprayed liquid air into it and let it sit awhile.

Now it works, I can actually vape with it. Occasionally the LED display shows and 8 on one of the digits and it twinkles a little. But I can use the menu items and check my atty or change the voltage. It is vaping just fine. I think there is still moisture in the tube and going to try dry rice later to see if that fixes the LED.

I once dropped an eGo into the toilet and it still worked. Had to change the atty though.

Cleaning the ProVari circuit board after a juice spill
Some of the symptoms of a wet circuit board are random error messages such as E1, E2, E4 and E8.
If you accidentally spilled lots of juice on the ProVari and it has run down the side and in through the button location or window area, it's possible some juice got inside the device.
This can cause random error messages that you didn't see before or if all of your atomizers and cartomizer are reading 1.3 ohms or any other strange behavior, you might need to clean the unit.
Please note: the top cap of the ProVari is sealed so typically juice will not get into the unit from the top.
We have had users report that they were using a tank and it leaked along the side of the device, this is the situation most likely to cause juice leakage into the ProVari.

This is a very easy procedure:
1. Remove the battery
2. Using some 99% isopropyl alcohol, pour a small amount into the tube so it goes down where the circuit board sits.
3. Gently shake the device so the isopropyl alcohol swirls around inside the tube.
4. Now pour it out and let the unit dry.
5. It's important to let it dry completely before installing the battery again.

It's a good idea to leave the end cap off and leave it overnight to dry. Then try again.
If you cannot find 99% isopropyl, you can use 91%.
91% has more water, so it will just take a little longer to dry.
If you use some canned air or an air compressor you can blow out the excess isopropyl and it will speed up the drying time.

just for future reference provape recommends rinsing out the PV with iso alcohol if it gets submerged in something or wet inside. almost every time something happens this is their answer in the emails.

about two weeks ago another member dropped his into a cup of coffee, rinsed it out and works fine.

Thanks for all the tips, not that I didn't find all this stuff already before posting this-including the You Tube of the guy who dropped his in a sink while shaving. It seems I belong to a large club.

Caridwen might be the only person to manage to drop one in into a paint tray. I think a little oil paint or acrylic paint on the outside would be less ruinous than vitamin water all over the circuit board. I really thought it was through.

At the moment I'm hitting it without the LED issue. Maybe when I crash out I'll take out the bat and the end cap and let it sit overnight in a dry area and that will be enough.

Aside from the toilet, one of my provs has been in the sink 2x, complete cycle in washing machine, several puddles...innumerable dry drops from various heights onto various surfaces.

Yes I have Parkinson's disease. These guys will be around long after I'm gone...

The caps have been wonked so many times that it was no problem to index them to my zens.
Then back to lowes to crank them tight in the big display vice.

The zens don't leave my padded cell.

Well, hopefully that won't be the case. But they are pretty durable. I think Provari should have water protected the circuit board a little more, as I'm getting the impression that this happens a lot. But hey- it was only out of service a couple hours and came back to life.
