So I was about to polish my old GG Transformer and I thought I should take some before and after pics cos the results from these Cape Cod Cloths still amaze me, even though I've been using them for some months now.

They aren't easy to find outside the US so I import them for those who are looking for the simplest method to keep their PV looking like new.

Available in Kit form which is a lovely tin contining 6 of the impregnated cloths, a buffing cloth and some gloves, or in a pouch containing two cloths. Replacement (non-impregnated) buffing cloths also available separately in a pack of two.

hehehehe, that was a good trick, Harpo.

I love these things, that's why I had to stock them, cos people here are missing out big time - You're lucky over there that you can pick them up in lots of places.

They are brilliant for the OMeGa too - some people seem to have been having tarnishing problems with the plating on it, but the Cape Cods work wonders there too.

I thank Stormy each and every time I use these things for telling us all about them on that other forum. They take off the worst tarnish from brass and aluminum very quickly and they don't smell like a solvent. They last ages too. The polishing cloth that comes with them is the key. They can be purchased separately in case you can't get em clean in the wash. Excellent product if you like keeping your devices looking their best.

My favorite GG:

Yea I used to use Mothers polishes but it is so hard to get out of the nooks and crannies. The CCCs are so easy to use. Wipe on wipe off, very little polishing required. The thin liquid impregnated into the cloth gets into the nooks for you and doesn't stick there. They leave a nice protective coating behind to prevent future tarnish too.... quality.

I have been fabricating and welding aluminum for over 15 years and I have used a lot of different polishes, this one is by far the best of the bunch. The only one that comes close is Never Dull wadding... but that one has a strong scent unlike CCC that have a nice smell.

Nice one Scott!

I used mine on my OMeGa the other day with really good results too. Good news for all the people complaining of the tarnishing on that model, for sure.
They also did a nice job on the Precious although because of the finish on that particular mod, any tarnish is hardly noticible anyway - still made a diferennce tho.

Kinda leaves a coating too so that your device is protected for a period.

I'm a bit evangelical about these Cloths as some people have noticed, but that's cos I really tried a lot of other ways to clean my mods and nothing else I tried got me these kind of results so quickly and easily.

I liked this review Scott! The only part I hate about cleaning my devices is getting my finger prints on them after. I find that if I polish and then run and wash my hands I can use the device without messing up the super shine I just put on it for a little while anyway.

Have to mention though that a stainless steel device is really nice because you don't need to spend so much time cleaning it.

Gotta love those Cape Cod Cleaning cloths. Thanks Stormy!

Right, I found that they really don't do much for my Precise. I actually like using an alcohol wipe for my stainless devices. I give my drip tip a quick wash and then my mod; every day or two and good as new again. Gotta love that stainless for something that you hold all day. Aluminum is nice and light but really not a good material for something that you hold all day. Tarnish and scratches are a constant problem with it, these cloths are a must if you insist on aluminum mods.

yep, as you say, Vapn, stainless mods pretty much require no attention compared to aluminium ones, in fact, I was thinking of discontinuing the Cape Cod range now that I don't have any aluminium mods in stock, but some vapers do still need them and they aren't that widely available here in the UK.

Yep, Stratus, I had seen that watch collectors use them a LOT for their precious watches, excellent point there. Nice pic too, thanks. :)

Hi again lawnman, thanks for the vote of confidence, it's much appreciated. All going fantastic here actually, even more busy than usual this week cos we're celebrating the first full year in business with 10% off across the whole site.

Both the V3 and the ICON are being very well received all over Europe and also Japan so I'm really pleased to have brought these devices to so many people who didn't previously have access to them.

Plenty of exciting things coming up for later this month and in the New Year too, so watch this space!

Don't be a stranger, Lawnman, OK?
