I love the tooling marks right up until I go to put a shine on mine. I just can't get all that stubborn oxidation off of my GGTS. It has a kinda dingy look to it. Not that it makes me love it any less though...Still my favorite by far!!!

Yeah, I dont have this problem, mine shines right up.....perfect. I think the ridges give it a classy different look...something bout it, I like the detail of the fine ridges, guess it comes down to personal preference tho...

Funny, I have never cleaned mine. I keep the top part really clean, get all the juice drops out, and keep the inside clean and lubed. I really like how it's aging, more like a tool to me then jewelry. But hey, everyone's different. Don't get me wrong, it looks real nice shiny, but far too much work or thought for my lazy ...., yes, even using a polish cloth. Once you start to go "grunge", or should I say "patina", you kinda wanna see how far it can go.... Best part is, someday maybe I'll clean it, and it will look new again, but for now that day seems far, far, away..... :)

Speaking of shiny.
Does anyone have a supershiny pic I can use? I need to make a new sig.
I don't have a camera that gives me decent resolution... my iphone just doesn't cut it.

I know someone posted some, but I can't find them, and wouldn't use it without permission anyhow.

Check the GG website thread and see if they are on the web page. And I hate my iPhone camera

Ask Lisa here, if she would grant you permission to use one of her photos, and resize it to forum size. For a "sig", I doubt she would protest, but photos are owned by the photographer, so ask first, or be SUED! :)

I'm another one that just love's the groove finish, better grip and just love running my thumb nail up and down it, sorry smooth and shining is not for me :p
ps not sure if i like the new button either kinda like the old fashion look

yeahh like the groove also, all smooth looks cheaper IMHO. Ordered the new button though, think is fits the look and next to the Slim they make a beautiful pair ;-) I hope Imeo will make the new Slim with grooves as well as the AFS, more artistic I think, but the majority will like the smooth finish I am afraid, a well who really cares, the GG is the best shiny or not so shiny!!!

Just spent the last 20 minutes meticulously polishing with the Cape Cod cloths. It was shiny BEFORE I started, and I pulled so much gunk off.. Now when I touch it there are fingerprints... but its all good, a quick buff with a soft cloth and they come right off.

The protectant on those cloths makes buffing a breeze after the initial polishing.
