Ok, so a couple weeks ago, I charged up one of my 2 last good ego batteries... took a couple puffs off of it while I was getting ready to head out to run some errands and headed to my car with it in hand.

I drive away, get to the first stoplight and go to take a puff and...nothing. It won't fire, not blinking...nada, zip, zilch.

Being a seasoned vaper and never leaving home without backup, I had my SD keyring on my car keys and used that while I was out and about.

When I got home I started looking for the best price on a new ego style battery to replace my current deceased one. I came across a really good deal on an 18650 E-Power kit and thought "what the hell".

I LOVE this thing. I vape pretty much non-stop when I'm awake unless I'm busy and unable to and I get 2 days on one 2200mah battery and the kit came with 2 batteries, a case and a charger.

Fast forward to this morning. I'm talking to my bf about the E-Power and how much I like it, but I was bummed about the other battery as it was relatively new (Xmas gift from him) and he says "Are you sure it wasn't just turned off?"

I told him I didn't think so (ok, I wasn't quite that nice as I'm considered the resident ecig expert in the household and was a bit offended lol) as I'd been using it as I was getting ready to leave and hadn't shut it off. Anyhow, out of curiosity, I clicked the button 3 times and it starts flashing lol.

As stupid as I feel over that newb mistake (and a bit humbled after apologizing to the bf), if it hadn't happened, I wouldn't have the E-Power which I use almost exclusively. I only use my other ego battery when I want to use the booster on it as the E-Power seems to have issues when I put the booster on that one.

My bf is now using my 2nd Ego battery as a backup. I'm thinking he might get an E-Power for his B-day though :D

Oh, I know. I've used them exclusively since they first came out and I personally haven't killed one yet. My bf has worn a few out however. I like the E-Power because it's the same eGo threads, only slightly bigger, but lasts twice as long as my 1100mah eGo and the replacement batteries are much less expensive than buying a new eGo battery.

I got the kit with 2 batteries, charger and case for $40 and it's the equivalent (in terms of vaping time) to 4 of my Ego batteries so it was a good deal.

Plus....it's shiny!! :D

The only downside I've found with it...well other than it not working with my ego booster, is that it doesn't work with my stardusts without a 510 shorty extension which wasn't very appealing. I do have a short tapered cone for it that I picked up which covers the exposed cone threads and the adapter and the stardust base fits down over the top of it so it's not as nice as just being on the battery, but it still looks pretty good now.

I got two eGo batteries when I first started, and liked them so much I ordered two more. Imagine my surprise when neither one of them worked! They were fully charged, but wouldn't fire.

Then I remembered reading that the newer models required 5 clicks to turn them on. Whew!

I've been using a Provari exclusively for the past month or so. A few days ago I pulled out an eGo just to see what it was like. I couldn't believe how tiny it seemed. When I first got it, it seemed absolutely huge compared to a 510.

Now I'm tempted to try one of those new eGo Twist.

I thnk that the eGo booster only works with eGo batteries OR AW IMR batteries. Are you using an AW IMR battery in your e-power?

BTW, gotta love this story, we've probably all done something like this.

The batteries that this kit came with are ICR 18650 2200mah. The booster worked fine on it for a day or two, then I would get a few times when I'd press the button and nothing would happen until I unscrewed the booster and put it back on. When it started happening every other time I hit the button, I gave up trying to use it on the E-Power figuring that it just wasn't meant for it and I didn't want to risk damaging anything.

I generally use LR Stardusts which work fine without the higher voltage, but my first order of Stardusts were the SR which don't give me the same result on my egos. They are fine, just not as satisfying. I just use my standard ego batt now when I use the SR tanks.

I also have a Dual coil carto tank that sucks at anything under 4.2v so I use it with my booster as well. When my SR Stardusts bite the dust, I'll just stick with the LR versions and just use my booster with my DCC's

I got the new Ego-T 18650 replaceable Batt unit, with the newer switch they now have, it allows you to vape regulated at 3.3-or 3.4V and with 5 clicks and a hold of the button for 4-5 sec's it then flashes white from the orange to white and you can then vape at the full Batt power in non regulated mode. This is worth looking into it's a really nice uit and comfy in the hand. Best of all there inexpensive around $25 bucks or so for the unit.

this one = http://www.cloudsofvapor.com/store/58-cov-mods/1124-joye-ego-t-18650-mod-in-black.html

But get it with this switch = http://www.cloudsofvapor.com/store/58-cov-mods/1229-joytech-ego-t-2-upgrade-control-unit.html

Don’t feel bad.

I do stuff like that Sub-Consciously just as Excuse to buy New Mods.

LOL that would work great, but it would leave me short on my share of the household expenses and then he'd really raise hell.

I hear you.

Check out my latest Impulse buy.

VariStack Variable Voltage Mod

I don't need it but How can I pass it up at that price.

It works Great with my AW IMR Button Top 18350'3 but Not with the Flat Top No Name IMR's that I got with it. Oh well, 10 Bucks down the Drain for batteries.

Or is it?

I remembered that People said that they can put Tiny Disc Magnets on a Flat Top to make them work like a Button Top.

So after 30 Minutes of searching I found a Great Place for Every Size and Shape Battery known to man. I got some of these and a few of those and with shipping the grand total was like 15 Bucks. I had a Big Smile on my face thinking how Smart I was Solving that Little Flat Top Battery Problem with Magnets.

But about the time the e-Mail order confirmation hit my In-Box it dawns on me. I just spent on Magnets about what 2 Correct Sized Batteries would have cost. Correct Batteries for a Mod I Don't Even Really Need !

Doh...

Zoid, those small rare earth magnets come in handy in certain situations, you didnt waste your coin on them, you will use them in other situations with Batts and Mods :)

Yeah. And I like Magnets.

The ones for the Batteries cost like 18 cents each. Guess it was the Bigger Ones that I just Couldn't seem to do without that Jacked up the Final Price.

I'm surprised with how well the Twist works. It doesn't have the range or the higher amp capacity of the ProVari (V2), but it can consistently deliver the voltage. It's bigger than a regular eGo, but still much smaller to tote around than the ProVari. I did a full write up last week on it: Joyetech eGo-C Twist Review
