Hello everyone,

I would like to set a challenge to the vendors and reviewers of e-cigs to find the BEST disposable e-cig. The criteria I would like you to judge them on are as follows;

Looks - the more like a real cig, the better (but without an orange/red LED)

Flavour - the more like a real ... the better

Throat Hit - the harsher the better

Vapour - the more like smoke the better

Draw - the more vapour per second, the better

Consistancy - of flavour/vapour - how well it wicks

Nitty gritty - How do you rate the cost of using it to the cost of the equivalent fags that would be smoked during its life

I am not interested in whether or not they can be refilled or recharged - just pick up, vape and throw away.

Thanks for your help.

I have the answer. Win the lottery and get a Riva, buy pre-filled cartomisers with it and use the whole thing as disposable seeing as youhave so much money it doesn't matter. While you're at it get a disposable ferrari :)

Sorry to chirp in with sillyness, TBH I've only tried two disposables and my real comments regarding them would have me banned ;)

No worries Duncan :)

There is a serious point to this thread - part of CAM-VIP's attempt to get the smokers back in the pubs.

Smokers seem only be tempted to try something that is cheap and as ...-like as possible. The way the technology is improving, I reckon the disposables are getting better, but do any of them match up to the expectations of smokers?

You might struggle to find many that don't have a red/orange LED, it's the colour the disposibles seem to go with.

I've just today picked up a nicolites disposable just because I was curious and it was there at my local spar shop. It's a bit expensive at £5.99 I felt but here's my thoughts on it:

In short: Utterly woeful.

Vapour is absolutely shocking on this thing, it barely produces any unless you suck on the thing so hard you risk inhaling the entire device and have it lodged in your left lung till the ambulance arrives... Only trick to getting more is 'the other rusty's one' block one of the air holes when you drag.

Throat hit isnt there at all, the draw is far, far too airy on this, it's like inhaling pure air with a touch of flavour. It claims to be 16mg nic, and equivalent to 25 cigs, but it's nowhere near strong enough for me. (as a base point I normally vape 18mg though I have been known to dabble at 11-24mgs and in-between).

From a purely non vaping POV and as someone who might approach it wanting to see what ecigs were like? I guess at first I'd go 'wow it's like smoking!' and be impressed, but the lack of consistent vapour, the lack of flavour, TH and everything else wouldn't convert me I'm afraid.

Gets points for looking like a cig though (indeed a work colleage at first thought I'd fell off the vaping wagon and I'd gone and got a real cig when she saw me with it!) it certianly does, red tip, tan cartomizer and White battery etc. It's also not too long or short, about the size of a super king, maybe a bit fatter.

I also have a gamucci disposable I got the other day, when I fire that up I'll review that one here too later on.

I got a nicolites 15 mg today, to plug a gap while awaiting a delivery from LF, and it cost damn near £7.00 and promised 25 cigarettes worth. I even metered it out carefully so as not to overdo it, and it barely lasted the day. I found it was strong enough for me, though could have done with more actual vapour. The flavour was okay, but the battery just died after roughly 13 hours (probably less than an hour actual vaping time). I reckon I got about ten cigarettes worth out of it at most. So that works out about the double the cost of real cigs.
Woeful.
Avoid at all cost.
