Was in a similar position as op and after waying up a lot of pros and cons I ended up going with a v5 sigelei zmax (pm for where they in stock) and a couple of smoktech pyrex dct's a big up from ego bats and ce5's and will ease me into vv/vw for reasonable price and there is plenty left to move onto.

1. Vamo V3
2. vape escape Riva
3. Vape Escape Vision 1000 Ultimate
4. Spinner/Twist Ego VV tank Combo
5. Innokin iTaste VV

This is so complicated!

Yes, complicated! :)

Firstly, if you are going to get a Spinner or Twist, the number 2,3, and 5 on your list are a waste of time. If you got a vamo or similar + a VV eGo to start, then you are sorted. After that, think about the best....

I agree with you guys that learning about battery safety should be rite up there at the TOP of the list when venturing into rebuildables.

I am though asking myself the following questions:

1) if I could I turn back the clock 9 months would I still go through the first 6 months of maybe 10 different mods, untold cartos, disposable Attis, clearos, tanks, drippers. Also the frustration of good vaping one day then bad the next. That's without the quite large sums of money spent on gear that all now fills my office draws and constantly washing juice off my hands.

OR,

2) if I knew then what I know now would I still put myself through number 1) to enjoy the good and bad parts of the learning curve or skip straight to the last three months of my vaping experience. One mod, two identical Attis, very low amounts of spending (extremely low by comparison to the first six months) on juice and some wire and cotton. Oh, and being 99% satisfied with my vape (equaling or bettering the real cigarettes) for 99.9% of the time.

And then, most importantly, what is the best advice to give to someone starting out ????

I think there is someting to be said for all points of view and flavourful did ask for the best when he started the thread, and there is certainly a good argument for a REO being the best based on what i have heard about them from others (it's enough to make me want one thats for sure!)

Some people probably would benefit from going straight to a high end mod, others would benefit from going through the various levels. Personally, i like to build up as i go along, although saying that i've only been vaping full time for just over 3 months and spent £180 on a mech a couple of weeks ago and will probably spend that again on a provari shortly (if C9V had the semovar in stock i would have got one of them today)

I gave myself a treat today and bought a satin black provari mini and a protank 2.

What a difference between this combo and what i was using with my evic teamed with a protank mini or vivi nova stv.

Really really pleased with both the provari and the protank 2 - I'm more suprised at the protank 2 tbh. Much better performance than i was expecting and miles better than the older version.

Had i known how good this combo was, i would definitely have waited before diving in and buying an aga and kayfun lite. The provari and protank 2 are providing the kind of performance i was hoping for from the kayfun & a mech.

The provari was at the top end of their pricing (£186) but depending on the colour you can get one for £160, and the protank 2 costs about £15 with spare heads @ about £10 for 5.

You could get a provari, 2 protank 2s and a pack of spare heads for £200 and not have to worry about setting anything up at all and be straight in there with excellent performance.

I have heard some really good things about the KFL codz so would be surprised if you can't improve on your pro tank with it.

I have got a kayfun mini which hasn't been used for a long while and was only used as a dripper but that was a fantastic vape.

I'm sure the KFL will be loads better, i just didnt think the protank 2 would be as good as it is. I'm dreading trying to build coils on the KFL though!

Again guys, loads to think about, thanks. I'm going to read up and shop around for a couple hours now...

I do like the idea of slowly building up mods instead of jumping straight into buying a REO. And a VV spinner will always get used when I'm going out, so it's not like it will sit gathering dust after upgrading to a REO or Provari.

Rizzyking is throwing me off again with suggestions of even more products though lol

Ok...I can't just choose one so put all the recommended batteries and tanks in a spreadsheet...lol

The variable wattage batteries seem pretty chunky, except the Innokin iTaste V3. I'm not sure if I need VW though?

One thing I've realised is that all of them are a lot larger than I thought, especially the tanks - 64mm! Should just about fit in my pocket when I'm out and about...

Tanks - I'll probably get a Protank 2, but maybe a Smoktech DCT...at least I've (almost) chosen one part so far.

I can't guarantee the accuracy of my web searches but they should be close enough.

This spreadsheet is a bit sad, I know :p

Any final opinions on any of these products?

Good idea mate. I'm currently leaning towards the itaste 3.0 with a few different tanks to try, as you said.

Maybe I'll just get a cheapie spinner at the same time to see how they compare though :)

I've only been going for 2 weeks with a eGo and I'm already thinking of buying the Itaste V3.0.

Is that a VV ego battery you've got?

I'm still wondering what the differences are between simple VV spinners like the "Joyetech eGo-C Twist VV" compared to something like the itaste 3.0.

I suppose it's probably just a difference in build quality, battery capacity, overall design, etc. Not sure if they would vape any differently.

I've got This which has 3 settings of 4.2V, 3.8V & 3.6V.

the Itaste V3.0 has adjustable from 3.3 – 5.0V and adjustable from 6.0 – 11.0W, both going up in 0.1's.

Much better overall.

shame I didn't get it in the first place :(

Here's what I bought!! Everything was dispatched today :D

Batteries/Charger
Innokin ITaste VV/VW 3.0 (battery and charger only - £28 from vapour room!)
Joyetech eGo-C 650 Battery (Dual voltage, only 75mm, so good for taking out or a spare)
Ego charger

Tanks
Protank 2
Protank 2 Mini
2 x Evod

Atomizers
3 x Standard resistance 510
510 Drip tip

And now the fun part...it took me around 3 hours of reading to come up with this list of samples. Overall, I read very good things about 3 e liquid brands that are available from UK suppliers - Alchemists Cupboard (AC), Grizwalds and Halo.

Maybe a little over the top for my first order, but I really wanted to try Alchemists Cupboard and Halo, and their smallest sample packs were 5 x 10ml and 6 x 7ml.

Samples
Egg Custard Tart 10ml - AC
Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream 10ml - AC
Coconut Caramel with Hazelnut Honey 10ml - AC
Lemon Meringue Pie 10ml - AC
Aunty Flo's Pear Drops 10ml - AC
Menthol ICE 7ml - Halo
Kringle's Curse 7ml - Halo
Belgian Cocoa 7ml - Halo
Mystic Menthol 7ml - Halo
Midnight Apple 7ml - Halo
Malibu 7ml - Halo
GY4 5ml - Grizwald
Black cat 5ml - Grizwald
Arctic Cherry 5ml - Grizwald

115ml total with 14 different flavours

Thank you all for your help in making some very difficult decisions!

Sounds like you have a good set up there flavourful... I'm sure you will enjoy :) Dont forget to let your liquids steep though (grizwalds will be freshly made so best given a shake when you get them, then leave for a week with the top off). Not sure about the others as i havent tried them, so maybe dont need it if they have been pre-prepared and stocked.

Let me know what that AC Egg Custard tart is like - I'm always on the lookout for a nice custard flavour :)
