The Best Filler for a 510

Hey everyone,
What's the best filler for a 510 atty?

I've tried the pyramid tea bag technique and have gotten pretty good results. It seems to last a bit longer than the standard filler that came in the cartridge.

I've heard of the blue foam method. How does that work?

Dripping IS the best but not alway practical. I've tried all the most poular mods and have settled on the BFD (blue foam dart), it simply works and I can finally vape my carts dry. I still drip when I'm home and can't wait for my super T tip to arrive. Been waiting 5 days now

ive been using the fluval water polishing pads and have been getting great results with them.
i can vape them dry, i put in 10 drops sick the filler back in and top off with 2 drops

I've tried PTB, PTB with straw, Blue foam, blue foam dart, eheim(like fluval) and honestly I think they all work to some degree, at first i was going nuts because one day was perfect, the next time i would get leakage or it wouldn't wick, etc.., etc.. I now think that there is so many factors its not just the mod, it's the whole setup, how much filler, what type of liquid, also the atty/battery connection, if its to tight the liquid will pressure lock in the cart using blue foam or eheim, but the straw/PTB will work good, if it's not tight, the ptb/straw mod will leak. I say this because all i have to do using blue foam and its not wicking is loosen the atty a little and all is good, all i'm doing is allowing a little air in. If you want to try the blue foam or PTB and want to make sure the setup is right, I would get the precut blue foam from strictlyeuice and the PTB filled carts from cignot.

I tried a bunch of different fillers before I finally zeroed in on what I like best.

Blue foam w/ straw mod or dripping.

Tried PTB. Worked fine, but wasn't significantly better than other fillers.
Tried Poly Fill. Worked okay, but it always seemed to get stuff caught in the atty.
Tried BFD. Worked okay, may try it again.

I used organza/tulle for several months ala ptb mod, it worked well. the zfm sounded promising but after several attempts and much frustration I gave up because I wasn't able to make one that worked properly. For now my fave is the bfd. I prefer the facial scrubber more than the blue foam, it seems to wick more consistently, though both work great....carts empty completely every time and no leaking.

Tried them all and have been using AquaClear foam (off white reticulated foam) since mid-November in both my 510 and 801/302 penstyles. Perfect stuff and lasts forever. I'll never use anything else (find it in large #70 blocks at PetCo).

I've been wondering about the health effects about vaping with any filler (tastes like burnt plastic when liquid runs low), so I decided to drip from now on. Dripping rocks!

my favorite as well. If you buy a set from him, it is likely the only set you will need for a very long time. I make my own, but it is a bit tedious, and lots of trail and errors to get it right. But when you have a good plug its 50-60 perfect hits between refills.

Ok I have heard you all talking about "dripping" how long does it last and how would that work in my 510? oh and with vg juice?

I have tried the Blue Foam for 3 months with sometimes great results and sometimes leaking. Tried the Blue Foam Dart. Tried the BF Straw. Thought the PTB has very mixed reviews for the amount of time etc. Then saw a post about Top cig filter for rolling your own.

Ran to CVS (only source within 16 miles) and got some Top Tubes. They are working great on this 4th day of vaping four different 510's with different flavors. Cut them in half, fill cart, put in filter, add a few more drops and vape away.

I have not had one leak or burnt taste. I don't even have to be careful at what angle I vape or store them at when not vaping. They also seem to have a very nice draw to them and great vapor.

Currently using TW mentholyptus, Tasty Vapor Atomic Cinnicide, Halo Nuwport w menthol crystals dissoved in Everclear added, and Virginia.

I have have boxes and boxes of these tubes from when we rolled our own- just sitting there collecting dust! I'll have to give that a shot!

I drip with VG juice on my 510 atomizer. SInce I'm too new of a member here & cannot post links until my 15th post, just google or youtube "how to clean, and drip with a 510 atomizer." You will be quite impressed, the video contains a wealth of information. However, the effects of mine only last for about an hour or two, so I have to add drops every few hours of vaping. Hence my use of carts when I'm on the road or away from home for any length of time. Good luck!
