This quote is from madvapes:

Protected Trustfire 16340/CR123 Lithium Ion Battery, 880mAh

"These are 2mm larger than a standard 16340 due to the protection circuit"

The battery is fine but the additional length may be a problem in the BB.... 5/64" longer

Reason I'm asking is because I'm in Canada a nobody carries the black AW and I don't really feel like paying $25 to ship a few battery's. so the trust fire ones I linked won't work at all?

I actually have these on hand and they will not fit . I use the efest red 700 mah and the black either work fine. But not the trustfires.

Okay. I'll do everyone here a favor regarding Boge SR Cartos. I was going to keep this to myself, but then I'd feel bad about it.

Laser cut, with a 2.3 to 2.5mm hole, and they wick incredibly awesome. I disturb the visible material with a needle a couple of times for thicker juices. Helps ensure it wicks like a madman.

Can be bought here in a 5-pack with a free bottle of juice:

Boge 510 3.0 Pre Punched Stainless Cartomizer 5 Pack - 1 Hole

Or here in singles for a higher price. Why you'd want to do so, I'm not sure.

ElectronicStix.Com · Single Boge 510 Blank Laser Punched Cartomizer For Tank Systems

The hole is a tad higher up than I'd like, but it's tough to complain when it's a perfectly cut hole.

Thanks for sharing! :) Have you ever tried the 2 hole ones? Or do these work OK for you with 50/50 or higher juice?

The 2 hole ones are only 1mm or even less each. I just don't have confidence in that small of a hole for ANY juices, let alone something 50/50 or higher. The 2.3/2.5mm 1 hole ones work for me no matter what juice I put in them.

Like I said, If it's a thicker juice, I take a small needle and poke at the exposed filler material thru the hole to sort of puncture it. Once I do this, I see bubbles coming out of them every other pull I take. :)

Ah man. My 3 day old carto was kicking fine yesterday, and now it's burning.

Got a question though:

I use 75/25 juice but I punch (well, lately) 4 holes in the bottom of my cartomizer with the Supco line tap valve (Bullet punch)

The holes are much smaller than those from my Siam punch, but it doesn't deform anything.

I get zero gurgling, no juice in my mouth, nothing. 3ohms at 4.5-4.75v. I find myself having to push on the face of the tank often (the past 2 cartos).

I prime each one with about 1.2ml of juice using the condom method and most of it gets absorbed too.

Could too many holes, 4 in this case, reduce the lifespan of a carto even if it isn't flooding? Mine's tasting pretty dry.

I think I know what your problem is, because it happened to me when I first started really using cartos. Just having the holes sometimes isn't enough. The filler material in a carto - especially a Boge/Ikenvape (because they're the same damn thing) - are very dense and tight. I find that if I take a needle and puncture the material a few times thru the hole - whether it's a pre-punched or punched by me - really helps the wicking. I may do it just one good time for 80/20 or 70/30, a few times for 50/50, and more than a few times for 100% VG.

Along with this, you should get in the habit of taking PRIMER PUFFS on the carto. I can't say how often you should do this, as it's dependent on how well it's wicking; meaning how often you see bubbles coming out of the holes. If you don't see bubbles ever, you need to be pulling hard on the carto w/o firing. Then you'll see bubbles.

The carto I have in my BB, which has been in there since the day I got the BB, has 2 holes punched by the QT-1 (nearly identical to your Bullet). After every 2-3 pulls on the BB, I give it a good dry pull or two. I'll even drop the door, dry pull, then look at it to see if there are bubbles. This is key to keeping a carto working well longer and keeping it wet enough to perform how you expect it to.

Thanks! I can't get bubbles no matter what. I'll dry pull until the top of the filler is saturated, then it vapes, but I get no bubbles at all. I haven't tried poking at the filler material with a needle yet, but I think I'll pull my carto half out and do that quickly to see if it helps. The Bullet punch makes some pretty small holes too lol.

hum....I've used Boge 3.0 ohm carto's for over 2 years...used pre-punched and punched my own ... and never have to do a dry pull to get it to work....and bubbles are not an indicator of a properly operating Boge carto....I only see bubbles every once and a while...

I have learned that tanks can sometimes have a lower pressure inside them from vaping (kinda like a vacuum) and it helps to equalize the pressure. You might just open the filler ball and let the pressure equalize and see if that helps...
