Hey guys. So I decided to rebuild my billow today. I wanted to try to fit fused claptons in it. Made about 10 inches of 28 N80/36 KA1 and tried a 2mm 6 wrap first but it came out too low (0.17 ohms) because I want to use it on a tube mech. Had enough to do another and was pretty happy with this 5 wrap on a 2.4 mm.

Fits well in the chimney piece and everything. Came out to 0.2 ohms. Perfect. From start of taking out my drill to pinching and fiddling with the final pair, and losing a screw and looking for the box for a replacement screw in the middle, about an hour had passed. I was so excited and ready to try my new build on my 2 week old Billow V2. Then I went to the kitchen where my rinsed remaining pieces of the tank were drying and saw the glass piece sitting there with a huge freakin crack from the edge about one inch to the center. I stood there for about two minutes looking at it contemplating still trying to vape with it before I angrily threw it in the trash. ... man, I hadn't dropped it or anything. It must have happened when I was struggling to unscrew the bottom steel piece from the tank (which btw happened everytime I disassembled). I'm so ....... I emailed eciggity. Do you guys think they'll send me a free replacement being that I just got it a couple weeks ago? Or do you think they'll make me pay the stupid 5 bucks + shipping?

Beautiful coils. Really nice work.

For the tank, glass breaks and as frustrating as that can be, look at it as a consumable. OTOH, because it broke from some issue with the bottom end being stuck, maybe they will just send you one. If it really sticks that bad, they should likely send you a replacement atty. The threads on these things aren't exactly aerospace quality lol, but so crunchy that they cause the tank to break from the force required to unscrew the deck seems like a manufacturing defect to me.

And what camera did you use? Good macro capability. I need to get a better camera.

Funny, I just used a regular old iPhone 6 with no extra lens or anything, and I think the macro capability sucks. That pic was actually the result from direct lightning and about 20 pics and cropping and editing to get the best shot I could for the post lol. Anyway, I emailed eciggity who is closed for the weekend, but I mentioned that it happened when I was unscrewing the base. I'm thinking now though after reading your post that I should have played up the notion that it happened as a result of the threads and it taking some force to disassemble it. I already ordered another tank because I can't wait but hopefully they can send me another or comp me for it or something. I've never dealt with them before as far as customer service so I don't know what to expect.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but has the leaking issue been fixed? I found out how to fix it with my original Billow by packing wicking material between the posts and air holes and also combing a little wick into the juice channels, but It's a pain and it makes me question their product testing and development. If they fixed that I might consider picking one up.

No leaking here either. I had an orchid that leaked and it turned out to be the oring in the top cap that sealed to the chimney wasn't seated properly in the top cap. Check you billow for any air leak in the top end because that will leak juice in the bottom end. I've also had some spitting with the billow v2 if any part of the wick touches the top of the dam around the air holes.

It's a good design in the sense that it will wick really well. Anything that wicks well is really just a type of controlled leak lol.

Thanks, that's good to know. The top seal was in place and as far as I know there was no air leak on top. Like I said I was able to get it to stop after I changed the way I wicked it. It's just odd how the juice would gush out of the air holes. It was max VG too!

I just ordered my Billow V2 yesterday. After reading all the great comments about it, I'm excited to get mine. My intention is to use it on my Evic VT with titanium wire. I'll probably try it out with kanthal first until I get the hang of wicking and using it. I haven't used a pressure tank in about a year since I gave up my Kayfun Lite+ for an RTDA.

So to update you guys on my broken tank issue... I ended up ordering a replacement tank on eciggity because I couldn't wait, but shortly afterwards a rep replied to my email and she said she saw that I ordered one and said they would add a second replacement glass to my order. Not bad I guess.

And as far as the leaking posts, mine would still leak but only when I would have it on its side or tipped. I still don't know if this is normal or considered "leaky" for a tank.

It might be cheaper to make a plug out of delrin for the airhole and plug the juice channels with wick from the single coil--4 juice channels 1 wick.

By coincidence I was thinking about single wicking it this morning. I plan to use a small square of aluminum tape over the airhole/juice dam and just stuff cotton into the juice channels on the one side. I think this will work . . . ?

I wouldn't use anything that has adhesive on it (tape) because it gets hot in the chamber and you don't want to be potentially vaping adhesives. you could just leave the hole open for now.

If you still want to tape it, I would at least tape the hole on the bottom of the base (inside the adjustable air ring).

Anyone know if or where to get a replacement tank that's not glass for this? I don't want a stainless steel tank, but glass seems like it's too vulnerable. I havent bought this rta yet because I'm still debating on getting this one or another dual coil rta. I currently have an orchid v4 and I'm wondering if this is really any better as far as air flow which is my only complaint about the v4.
