OH SNAP!

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS!?

I think someone stepped on someone else's toes...

(BACK IN A FEW WITH MORE NEWS)

I took a look at and don't think much of it. It didn't mention a regulator. That means the voltage will keep dropping as the battery drains. Also I don't care much for 10440 batteries. My wife has a VP1 that uses protected 10440 batteries and we're always having buy new ones. They just don't last that long.

I had hubby take a look at it on the guy's website and he told me no no no, not good. He had concerns about the plastic melting. I'm sticking with the original, especially if he comes out with the Mini Buzz :)

Plastic melting???

Could you ask him exactly what plastic parts would create a melting problem?
Just sounds like an odd statement to make as plastic enclosure mods, while they never be as aesthetically pleasing(to some) as metal ones, have a much better track record than the metal ones in the safety depatment.

I hear ya.
Battery size/capacity is always a trade-off when comparing the size/bulkiness of a mod.
Some prefer large heavy metal logs w/longer battery life in their pocket.
Some prefer small light plastic boxes w/less battery life.

It does look a bit on the scary side.. Who knows though, it may work very well. I'll stick with my buzz :)

Not sure exactly what's "scary" about it...but to each his own.

I'm sure some will prefer "The little sister" to the Buzz just based on the fact it offers a simple "dial-a-voltage" thumbwheel as opposed to trying to locate a slotted screwhead recessed inside the body of the mod with a tiny screwdriver all while driving in the dark.

Having said that, I can also see a few benefits the buzz has, price point not being one of them.

I cant think of a situation where I'd need to adjust voltage while driving, and I think I'd have to resist the urge to do so anyway since like, I'd be driving! lol I do see your point :)

I'm not sure what the issue is with the price point. It's comparable to most of your HV mods with the added benefit of the variable voltage, a light body, and safety in the circuitry so you're not bound to protected batteries.

Hi fir,

I have nothing against plastic mods, my first mod was a Bartleby and I still have it. Nor do I have anything against this mod. However you do have a very small confined space with a heat dissipater that is extremely close if not touching thin plastic. Something other plastic mods do not have because they are not varivolt. All the voltage that the regulator keeps from going to the atty has to go somewhere and in this case it's going out as heat through the heat dissipater. It may never be a problem, but the potential is there. Ok back to being ditzy :)

so are unprotected batteries OK do use in my BUZZ? are they still liable to blow up?

and what about 3.6v batteries? I see a lot of these, and wonder how they compare to the 3.7v batteries on the notcigs website.

oh, and another thing ;)
where do you get your buzz batts? I only bought 1 set with my BUZZ, now I want another!

I don't think there is a difference between the 3.6 and 3.7 volt batteries. The normal working voltage of RCR123a batteries is 3.6 to 3.7 volts, so some retailers call them 3.6 volt and others call them 3.7 volt.

You can buy Buzz batteries from Notcigs, Battery Junction, Lighthound, and Madvapes. AW Li-Ion and the black Trustfire last the longest.

While unprotected batteries are ok to use in the Buzz, because the Buzz has 5 way protection, I personally would not recommend it to anybody. That being said, I HAVE done it LOL I tested all my batteries when I first got the Buzz to see if they all fit and worked. I have some unprotected batteries that are only 33mm tall and they still fit and worked, which amazed me.

There are plenty of really good protected batteries out there so no need to get the unprotected ones. My favorites are the UltraFire, but I want to try the TrustFire ones sometime. I got the least amount of time when using the AW batteries, both the Li-Ion and the LiMNs. That is just my experience YMMV :) Those are the 3 main brands I personally would suggest to use.

I got part of my AWs through lighthound.com and some through IkenVape.com Buzz has the UltraFire ones and MadVapes has the TrustFire. Unless you want to wait a month for delivery, then you can order from China or Hong Kong and save a little bit.

Happy Vaping!!!
