Forgot to grab batteries for mine, but just got these on the way
mmmmmmm 1800mah :)

You'll have to let us know how those work. I for one don't believe that outrageous 1800mAh claim. On the Candlepower forum they have tested 16340 batteries and they range from 435mAh to 500mAh depending on the brand. Don't believe battery claims. They inflate their ratings to get you to buy them.

ya i just read about em, so they probably are less than half of the actual rated mah. Supposidly they are protected... but i haven't really found proof other than claims.

I kinda just bought them on a whim cus of the deal, and figured 3.6=protected.

someone bought a pair claiming to be 1200 mah, and he hit 700mah

So they probably are just some no-names rebranded, and they may blow up n my face, but oh well, at least i got a good deal right!?!?!

Heres to hoping :toast:

edit::: I can test Mah with a multimeter right?

I've bought batteries from Ebay before and used them. I'm sure they are better than the ones I got impatient and bought from Walgreens. I couldn't wait and was new to all this anyway I ran up to WG paid $17.00 for two CR2s got home put them in a pv and then read about protected circuits. They weren't protected and they weren't rechargeable. I felt like the biggest fool around. So now I got two new CR2s I can't use and can't give away. :D

Remeber Li-Ion batteries can always SELF destruct ( not make anybody paranoid ! ) BUT the quality has come a long way in the last 6 months .
The battery Companies have taken notice and responded .
The BUZZ has lots of built in protection already and we will be increasing that soon to include a Over current SHUTOFF as well ( we have max current / over current protection but not shutoff )
I have also found a higher current IC that we are looking at ( not sure if we need more current yet ? ) I am looking into these as well.

We will always be looking to improve the products we make and provide more protection and a better product for the Vaper .

Any suggestions you have please make them available to us we are ALL EARS !

I have a bunch of stuff going on this weekend so shipments will get a little behind normal ( band gig's etc. )

I have changed the web site to show a 3-5 day delivery so we can make sure we have the time to make these right and test the hell out of them.

I have had a couple of returns because I rushed the build NO MORE OF THAT !

We are very quality control conscious , and do not want any returns or failures because of rushing orders. We will delay shipments before we ship something out that is NOT 100% .

Is that true even if the voltage is regulated? I get more runtime out of my Buzz than I did with my VP2. The VP2 takes a 14500 battery and that has a higher mAh than the 16340 batteries that the Buzz takes.
Yes. Regulation doesn't change capacity. If it were PWM regulated it would have a longer runtime (due to effecient regulation) but the buzz has a linear regulator. If you had three setups with identical batteries and identical loads - a single battery, two stacked batteries, and two stacked batteries with a linear regulator - they would all run out at exactly the same time.

If your 16340 mod is outlasting a 14500, it's because the 14500 capacity of the 14500 was probably overrated.

When will the VVPV be coming out.
I'm saving up, but I wish it was bottom feed.

I have to see IF I can justify the Mold costs ( $5-6,000 !!! ) I am looking at a case that is pre-made not as sexy looking but I can get it on the market faster and for less cost.

I really want to make the enclosure I designed But the cost is prohibitive right now.

Bottom feeders have several problems
1. Juice leaks back into the bottle and spoils it
2. Exclusive atomizers , you cannot use a standard atty that I know of.
3.possible juice in the electronics

top feeders Cons:
1. no leaking of juice back into the bottle
2. Stock atomizers
3. clean delivery of the juice

4. OUR design delivers 2 drops EVERY time

it also holds 5 ml of juice so it is good for a whole day.
I am looking at a new design that is a single battery 18650 and a boost regulator for 3.6- 5.5 volts variable regulated output. with built in juice feed , a variation on the VVPV :toast:
