Just received my newest addition today and I immediately scratched it, on purpose...

I used some 320 grit to start and finished it with the 3M Scuff Sponge, I call it "D'Elegance". I was originally going to polish the door and button cover but after polishing my Atomic I realized that e-liquid makes these annoying smear marks on polished finishes. I decided to split up the SL to play around with configurations with my other Grands, "DeVille" and "Brougham."

I also attempted to put a brushed finish on the button as well, turned out "OK." I am really loving the feel of the brushed finish and I think the look really adds to the utilitarianism of the SL Grand.

Now to celebrate the new arrival I think I will be rebuilding the current RDAs to tune each vape to a specific e-liquid and different purpose for each Grand.

ADDIT: Yes, if you haven't noticed I have named my REOs after Cadillacs.

OMG! I ordered the very same one last saturday (haven't gotten my shipment notice yet ROB:)). It's fantastic! You've put the bug in my head about scratching it. Thanks for sharing.

LOL

When I was 17, I bought a 1970 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. (this was in the 90's.)

That thing was a BOAT, and would literally "float" on the highway. I wanna say the car comes in close to 19' long. What an awesome car to cruise around in, it was so damn smooth.

Everything on it was automatic, even an automatic front bench seat that would adjust back alllllll the way 'till it just about touched the back seat. Needles to say, me picking up any girl for a date in that bedroom on wheels was a daddy's worst nightmare. :D

Thank you all for the kind comments. I am really happy with my "Fleet of Cadillacs" especially since everyone here (Cloud Chasing Cali) uses either tube mechs or regulated box mods and I can standout not only with convenience but also "style."

My new EDC is the Black Wrinkle LP Grand with the SL Brushed door and button cover using an Origen V2 running a 0.24Ω Dual Coil. The Origen V2 is a 22mm RDA but the performance has been phenomenal for flavor, the BF pin combined with the deep juice well make it perfect for "squonk and forget" vaping. It does make less dense clouds but the flavor is intense and I have other RDAs if I am feeling "foggy"

The brushed finish much easier than I thought but I do have a few stray lines from using too large a piece of sand paper. The best part about it though is I don't have to worry about scratching it at all (dents and dings maybe a little but I try not to kick my REOs in the dirt ) because I can just go back for a few passes with the sand paper to blend and scuff it to finish. I am not sure what affect the different grades of sandpaper would change the overall feel or look but I would not go any lower than 220 grit.

I have been a fan of the Cadillac ever since I first sat in the drivers seat of a 1962 Sedan DeVille. 19' 3/4" of pure style and comfort, big block under the hood and electric options galore on the interior....and FINS! The more recent Cadillacs have not evoked as much lust with their styling as say a 1953 Cadillac El Dorado.

Thank you all for reading and commenting REOville wouldn't be what we love without you guys :toast:
