An article on the results of a Czech survey, with none of the standard misinformation:
The e-cigarette as ‘genuine competitor’
The e-cigarette as ‘genuine competitor’
It would have been useful if the interviewers had asked those who used ecigs (especially those who were disappointed by them) what kind or brand they had tried.
Agreed, but there are so many brands on the market right now, it would be difficult to keep track of all of them. Maybe a question that asked about the size of the device: cigarette size; cigar size (ego); larger.
If you want to do an ecig study and you want to get negative results ....
1. Do not allow anyone who vapes to be on the team.
2. Choose the worst possible ecig you can find.
3. Choose the worst tasting liquid you can find with the lowest level of nic.
4. Don't give any instructional information to smokers before handing them the garbage to try it out.
I vacation at Prague for every 4th of July week and Christmas. E-nic was everywhere. Just walking down the street I saw countless amounts of people with mostly eGo-sized pvs. At restaurants and bars, e-nic is allowed in non-smoking sections. There is no stigma around e-nic in Prague, as there seems to be in the US. Non smokers think it is great that people have quit smoking- such a high percentage of the population smokes. For some reason, they get it in Prague, whereas in the US, it seems those who quit smoking for e-nic are still seen as desperate addicts- at least from many comments I have read on articles concerning e-cigarettes. Prague is significantly more open and free than any city in the US, or Europe, though- at least ones I have been to.
After decades of rule by the nazis and Soviets, they just want to be left alone and not told what to do. That's why all the Czechs I know think the EU regulations on cigarettes and e-nic are a joke- they won't abide by them anyways.

Good idea ... (I forgot about needing a converter for European current)Here's an idea for a travel agent: Trips to vape-friendly locales! (Supply free converter for charging batteries on European current.)
The ANTZ 40 year old quest to demonize smoking then tobacco then nicotine has worked well in this Country.
You're rightYou forgot the most important target: smokers (then all tobacco users, then all nicotine users.)
You forgot the most important target: smokers (then all tobacco users, then all nicotine users.)
? You can't have smoking without smokers, wanted to keep it simple.
The ANTZ try to claim, it's nothing personal, we don't hate smokers, we just hate smoking.

But what they don't realize is that it is impossible to demonize a behavior without it leading to some folks demonizing the actor.
They even have their own Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/I-hate-Smoking-and-Smokers/190436344307427
