The file upload size limit on ECF is 5.2MB for gif, jpg, png, pdf etc.

Uploading files to the Media section = 10MB.

There are several websites for reducing the sizes of larger gif files.

This gif was 8.4MB making it too big for ECF......

I resized it down to 4.8MB - - - using the following free gif resizer website:

Simple and free tool to resize (scale) animated images online. Resize animated GIF, WebP, APNG, AVIF images without losing the animation and quality.

Instructions:

- upload the file
- specify a width
- click "Save"

The site will then download the resized gif to your device.

It's quick and easy!!!

Also you can use a gif site and use the gifs only with links ! Plus you can make an account and use it as a storage unit and link maker, the same thing goes for the photos and the photos site, and there are some sites that you can use both gifs and photos... !
