So the dependability of the iTurbo is just a fantasy after all? I've got some of them on the way and I'm not going to be a happy camper if they leak just like all the other clearos I've tried. Hopefully this is just a break-in period and it will work out further down the line.

Don't know about Echo bats but the ITurbo has many names depending on who is selling it. Here is a review of it under the name Stardust. eGo Stardust Cartomizer Review - a Big update to the CE2

FWIW I've decided to order a Echo 1300 AUTO BATTERY BLACK 901 THREAD and USB CHARGER for ECH0 auto battries from Cropduster to get an idea what you are all so fond of. :)

I haven't had anymore leaking issues. I think I just overfilled when I refilled it. I just jumped the gun a little but was concerned being as I have stayed away from using anything other than echo cartos because of leaking issues.

No wonder they looked familar. The Stardust was one of the Visions I had not tried being as they were usually out of stock. The one difference is the iTurbo has 808 threads and will work on the echo.
I haven't seen the Stardust with 808 threading but I'm sure they have them somewhere. Thanks for the info. That review has lots of good info:2cool:.

They' been a very popular item. They've got fresh stock in a couple of time and have been sold out in a couple of days. Kind of sorry I didn't buy a couple when they were introduced at about $3. I did buy the Stone which turned out to be a pretty nice unit until the coil failed. They claim to be getting Stone refills at a reasonable price but they've been saying that since the Stone and Stardust were introduced.

Where are you buying the ITurbo?

Just take off the drip tip and fill down the side. Just don't fill above the top line. You can just fill using your bottle.

I got mine from VaporGirl The Vapor Girl: the very best vaping solutions known to man!

I have and like the Vision Stone too.

Thanks for all the info. I had exerted the normal amount of "pull" to remove the drip tip and it resisted with an abnormal amount of resistance so I decided I wasn't supposed to remove it. Now I know I have to insist that the tip comes off.

Does it have to remain a certain degree of vertical position or can it be put down horizontally like on a desk?

I received some very leaky ones. But I already found the solution. (I also managed to fix the condensation buildup as well but I had a part that may not be available to all.) It seems the rubber condom can be pushed down too far causing airflow issues past the wicks. This will cause the air to try to force it's way in and pull in too much liquid. The liquid then obstructs the air tube and gurgles before finding it's way down to the battery.

But if you get in there with a piece of metal and pull up the rubber condom, then let the tip put it back in place when you screw it on, it will make sure it's not pushed down too far.

You're welcome!

And yes....these do come apart for cleaning

Thanks Charlz! Figured you would know more about these. Do they need to be hammered down to get them to come apart for cleaning?

Nope. If you screw them on to a battery and wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.....the plactic will slide out of the metal base. It's a lot of carefulness and cursing to get it back on and I'm sure doing it repeatedly would cause the plastic to crack eventually but if you had to, you can. I assume you can hammer the post out just like the 510 version but I won't try that on a well functioning unit.

Um..... the drip tip screws on and off. You know that, right?

Yes. I went back to the explanation offered in the link. Looking more closely at the unit I realized that was how to take it apart. "Insisting" that the tip comes is sort of my code phrase for, "You're not doing something correctly so take another look." LOL Thanks.

The first rule of troubleshooting is... don't overlook the obvious. Did I ever tell you about the time I replaced the fuel pump on my dad's pickup truck only to discover that the gas tank was empty?

True story.

JJ :)

Just last week I couldn't get the key to turn in my ignition. Wasted a day getting my spare set....getting rides back and forth to the car. Looking online, saw that newer cars can freeze the ignition when both brake lights are out. One did need to be changed. The other one got disconnected and reconnected several times.....tried and tried. Finally about to call a locksmith when my brother-in-law shined a light into the ignition and fished out a tiny piece of tape. Must have gotten stuck on my key.
It will be a while before I live that one down.
