Yep a syringe is the only way to fill the echo for me. It is fast easy and clean.
and a pic of the ITurbo:

So the dependability of the iTurbo is just a fantasy after all? I've got some of them on the way and I'm not going to be a happy camper if they leak just like all the other clearos I've tried. Hopefully this is just a break-in period and it will work out further down the line.
Don't know about Echo bats but the ITurbo has many names depending on who is selling it. Here is a review of it under the name Stardust. eGo Stardust Cartomizer Review - a Big update to the CE2
FWIW I've decided to order a Echo 1300 AUTO BATTERY BLACK 901 THREAD and USB CHARGER for ECH0 auto battries from Cropduster to get an idea what you are all so fond of.

No wonder they looked familar. The Stardust was one of the Visions I had not tried being as they were usually out of stock. The one difference is the iTurbo has 808 threads and will work on the echo.
I haven't seen the Stardust with 808 threading but I'm sure they have them somewhere. Thanks for the info. That review has lots of good info.

They' been a very popular item. They've got fresh stock in a couple of time and have been sold out in a couple of days. Kind of sorry I didn't buy a couple when they were introduced at about $3. I did buy the Stone which turned out to be a pretty nice unit until the coil failed. They claim to be getting Stone refills at a reasonable price but they've been saying that since the Stone and Stardust were introduced.
Where are you buying the ITurbo?

I received some very leaky ones. But I already found the solution. (I also managed to fix the condensation buildup as well but I had a part that may not be available to all.) It seems the rubber condom can be pushed down too far causing airflow issues past the wicks. This will cause the air to try to force it's way in and pull in too much liquid. The liquid then obstructs the air tube and gurgles before finding it's way down to the battery.
But if you get in there with a piece of metal and pull up the rubber condom, then let the tip put it back in place when you screw it on, it will make sure it's not pushed down too far.
You're welcome!
And yes....these do come apart for cleaning
Thanks for all the info. I had exerted the normal amount of "pull" to remove the drip tip and it resisted with an abnormal amount of resistance so I decided I wasn't supposed to remove it. Now I know I have to insist that the tip comes off.
Does it have to remain a certain degree of vertical position or can it be put down horizontally like on a desk?
Um..... the drip tip screws on and off. You know that, right?
Yes. I went back to the explanation offered in the link. Looking more closely at the unit I realized that was how to take it apart. "Insisting" that the tip comes is sort of my code phrase for, "You're not doing something correctly so take another look." LOL Thanks.
