LOL See above post!

We stumbled over each others posts. I've been looking at those. The 801 cartridges.....are they like 510/901 cartridges? Or is that white sleeve thing the cartdridge the chamber? I don't get it The 510/901 cartridges were a different kind of plastic and would crack instead of being pliable. I went through a few before I was able to drill a hole into the chamber to make a suitable tip.

Is the hole in the middle or does the airflow run up the side like a 510/901 cart? I guess that's my question.

Ultimately, I found a way to seal off the fluid in the iTurbo and 801 tips can be screwed into the threads. But I would need to trim down the end so it sits flush. I've done it with a soft tip but I don't want to trim down any of my hard ones. I only have 2 and they need to have enough to grip the echo cart so I would need one dedicated to the iTurbo.

They will bend if boiled. I just boiled one and bent it and it and it didn't crack. I will have to boil some more because it does work good with the Kuwako. Only cost about 50 cents each so I ordered 10 more.
Thanks for the tip. I saw where you posted about bending them a while back but never got around to trying it.

All of my 808 cartos have slots. All my 808 batts both sealed and unsealed have tiny air intake holes on the threads of the battery. 3 for v4l and 2 for gen 2s

So u have slots and I have air holes ? Lol

Not exactly.....talking about the center post.....not the threads. The threads always have the tiny holes on the battery and air slots on the carto. There are two parts to the battery connection....the threads and the center post. It's the center post that is either unsealed with a hole that leads to the battery or "sealed" with a solid center post and no hole in the middle. Look at the SI Image......"sealed" has a slot across the post........unsealed has a hole........

click for a larger image.......the slot is barely visible but if you look close its running vertical on the center post as you are looking at it.

The only reason I can think of for the echos having a solid center post is that the draw can be airy till they are broken in so limiting the airflow was necessary. I give them the benefit of they doubt. I doubt they purposely designed a post to keep us from using other hardware than 808. And the drip protected posts on the market were already slotted. Why would they go out of their way to design a different one unless it was important to the function of the unit?

Found it!!!!!!
I got it! Not sure if you can tell from the pics but I took a high speed dremmel and cut the adapter to resemble the echomizers. Four slits around the side and one all the way across the part the batt touches. Looks like sin and is a little jagged but it works!!! I also put some tape around the carto to adapter connection to stiffen the draw a little. The one on the right is my modded one and the left is an original one.

Slots on the threads will allow the battery to activate but there will still be no airflow to the hole in the center post to the coil. The slot in one of the two center posts (either battery or carto) lets air flow in and up the hole to bring vapor to your lips.

This is the 901 that worked on the gen 2s without slots. There is a pin hole for air intake on the carto housing towards the base.

Of course I broke it trying to debridge it, so I can't prove this. But I dunno lol

Is there a notch crossing the post? If there is, I believe it works with sealed flat post gen2. My 901 is flat without notch and it doesn't work with sealed flat post gen2.

But, is there a sealed gen2 with a notch?

I've got to save all my money for a Kick and then I'm through ordering for the year! lol

What is a Kick? Can't count the times I thought I had everything I would want for a year or so then up pops some shiny new toys to buy, but I know you can do it. :)

A kick is a wattage regulator that you can put in a 18650 Mod and give it the same wattage control as a Darwin. It is made by Evolv the same people that make the Darwin. Regardless of what ohm resistance of carto or charge on battery you get the same output every hit until discharge. They cost 45.00 compared to 250.00 or more for a Darwin of course you have to already have a 18650 mod but I have a couple already.
Problem now though is I found something mighty pretty today that I would love to add to my collection. I know this isn't Echo related but these sure are pretty.
