I'm not the biggest fan of the ce3 do to the fact that you can't take them apart and are subject to all the failure points of tanks......leaky or dry hits based on juice and again, you can't take them apart to trouble shoot. Or have I missed one that comes apart? The mini tank at Mtn Vapor is the only exception as I only use it to test juices and promptly soak them after they have run dry which is about an hour or two.

It's super easy to put the guts of a ce2 inside a turbo shell. It's my favorite so far and looks better than most ce2 tank mods on the market.

There is the new Phoenix line of clearos-top and bottom coil I'd like to try. We should contact them to ask for 808 versions.

That is the one I'm talking about. I got it from a different supplier. They are supposed to be coming out with a 3ml cone shaped soon. My computer is going out so I may not be on much longer until I can get my laptop from grandson. lol
They are going to have a 808 version of some sort. I don't think you can take them apart though.

Steve speaks highly of this particular CE3 in his review. I have five but haven't used one long enough to have an opinion

Good at least you are able to use them. My new X2 battery will not accept a charge so I'm really not in need of any now. lol I might just try to get a refund being as they are not any better than the Echo battery anyways. I didn't think they would be but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something and wanted to test it out.
:2cool:

Batt is acting up already!?

My uncle ordered one and I went by and tried it out today. He got a manual unfortunately so I can't compare technically, but it pretty much hits just like my Echos. And the 900 is LONG lol

Yep it didn't take a charge after the first discharge. The good thing is SI does have good CS and they are sending me another without me sending the bad one back.
The 1300 looks to be the same length as my first ego 1300. It was exactly the length of two ego 650's stacked. They called it the night stick and didn't last long on the market though.

My x2 is working fine but I left it plugged in until now. I'm going to let it run down and see. Unlike my other "passthroughs" which vaped for awhile before the charger kicked in. The charging starts the moment I take my first draw. Very weird.

That is the same as I have and it has bottom coils.
So between you and Errol, I'm confused. One of the pictures in Steve's review has the metal tube separated from the coil and wick. The bottom coils can be taken apart for cleaning? In other words...you can expose the coil and wick?

Evidently you can according to Steve and his pictures. That is the same one I have but you know me I don't take anything apart on purpose anyway. lol

You've never even taken apart a ce2 for cleaning?

Nope I've never been a ce2 fan although I tried a couple of versions early on and didn't have good luck with them. Everyone was constantly modding this and that to get them to work and that was opposite of what I wanted. I've used mostly Go-Go cartos and echo cartos and before that it was atomizers. The Riva-T was the first Ce2 type I liked and I didn't realize it was a Ce2 or I probably wouldn't have tried it but a friend sent it to me to try and it worked real good but I've never taken it apart. I then tried a couple of the vision cartos and liked them too but I won't be taking them apart either. lol

Those Riva's tanks were just revisions of the giantomizer/ego w/thing-with-a-pen-cap/even heard of them as ce8s-lol! The Riva Tank was SOLID! There has been no way to get anything apart. Too bad too. I liked it for the week it lasted but not enough to buy a bunch. I even recommended them a few times because all the others I tried had huge condensation and leak issues. This one kept it to a minimum and even worked well with my old egos.

If I keep reusing and cleaning things and modding them to perfection so I can use them as much as possible, maybe I can retire some day and own every PV on the planet. :D

It is fun to get the first batch of stuff and dismantle it to see what needs to be done to get them right for the second and third revisions.

the cool thing about modding is, if I/we get good at it, with all the scrap tubes, syringes, atomizer cups, wires, coils and wicks laying around, we can essentially construct our own atomizers/clearomizers/tanks until kingdom come.

And like charlz said, save the cash for other hardware...but then again, after building this puck, I'm likely going to stop buying hardware as well lol

Are any of you using a Pass-Through without a battery inline? That is one of the first and best things I bought. For someone sitting at the computer a lot it's a battery saver and at 4v plus under load it really brings some cartos to life.

My Vapor Store https://www.myvaporstore.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=passthrough has a full selection of 801, 901 and 510 in auto or manual for $13 and $11.75 which happens to be about the best price I have found.

Man.....you can always tell when the echo stock is perfect. We really go off on a tangent. Will someone new chime in with an issue please?

Since Dennis was the one who got us the DCCs, I contacted him about a 2.5ohm echomizer so you guys could get on this too. I've been puffing on my 2.6 ohm all day and just refilled a couple hours ago. It's the perfect vape for us toke type vapers.

Made one last night that I measured three times and cut once. Wired it up, and just filled it up today. The vapor was warm and qiuck. I had to ohm it and sure enough it was 2.3 ohms. (oops) Gotta say it's a nice vape, it still has great flavor and definite kick where the one I made at 2.0 was just hot steam. I may take it with me for those times I can't vape alot and just need a quick toot. But it's not for tokin on. 2.5 ohms, really hits the sweet spot on these. I hope you guys get to try one soon.
