Maybe not having a catchy name is why we've stayed rather small in comparison to other groups. The thread is almost a year old in a couple of weeks though. I have and use lots of PV's but the Echo has been my main PV for a year. I still have lots of Go-gos and like it also but I very seldom use it being as if I'm not using one of my mods trying some new carto I'm using my Echo. So the Echo has passed the test and competed with the best and newest stuff for a year and that's amazing for me.:2cool::vapor:

Thanks TX for keeping us up to date on all things Echo (and in line) over this last year. It is truly a unique and proven design.

Thanks DSL! It has been fun for me and I have lots of time on my hands so I have tried to keep up with the Echo suppliers and have tried to buy something from all of them. I've tried to post the best deals and prices regardless if it is one of my favorites. I think this has helped us keep prices down and competitive. When we started the prices were between 50-60.00 for a kit and 5.00-6.00 for cartos.
We have had alot of good feedback and tips from lots of Echo Faithful. The good thing about the Echo for me is it takes very little tinkering to keep it working good. I've occasionaly had to move the battery post up a little to get it to charge and that has been about it for me. Now some of our Tinkers do and so they know more about them than me. For me it has been pretty much fill them with 3.4 ml and vape until it is about dry and it usually takes about 3 ml on a refill. I try to remember to clean the threads once in a while with alcohol and I have a big bag of cartos to clean someday(maybe). lol I've killed four batteries and only a couple of cartos in the year. The rest of the cartos were still working but just need cleaning. I think a couple of the batteries got juice in them being as that was before they were sealed.:2cool:

They do have a 808 to 901 that would be the same thing and would probably work. How many did you buy. I could trade you a box of ego stardust type for them being as I just bought the 808 x2 battery and I have the opposite problem. lol

I've only got three left. Two purple and one blue. I decided to put one on my little Volt battery. It looks ridiculous, but it vapes really well!

Of course, you got lucky to have enough in reserve, Tx, to have not needed to buy any echomizers from the bad batch that came through. I think the other thing that has kept us strong, is we all love the battery and hardware but we don't have to kiss anyone's .... and we aren't trying to score points with anyone. It's an independant thread, not a dealer thread so we are free to address issues as they arise and overcome them without bringing on three pages of posts of folks exclaiming how they never had issues so maybe we should just contact customer service. LOL!

The echos are better than ever now and maybe I'll start a campaign for a 2.5ohm echomizer, believe me when I tell you it's awesome. Slightly warmer vapor without the need to use twice the juice. Besides, I've noticed when I take the DCCs apart and put them on a 3.6v manual, the lower coil is slow to react. The power seems to go to the top coil first and then the bottom coil and it will only start to glow after a delay. I now understand why 3.7v batteries may not be sufficient to power DCCs. It's actually just having the coil closer to your lips that makes it warmer, kind of an illusion. It's an inefficient way to vape at 3.7v.

We also need adapters that are designed specifically for the new posts of the 808 sealed auto. All the ones on the market are designed for 901. There is no adapter out there meant specifically for the 808 model.

I say all that while actually being content with the unit as a whole and having a ton of projects going on so we'll see. I would like the non modders here to be able to enjoy the beauty of a 2.5ohm echomizer though.

Good at least you are able to use them. My new X2 battery will not accept a charge so I'm really not in need of any now. lol I might just try to get a refund being as they are not any better than the Echo battery anyways. I didn't think they would be but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something and wanted to test it out.

I'm not the biggest fan of the ce3 do to the fact that you can't take them apart and are subject to all the failure points of tanks......leaky or dry hits based on juice and again, you can't take them apart to trouble shoot. Or have I missed one that comes apart? The mini tank at Mtn Vapor is the only exception as I only use it to test juices and promptly soak them after they have run dry which is about an hour or two.

It's super easy to put the guts of a ce2 inside a turbo shell. It's my favorite so far and looks better than most ce2 tank mods on the market.

There is the new Phoenix line of clearos-top and bottom coil I'd like to try. We should contact them to ask for 808 versions.

Found this adapter (510 - 808D Tank Adapter) 510 to 808D Tank Adapter - basically it makes 510 connection into 808 Ego aka. threaded 808,

Do 808 - 808 Ego exist? Just thinking this adapter could expand Echo compability with other threaded 808 cartos/clearos...
Mad vapes is the best place for adapters. Thats where I got the 901 to 808 adapter. I reversed the center post and that's how I made 901s work. Again, there is no 808 to anything adapters. They make them for the 901 post, which always worked on unprotected auto 808s. We need to rock the boat on this one. It's been over 6 months since drip protected posts. This market is always so quick to react. I don't know why anyone hasn't made one yet. Just tried a 901 on the Volt 650 auto. No dice.
