I think that's life with any carto I have even used mn-puffer, that's why I say if you get a good clean, let dry and get a second run your way ahead of the game. I never even use to bother with cleaning and would just trash them but now with these big Echo cartos it just may be worth getting that 2nd run out of them. Carto's are a disposable like most of the stuff in this industry still cheaper though and you get way more time from the stuff than a pack of smokes in my opinion.

I will be looking forward to hearing which method works best. The syringe flush is a good ideal. I haven't heard that one before.:2cool:
I have both the ultrasonic and syringe, but I use the syringe almost exclusively. I can clean all my cartos regardless of type by connecting the syringe to it via a 3/4" piece of 3/8ID vinyl tubing. I just suck up some almost boiling water from a cup, connect it and push the 1st load through the carto into the sink, then while still connected stick it back in the cup and flush hot water back and forth through the carto (it helps to plug the center hole with a broken toothpick or cut q-tip depending on carto). After a water flush, use the syringe to blow it out over the sink then grab a capful of vodka and flush that back and forth a few times. Blow that out, give it a taryn spin and you're ready to fill and vape. No need to dry. I also use this method for a quick wash of atty's when I'm tasting a bunch of flavors. I can wash/dry an atty in under 30 seconds! This method had made many a carto live a new life as well.

It's arrived! :) I've been using it for a day and so far so good. I'm really liking these auto batts. Just a quick question to those in the know. I don't have a US plug adapter and have been charging on my computer for now. Can I safely use any usb ac/dc adapter as long as the output is 5v, 500mA DC? As far a I can remember it should be ok? The input on the usb charger states 5v, 500mA.

Also I'm noticing that flavors are a bit muted compared to using the same juice in a eGo cone atty. Anyone else finding the same? I'll probably just add a bit more flavor to my juice to compensate.

Other than that my initial impression is good. Still got lots of testing to do wrt how long cartos last etc

Thanks for all the great info folks! Just got my Echo yesterday from Cropduster. Started charging a battery at 230p, took it off charger around 1am and started vaping away. So far this is great, so glad I found this thread! Quick question on charging these batteries, does the led on the charger change color when battery is full? I threw the second battery on the charger at 1am and when I woke up at 1030a its still red. Im used to my 501 charger turning green when done. Thanks!

Mine didn't, it stayed red. The battery led was also lit the whole time it was charging and didn't turn off after 5 hours (650mah batt). I thought that was a bit strange so I took it off the charger and put it straight back on. It didn't light up again so I'm assuming it's charged. 5 hrs should be enough for a 650mah batt but I may be assuming incorrectly. I was under the impression that the batt led would turn off when fully charged.

The red led on end of battery goes off when fully charged on all four of mine. The led on the wall power supply is different on some of them. The first version it stayed red but on newer version will turn green when charged. It does take a long time to charge the battery but the battery stays charged twice as long so isn't a problem after your initial charge. I have two sets so I can always have at least two batteries charged so I can switch off flavors during the day. I get about 18 hours of vaping on one charge and it takes about 8-9 hours to recharge a 1300 mah battery.

You can use any wall power supply like the one for the ego but you need to use the usb charger that comes with it because it limits the charge rate to 150 mah which is required to charge these safely. The manufacture stated to Tony at cropduster that charging at a higher rate would damage the battery. I'm glad you finally got your Echo and hope you like it as much as I do.:2cool:

Well I ordered an Echo and the conversion kit for my ego batteries. I was really debatting over the Go Go or the Echo. I really liked the way the Go Go sounded but it seemed a little big for me and I don't really like the large carto in my mouth. The only thing I don't like about the Echo is that it is automatic. We shall see. I hope it works better then my ego t.

I think the 2nd generation automatic is one of the best features of the echo. You can buy different versions with a standard battery though. You can the echo-e cartos with your ego-t battery and they are similar to the Echo carto but don't hold as much juice, approximately 2.8 ml vs 3.5 on a new carto.

Thanks txtumbleweed. I thought it would be ok but just wanted to make 100% sure. Wouldn't want to mess up my new fav batt! Mine are black with blue leds and I got a 650mah and a 1300mah to try.

If anyone gets to the point they want to do a complete clean of the carto by removing the filler and dryburning the carto I learned a way to do that from speedjason. After removing the filler per Mohawkx method on Go-go thread simply blow into battery from led end with carto attached and observe coil while looking in a mirror. I had never heard of this method and didn't think you could dry burn an auto and be able to see the coil but this definately will work. I haven't got to that point yet and don't know if I ever will but I know many of you will:2cool:

The only LED that i see is on the wall charger it stays red, even after 11hr on the charger it was red and I had no idea if it was done or not.....

I'm talking about the big led on the end of the battery that lights when you take a draw. There is also a tiny led on bottom of usb charger but it is hard to see without sticking a mirror under it. It will turn from red to green when charged. I have no ideal why they stuck it on the bottom, maybe wall plugs are upside down in China. The easiest way to tell if it is charged is by the big led, it goes on when charging and off when charged.

Too many different types but just to add mine as I have both the 1300 and 650 - the chargers are the same for both kit types - the wall plug has a light that is red when charging and green when done. The usb plug that the battery plugs into stays red. The battery LED that lights up when you vape is on when charging and off when done. I have noticed some oddities in that the battery led will not light if the battery is only lightly used. The wall charger will turn green a little before the battery led goes off - I always wait for the LED to go out before it is "done". So - when I just usb charge, I use the LED on the battery as the 'done' indicator. Because the wall plug goes green before the battery LED goes off - I again wait for the battery LED to go out.

So - bottom line - if the battery LED is off - it's done.

OK, I got my Echo this afternoon just before I had to go out on my ice cream truck. So, I filled a cart, took one battery with me hoping that it had at least a 50% charge from the factory (it did) and went "to work". It worked fantastic! This is what I have been looking for. Simple, efficient, and each puff is consistent. Worked great in all aspects. Now, to stock up on some cappuccino and French Pipe.

I'm glad it worked good for you and it should be handy on the Ice Cream Truck!:2cool:

The echo cartos work with my KR808 batts, and my 808 cartos work fine with the echo batt. Either configuration does look a little silly though...

Yes, either config does look silly but I've found that I have to use 808-901 adaptors on some of my newer V4L batts. That was surprising. I'm just glad I had one laying around that I bought some time ago "just in case"!
