Speaking of auto batteries... I'm not exactly an expert on eGo's but I'm scratching my head a little here. I really like the eGo mega dual coil cartomizer but the manual battery is beginning to wear on my nerves. Can't it be used on an automatic (high capacity of course)?
Agreeing with the others. EMDCC makes your Echo batt stay till the cutoff if you vape more than a second or so.

I also totally forgot to (and right now too tired to detail it much) my findings on CigNot's auto eGo 650 batt (also available in 1000mAh). Don't get it. There's a post somewhere that I talked about it. It gets harder to draw on (to maintain the battery activation) as you draw. That means a constantly harder draw. It's weird, but I had my wisdom teeth removed and only used manuals for the first day. The second I used some autos near the end, Volcano (super mini 510), Magma (510), Volt, Echo, all are totally fine with light draws (which I HAD to do or else I might cause dry sockets, happily avoided). The eGo auto batt I had from CigNot however, wasn't. It would sometimes be a charm to use, but then kinda fade into it's weird harder to maintain draw. The airholes, unlike most autos, are in the side just under the cone (instead of on the bottom of the battery like most autos), so you can actually set it off to activate while just blowing on the side. That being said, it passed all shaking, flicking, noise tests just like the others. Only if you concentrated on that dot where the airhole was would you set the battery off accidentally. No problems in pocket or just out in the open at all. Maybe if it got really windy or something while you held it.

Long story short, don't get the one from CigNot. Vicki, however, was really great about exchanging it and sending prepaid postage to send the 2 I got back, though I had had it past the 14 day return/exchange policy (delivered already. I just needa drive to dad's to pick it up).

Though I know TotallyWicked has their own 1000mAh auto, I'm not sure I want that long a PV. I only use 650 Echos and that's my limit. If anyone else is willing to be the (thorough) guinea pig, let us know. =)

I lied. So much for not detailed. I don't want people buying what I don't think they'll enjoy.

Ciao! Goodnight =)

If the Echo DC is 1.7 ohm does that mean it will produce about the same heat as a 510 1.7 ohm (single coil) atty? The reason I ask is because the 1.7 atty runs a bit too hot for me with a 3.7v Riva, but it's not too bad on my Janty (lower v). So I'm thinking I might like it on the auto Echo, but I might not like the Echo-e version on my Riva.

The dual won't be as hot since it's actually running two 3.4Ω coils, so the heat generated is much cooler. You won't get that semi-scorched taste with these.

So...Both my Echo autos have died already after about a little more than a month of use.

It might be juice getting in them. I wasn't super good about wiping them off, but the stuff that gets down in the sides is nearly impossible to do anything about until it dries.

Not sure if this auto is worth it. Think I can pour some rubbing alcohol in there and maybe bring them back to life? No idea what to do.

If you have any 510 batteries laying around you can use this adapter for your echo auto carts:

510 to 808 adapter.

Here is an adapter for ego cones/echo-e carts for mods, ...etc.

510 to ego adapter.

SmokTek has these adapters for $3.95 right now.

I've used these adapters since I have several echo auto kits still and a good amount of echo auto carts laying around, and a ton of 510 gear. EGO's, Mega, and my main mod which is a Silver Bullet. Nice to be able to use the stuff with different combinations.

Here is a shot of what the Silver Bullet looks like with the adapter mentioned above. Lugged the heavy Silver Bullet up 4,800 vertical feet to a nice 11,000 foot peak in this pic.

Also, for those who have been using the new Echo dual coil cartomizers, how have they been holding up for the past few weeks? Similar life span to the standard echo carts? Also curious if there will be an Echo-E dual coil option. Been chomping at the bit to try these new carts out...

On a second side note, those of you not getting a good connection and are wanting to lift up the battery post, just take the battery (by itself) and hold it thread-end down (LED end up) and give it a good hammer-fist knock on a hard surface. Bam, post is flush with threading. Easy day.

Hey Darth, I want to thank you for this little jewel of a tip. Last Friday I was in a hotel with no tools and no spares. (poor planning, yes)

When I put my battery on the charger, it would not make contact. Therefor it would not charge. After a brief oh shi* moment, I remembered your tip. Bingo!

I used a slight variation on your theme. I laid a dry washcloth on the marble bathroom counter-top. Then I held the battery, threaded side down, and gave it a few good knocks on the washcloth.

Problem solved. Contact made. Battery charged. All was good.

Mega thanks Darth.

Y'all have a good Labor Day Weekend,

JJ :)

I received the Echo-E dual option with some juice about 2 weeks ago. It's been holding up just fine and vaped great. It had a little Mountain Vapor Logo on it so I knew it from all my regular echo-e cartos. Just yesterday the battery with the carto attached must have flipped out of my golf cart about the 15th hole. I miss it and can't wait to order more of these duals. Luckily I had another battery and carto to finish my game. I must admit I was sad about the loss of that cartomizer and battery but I did win $30 bucks in the golf game that should just cover the replacement. Hope everyone's holiday was good!
