I think I would try something else sounds like you are getting juice in the batteries. I've never had one of my cartos leak. Do you remove carto from the battery when refilling? I refill mine and let them set on a paper towell for a few minutes in case I overfilled and have never one leak after that.

Dumb question I am sure, so sorry! But, ok, I am living my echo so much. But I need to be able to test juice without using 3 ml each time. What is the recommendation for what to use? I would love to get something to use with my echo battery. But if something else works better pls let me know. I am willing to purchase something more within reason, not like $100, lol.
I am NOT good at dripping, btw. I got a special dripping atom and I can't do it without burning. I use it with an 808 batt and the thingy that makes them fit together, as the atom is 510. Sorry for using such dumb language, my brain is still asleep. I add this as dripping seems to be the cool way to try out juices but I stink at it.

standard 808 cartos are good for this. Kr808 horizontal use the same filler and coil the echos use but take less than a ml of juice. They taste about the same as they would with in the echos because of the filler. Every once in a while I get a KR8 that tastes funny but it's always the same funny taste. It does not make the cart unusable but I can identify it and know it won't be there in the taste of the echos. There is no substitute for direct dripping but you need a manual battery and need to get the coil nice and wet. You will flood it a couple of times getting the hang of it. If you really want to use this method, buy a cheap manual 808 so you know you won't kill it.

Can anyone tell me what's going on with the D&B folks. Their website D&B Gold - Home is down and I'm looking for anyone that has the new "stealth" sealed Echo batteries. I figured either D&B or Mountain Vapors would have them by now but nada. Please advise.

Unfortunately I think Bill at D&B was the only one with the stealth. He's had to close. You may be able to PM him to see if he has anything left.

That's really sad news. Bill always had the best pricing and service. What's up with the waning vendor interest in the Echo products. I count only 4 left of the 8 that were distributing it months ago.

It seems as though any time I discover a great product they either cancel it or shut it down. Example: TV - Firefly, Stingray, Wiseguy to name just a few. Restaurants - Big Boy, Chris & Pitts, etc. Grocery products - Oatmeal Pogens, Medgalla De Oro instant espresso, etc.

While I still think that the Echo is the best, most reliable overall personal vaporizer, there is only one Hangsen. I just hope they receive enough sales to continue improving an already great and reliable personal vaporizer.

Are you guys aware of this vendor? I ordered a charger from him yesterday. The charger has a small extension between the USB connector and the place to screw in the battery.

He's where I got my drip protected batteries. For those having issue, these might be the solution. I've talked to others who received unsealed from him.but Bill at NW has always answers any question promptly.

I actually like the airflow better on the unsealed and they work with 901s and adapters but that's a different story.

I'm as heavily invested in the Echo as I was in 808s so I fervently hope that production and improvement continue......don't know if I'm willing to look for another pv type in the near future.

I'm going to stop mentioning them so much in other threads unless someone specifically mentions large autos. Last week nearly all the vendors ran out. I'd hate to see what happens if Hangsen has to start pumping these out like egos. Sterling Vapor has them too but a little too pricey.

I was looking for the new sealed "stealth" batteries. None of the vendors you mentioned have them in stock. Perhaps this will change after the Chinese New Year.

I'll be the first to point this out. These new echo auto switches fire up when the airflow moves through the pin holes creating a vacuum. They no longer require airflow through the batteries like the old ones. You can completely block off the tip in any creative way you want to make your own stealth. All four of mine, both the drip resistant and open post autos work this way.
I don't know if the first echos were different, I've only has mine since November.

May not be able to make it look as nice as Bill's stealths but surely one of us can come up with something creative.

The Echos have always worked that way. I haven't seen any of the sealed ones or the ones without the LED on the end. I'm used to the the red light so it doesn't bother me.

I agree. I like the led. I wish I had a red one though but I'm stocked up for now. I just didn't know if folks realized they can cover the led if they wanted. The kr8 slim autos always need flow through the battery.

Has anyone had any luck using a tank on their Echos? I picked up two of these, but I'm having issues. They don't leak at all which is what I was worried about, but they're not firing correctly. If I draw for more than a second, my battery just stays on even though I'm not puffing on it until the Echo reaches it's cutoff point. Anybody know why or have a possible fix? They were pretty cheap, so it's not a huge loss if they're not compatible. They won't work at all on my Volt batteries, so maybe you can't use tanks with an auto? Color me confused.

yeah, Sarah. It's the flare at the end and the two vents. It just creates a suction that keeps the auto fired until cutoff. It's the cartomizers fault, not the tank. Not good. I have an xl KR8 horizontal that I've sanded the paint off. I'm going to punch a hole in it tonight and see if holds water (so to speak) and I'll follow up.

The Echo auto won't work very good with any of the LR cartos especially 1.5's. You could pick up a 808 ego type manual battery from Smoktek that will work good with them. 808-eGo-battery, 650-900mAh - manual
