seems that they are not so much on the endangered list as just simply overlooked in the world of fat bats. It's changing now. Even V4l has a huge 808 mod and 808 threaded tanks. Spaceballs spoke of the Igo or the Vgo but yeah. the battery is just the power. As long as it's not vaping at 3.4v, I'm happy with it. It's the 808 threaded carts and such I find superior. In addition to the echo kicking the crap out of the echo-e cart, I tried some of those 510 horizontals and they produce nice warm steam that contains modest flavor compared to the KR8 horizontals.

Only thing that seperates the echo battery in this world of confusing xGOs is it is automatic. And a dream to vape.

correction: the OMG mod at V4l is a 510 but that's not really important here, is it?

The echo carto doesn't fit properly on an iGo being as the iGo is made for an ego type 808 connection. You would be better off just getting a manual type kit.
Tony has the echo-e kits for 44.95 ECH0 1300 E-KIT BLACK - $44.95 : Cropduster901!, Home of the B-52

Smoktek has 808 ego type batteries in 650 or 900 mah.
808-eGo-battery, 650-900mAh - manual

Thanks for clarifying. Maybe I should practice my reading comprehension....or just read more than the first 9 words.

Quoted from nHaler "The Echo is the automatic version of the iGo - same cartomizer internally with a different connection."

Aw, balls. There must be an 808 one somewhere. I'm interested in picking up just an manual battery down the road that I can use with the Echo charger I already have. I'll have to search around some more. :)

SARABEE, I think maybe you are looking for a IGO.
It is manual, 808d threads, charges much faster than any echo and the hit will knock your socks ofF.
also it uses cartomizers like the echo but they hold less juice. you can use echo cartomizers on the IGO but their will be a 1/4" gap.
THEY ARE ONE AWESOME UNIT. AVAILABLE IN 650, 1100, AND 1300MAH.

that brings me to a question I had a while back. Old 808 charger 4.2v-150mah. Is this safe in an emergency or is it important to the battery that it overcharges past the 4.2v peak? I do notice the echo charger takes an extra half an hour or so to turn green even though the battery says it's good to go so I'm assuming it's taking that time to overcharge a little.

To BillB- I would like to say I am so sad that your health dictates the need to take a break from your shop. You have been an amazing friend, and doing buisness with you has been an extreem pleasure. I truely hope you will be back in action soon. I will be needing more 650 Stealths eventualy, but I at least undestand that you will still sell the HS Echo cartomizers, yes?

Every one I know here in Iowa, has heard of my vape sales man, BillB, and how I was directed to the HS Echo brand through this site, Bill and ALL the other incredible people here.

Those that have been to Bills site know of the badger hat, the many jokes about it.

My kids LOVE that picture. And also love the fact that I no longer smoke.

So here is to BillB, a fine friend that helped bring the totally awsome HS Echo to many an x-smokers doorstep.:toast:

IDK for sure but a good while ago there were caveats from the V2 community (such as it is) and the customers were told NOT to leave the batts in the charger like overnight because they would overcharge. Then V2 got with the program and bought new chargers that have a cutoff built into them so they will not overcharge. That's what I know about that.

I was speaking to only the physical aspect of the connection. The 808 charger and the echo battery are incompatible.

You mean the threads are pushed too far back in the charger? I have one the the threads are all the way to the end of the casing. It screws in. On another one it does not.

In addition to the echo kicking the crap out of the echo-e cart, I tried some of those 510 horizontals and they produce nice warm steam that contains modest flavor compared to the KR8 horizontals.

I read from time to time how one battery hits harder than another when in fact the difference is probably a volt limiter. Line up all the various reputable brands names of the same size, fresh off the charger with no volt limiter and no one would be able to tell the difference in a blind test.

About the only fault I can find with the automatic is the novice not being aware of the potential juice in the battery problems. Haven't tried one myself but if you're happy with them that's good enough for me. :)

Have tried the echo-e and didn't like it at any voltage but have been very pleased with the 808/901 DC echos. That along with the 901 regular atty and the LR bridgless 901 atty are my three top performing vapor units.

yep...it really can be kind of daunting trying to explain voltage and regulation when it comes to batteries and how folks should buy based on that instead of type or brand name. It is easier IMHO to go from a 510 battery to an 808/901 thread due to the adapter being much shorter profile (aka the madvapes shorty that only adds only 1mm length to a battery)

Again, you justify my often unheard voice. 808/910 just perform better as far as atty's and carts. One of these days I'll get to the bottom of it but nothing smoke tech or boge puts out in 510 compares to the same in a 808/910 version (example: the 2.0 901 by ST-WOW!) and the 510 version of the echo cart just does not compare to it's 808 brother.

Then again....it sort of makes sense....you never see a 510 slim style user step up to defend their choice of analog style like the almost cult like worshipers of the KR808d-1. probably a reason for it, no?
