I understand, but I would still like to try an atty and dripping on the echo-e manual battery that Bill has. I am ordering the adapter to use to dry burn my auto echo carts...but would like suggestions as to what atty to buy for it..
Placed my order for the 650mah chrome kit and some cartomizers. Hope they arrive by this Friday. Thanks again for the pic!

From what posters have said the echo-e will not work with LR attys so you would want a standard resistance or lower res HV. The Joye 510 std R is decent and never seems to have any of the nasties (WD40 taste) that some of the other knockoffs (Rivas) can have. They are primed with a fairly tasteless lubricant (maybe mineral oil). I blow them out then rinse them under warm water, blow the water out, do a short dry burn (not much to burn off when new), rinse again, blow out and re-prime with my eliquid and they are good to go. They seem to last a good time without getting clogged.
They are around 2.3 ohms so they will vape a lot hotter than an echomizer which ranges somewhere btwn 2.7 and 3.1 ohms. If you are looking for a close approximation to the echo you should look for attys in that range. Ikenvape has a 2.5 ohm listed under HV attys. They get very good reviews on their attys. You might want to try it, but I have no experience with it.
Also, you can use a 306 atty on a 510 connection. They have the exposed bridge and better taste and many prefer them for dripping. I have only tried 1 Joye std R 306 and I prefer the flavor, but it didn't last near as long as my std 510's (less than 3 weeks). Don't know if I just got a bad one or if that is typical. The std Joye 306 is about 2.5 ohms.
Many seem to like the Boge 510 cartos which hold about 1ml of liquid. The std R version is 2.9-3.1 ohms which should be similar to the echo. I have not tried these, though. Bauway makes 510 attys in the 2.6-3.0 ohm range but somebody complained that they are made by a different manufacturer now and have gone to crap. I have seen other attys in the same range as the echo but the manufacturer was not listed so I don't know who else makes them.

I wanted to come back and make a quick comment. I was having real problems with my Echo cartos. Loved the flavor and vapor for a day and then they would clog or taste really bad. I tried cleaning them in every way but they never really tasted the same. Never had a burnt taste or leaking. I was really upset because I loved them. Only being able to enjoy a carto for a day with that high a price was bothering me. I ended up getting a Reo mini that I love and bought a bunch of boge cartos (15 for $20) and they work great. I get usually 2 days on a think dark juice on the boge but the price is a lot less.
Anyway I had ordered some hummingbird nector from KBV that someone on here recomended. I didn't try it for awhile but on Sunday I pulled out my Echo and filled up a carto with HN (I ordered it for my Echo cartos) and guess what. A) HN tastes great, very clean and refreshing B) It is Friday and that carto is still perfect. I want to thank whoever on this thread mentioned it but also tell anyone that has problems not getting very many days out of the expensive Echo cartos. Really any carto would do well to have this juice.

i absolutely loved the HN on my echo carto. up to this point that juice has lasted by far the longest in my echo carto.
the HN is a crisp clean perfect summer vape, glad you liked it. i am also a bit disappointed to see the echo cartos last for 2 days on some other juices i have, its a bit spendy considering i can get the same through a boge. i think the type of juice you use in the echo carto is very critical to the number of ml's you can run through it. typically i get anywhere from 2 to 3 days from any given juice ((about 15 mls), i got 7 days out of the HN (35mls).

I recently put an Echo-E carto on my eGo batteries and have now stepped away from all the other 510 attys/cartos I had. I vape about 1-1.5 ml/day and find I can go two days on a 650mAh batt without touching anything. For me, it's about pleasurable vaping without maintenance. The Echo-E cartos have the smoothest draw, the most vapor production, and cleanest flavor of all the attys and cartos I've tried. No syringe either - so done with those. I want to vape, not tinker with my PV's. This has been a game-changer for me. Love them.
Not the charger. The center post on the threaded side of the battery. Be gentle. I use a tiny flat screwdriver to work the center post up higher. Go slow & easy in a circular pattern.
There are other methods such as a 510-510 extension, and MadVapes is currently working on a tiny shim, but it's not in stock yet.

Battery center-post (and carto center-post) adjustment has become a very popular topic lately in many different threads. It only takes a tiny mismatch (thousandths) to cause a connection problem.
With so many manufacturers of eGo style batteries, and all the new cartos coming out, this problem has become very common.

I just want to add, be careful not to twist that center post. The wire connected to it on the inside is very poorly soldered on and if the wire twists much t is likely to pop off.

Excellent point. This is true of batteries *and* cartos. I ruined a new Mega DC carto by twisting the center-post.
Yeah I think it was you who said you were getting several days with HN so thank you. It really is very nice and kinda addicting. I tried some other juice from KBV and didn't really like it but will be ordering more HN. I feel the same way about getting the the same or more days from a Boge carto with a better price. HN is all I will run out of my Echo. I am now on day 8 with the same carto. It is not the only thing I vape on so thats maybe 5 days continuous vape but I am very happy with that and it is still going perfect. Thanks again for the recommendation. You have saved me money and let me use my Echo again!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got a my first echo chrome 650 battery to try and I've got to say it makes a nice little pv. I love my 1300's for battery life but the 650 is a little easier to hold in my mouth for hands free vaping and really matches the carto well. I'm really liking the hard plastic 801 whistle tips with them too. If you haven't tried them with your Echo you are missing out. The only place I know that has them is Nhaler and you can get them 5 for 4.00. They are the tips off a 801 cartridge.

Just got my Echo today. One cart filled with green apple, the other with french toast. So far, so good. Coming off of an 808 (SmokeTip), this thing is a dream. Was getting frustrated playing the battery juggling act throughout the day. So much so that I was considering buying a pack of the nasties. The Echo might have kept me from falling off of the wagon. Only time will tell.
