The Echo Thread

Tinki - I find the flavour muted as well. It's good for the first hour or so but drops off after that. I also find the same thing with the throat hit. The vapour remains good though. I'm surprised more people haven't commented on this. I've gone back to dripping now although I do miss the convenience of the echo.

This unique problem only appers on horizontal coil cartos. QC at the carto factory may not be top notch and there appears to be some shrinkage of the filler at the bottom after a period of usage. Probably due to the heat from the coil. I've been using the same echo-e carto for over 3 weeks and within that time, I've pushed the filler down twice to restore flavor.

Thanks for this tip, mohawkx...All of a sudden I was getting that icky burnt taste, too, and pushing the filler down with a straw did the trick.

I just read the comments about the DC Echo cartos and, since that's been a few days ago, wasn't surprised that Mountain Vapor was out of them.

Does anyone else sell these yet or are they exclusive to MV?

Edit: Scratch the whole 'Mountain Vapor is out of DC cartos thing'..gotta learn to scroll down sometimes

I've read through this thread, and I'm still freaking out because I'm not settled on an answer. I want to try a fat-batt type set-up, but I don't know which one. The reason I'm posting here is because I'm interested in getting an Echo kit. Reason why is because it is an 808 connection, and I'm currently all about 808s at the moment.

My question is this - I'm looking for plumes of vapor. I don't know why, but I find it satisfying. I'm probably satisfied with everyday and day to day performance, but I want a battery that is still 808, but will also give me hookah-status (not REALLY, but similar) vapor. Will an Echo 1300 maH kit give me something like what I'm looking for? I want to screw around with vapor o rings and stuff when I exhale.

Maybe someone can answer this or give me other insights I might not be asking in this post. I know all day performance is great, but I like my mini-style fine, too. But I'd like to experiment, but not be bummed with something that I'll just find out to be unsatisfactory.

Keep in mind, please, that I'm not looking for crazy mods with variable voltages, and nonsense like that, or insane prices just for the occasional plumes of vapor.

Any tips? The Echo is my main interest, and I'm sorry if I screwed up and should have posted elsewhere - I'm just looking for Echo owner's advice.

Also, if you DO wind up recommending such, feel free to direct me as to where you think I should pick one up from.

I'd write more, but I'm pressed on time. Thank you all so very much for any and all help any of you would be able to offer. I very much appreciate it. Especially at a time where dropping sums of money can be stressful while I'm close to 3 months off of analogues.

Much love,
JeffyD

Hey there! I just got the echo 1300 today and love it! It does produce alot of vapor, easy draw, very easy to fill and maintain so far! I had a 510 before, so it won't work with this unless I get an adapter, I believe but honestly I don't care to mess with my old one! I bought mine from d and b gold for $47 and came with 5 cartos, 2 batts, charger, drip tip...great deal, I think! I'm a research freak and it took me a bit to finally decide on it and now I wish I would've bought it sooner!

Also, there are a couple video reviews I believe on this forum.

No, I'm comparing it to all of the previous Echo-E cartos I have used. Never used a regular Echo. This is probably carto number 10 for me. All previous Echo-E's I have used gave an excellent vape. This one is just way too tight.

All suggestions welcome. Hate to throw away a brand new one.

JJ

When you tighten your carto on the batt back it off slightly so it's not quite snug. I tried this on an echo-e that was getting tight and it really helped. I read that cartos in general (not just echos) can have this problem of not venting properly because there is only 2 very small slits on the inner pin where air can get through. This was the recommended solution. Let us know if it works.

The Echo puts out lots of vapor. I have lots of PV's and it is my favorite. Cropduster has the Echo 1300 for 44.95 and the 650 for 39.95. Echo Kits : Cropduster901!, Home of the B-52 Tony is a great guy to deal with too.

Thanks for the feedback. I was reading all about the Echo, and you were the one I was following to get the information I was seeking. I'm debating between vendors to order from at the moment, and the one you suggested is one of them, actually. Thanks for being such a help to me and my information gathering.

Another further question for anyone willing to answer - What is a DCE cart? And how is it related to Echo units.

Again, thanks to anyone with any more feedback, and/or answers they have to give me. You guys are great.

The DCE is is the new dual coil Echo carto. The only place you can get them right now is from MtnVapor and he also has the Echo Kits. He has a good deal if you buy 30 Ml of juice he will give you a free DCE. His custom juice is very good and the DCE is awesome.Mountain Vapor - High quality e-cigarettes, liquids and accessories.

That's the Dual Coil Cartomizer made for the Echo. It's brand new and will probably be available near Sept. 1. From everything I'm hearing, it's great!

I received my dual horiz coil Echo carto this afternoon and wanted to vape it awhile before I posted. They have just made a very good carto even better. I filled up both new cartos one with some Cinnayum and the other with Baconut using a syringe. I injected both with 3ml of juice and the new filler absorbed the juice really good and it only took about 30 seconds to fill them both with no overflow or juice out the bottom. I left the little plug in just in case it leaked but didn't. I probably could have got another 1/2 ml in if I wanted to let it set a few minutes but 3 ml is fine and I was anxious to try it out. lol They provide a very flavorful and smooth hit with lots of vapor. They don't crackle and pop like other duals or provide as hot of a hit. I've been alternating between the two for about twelve hours with no change except it seems to be even better if anything. It is really a good deal Dennis at MtnVapor is running on his custom juice, 12.00 for thirty ml and a free DCE with free shipping. In fact I think I'm going to order another one being as I like these so good. lol :2cool:http://www.mtnvapor.com/

Thanks for the information - I really appreciate it. Everything sounds great, but my budget for the month is shot. I'll have to wait until next month before I can spend any more money. Such is life when you're a pensioner. I'm anxious to try them, but I'm going to have to wait.

I know what ya mean the SS isn't going as far as it did but I don't have anyone to tell me no so as long as I have a CC I'll be okay. The only problem is now that I've quit smoking I'll probably live long enough to have to pay it off. lol

Thanks, I had already tried that. It did not help. But, it does bring up a helpful clue in the troubleshooting process...

At this point I think the vents (notches) in the skirt are too shallow. The carto has a very airy draw when disconnected from a battery. Time for Mr Dremel.

Thanks, JJ

FYI.....Just received this email from the makers of the Echo. Thought I would post it so there is no confusion.

It comes to our attention that an US tobacco company had already registered
ECHO as their trade mark. To avoid patent infringement, we decided to change
the name of our ECHO e-cigarette to be sold in the US markets to "HSECHO".
Your future orders will be produced under the new model name.So could you also change HSECHO ,not ECHO on your website ? thanks !

Is that in reference to Phillip Morris wanting to develop a pv or just another product of some sort registered/trademarked as Echo that they already have?

That will be a little confusing this late in the game but thanks for the heads up so we will know what is going on.

Hmmm...you can bet it they are using it for a pv, I won't buy it even if it offers me a flight to the space station...lol! They have gotten wayyyy too much of my money! GRRRR! Politics at its best :(

Am I right in assuming that you're talking about big tobacco getting into the PV game?
