Great, thanks. You still loving the dual coil Echo carto? Maybe someone who has gotten a DT from Mountain Vapor could jump in and add their two cents.

No prob. Yeah I am still really liking the dual coil. It really adds to the flavor. I plan on ordering some as soon as they are available.

The drip tips that we have fit the ECHO carto's perfect.

Dennis, I have to point this out because there is some confusion here.

Your website says "901/510 Delrin Drip Tips". Is this a typo? It is my understanding that Echo's require an 801 Drip Tip. If I had known your drip tips fit Echos I would have added a few to my last order.

Not a big deal but you may be missing some business here.

Can some of our Echo gurus chime in here?

Yep, it was a mistake. Funny thing is that I say 801 drip tip in the ECHO description, but then have it listed wrong for the actual product. Anyway, it's fixed now. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

Roger that. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't having a blond moment. Which does occasionally happen.

For the newbies, be aware that there can be slight variations in cartos and drip tips. Some users have bought 801 drip tips elsewhere and reported that they did not fit Echos.

We just had a difference of opinions you might say that escalated into some rude comments. It had nothing to do with the quality of his products or prices. I just won't be having anymore dealings with him myself.

I got one of those situations myself :) It's all good, there's always other people willing to take your money right?

For the sake of sharing experience, I did go ahead and hit the 4 notches with a Dremel. As I suspected, the draw did not improve. Still way too stiff. Also a bit harsh, but that's probably from the stiff draw. I think I'll move on and lay this particular Echo-E carto to rest.

Not the end of the world. We're gonna get a dud now & then. Now I'm one carto closer to trying the two DCE-E's sitting here on my desk. Haven't touched them yet because I have about 5 half-used cartos already in the rotation.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me.

JJ

When you take a drag, the air flows from the outside through the 4 slits in the echo cartomizer, then through the two tiny battery holes (just under the threading, then up along the batter post, and then through the two notches on the cartomizer post, and finally up the straw into your mouth.
So partially unscrewing the cartomizer would accomplish nothing except eliminating the first step only. The air still has to go through the tiny holes under the battery's threading. I have found that these holes get gunked up quite easily and a safety pin will quickly take care of that. If you need further clarification I can begrudgingly whip up a mspaint illustration.

On a side note, that's also a great easy way to lift the battery post up if you intend to remove it for cleaning the greenish gunk from around that too. Just be super gently because the wire will come loose (just happened to me a few days ago, and i knew to be careful of that! It sucks).

On a second side note, those of you not getting a good connection and are wanting to lift up the battery post, just take the battery (by itself) and hold it thread-end down (LED end up) and give it a good hammer-fist knock on a hard surface. Bam, post is flush with threading. Easy day.

The DC SHEcho Cartos are really kicking some .... and running far superior to the older original ones. I have been running mine now for close to 2 weeks and they both are still running like the day I filled them and that's just really super guys.

I however feel there is an issue with the Auto Echo Batts, Tony was kind enough to send me a new one because one of mine died but now my second one has died. I feel that over the course of only a couple of months that these Batts being Auto that a very small amount of liquid gets into them over time and then the electronics in them get wet and the Batt starts to fail (same issue with every Auto Batt I have ever owned) It would be nice if Hangson made the Manual version now for these since this is happening. I'm going to be dissecting 2 of my dead Echo Batts today to make sure this is in fact the problem but I'm laying steep odds it is.

Is anyone else having or had this issue ?

My fifth echo battery died of lethal liquid injection just a few days ago.. That plus the cartos giving me daily headaches... It's time to move on

I have four echo batteries and I've never had a problem with any of them in three months. I always remove the carto when refilling and I've never got any juice in mine. The carto doesn't leak if you let it set a couple of minutes after filling to let any overflow drain out.:2cool:

I fill mine 20 drops at a times, rolling them vigorously in my hands between, until liquid comes out the bottom, let them sit anout 5-10 minutes, blow them out about 3 blows, and dab up any fluid on the bottom with a napkin. Also I've gotten into the habit of carrying my echo in my pocket carto-down/LED up. When I change cartos/flavors through the day I have to dab up the fluid that's accumulated on the battery post and in the crevice between it and the threads. Sooo... What step am I missing?

I don't know but if I was having that problem I would have already switched. I fill mine with a syringe and on a new carto get a full 3 ml of juice without any leaking out and if I fill it full I get about 3.4 ml before any juice comes out. That is the only time I have ever seen any juice on the threads. When I'm out and about I carry mine in a lanyard with the battery down and haven't had any leakage that I'm aware of. I don't carry or switch cartos often, usually when I switch batteries and then I usually refill at that time. Like I said I have four batteries and haven't had any failures. I don't use them exclusively being as I have other setups I use also. I've only heard of one other user that had problems with juice in the battery and he topped off the carto often so I thought he probably left the carto on the battery but I don't know if that was the case or not.

I haven't had any auto batteries die (Egos and Echos) yet. And most of them are automatics except for my two Leo's. I've stuck to recommended cartomizers and clean wipe with each fill. Also wipe down the threads before charging. If they die it will probably be because they have reached the charge limit life like any other battery. And yes, I vape alot!

Also, has anyone looked to see if the new Echo DC cartos are cleanable like the originals? i.e. Can your remove the filler to clean?

Oh man, that really bites. Perhaps you should switch to a manual? Sometimes you just have to admit to yourself that a particular product is just not for you. I've been using the ECHO-e's I bought from Bill for quite a while and they are still rockin'. The price was the lowest I've seen anywhere else and I don't have to worry about any juice mishaps. :)

Dennis said they are, but I don't know because they haven't been out long enough. I think I'm definately going to have to give them a try. So far people are saying that they are lasting longer than the non DC cartos.
