Thanks for the info on the charger Charlz.
Docliv- I havent heard of the new charging addaptor. Where did you get this? I have always understood that one needs to use the addaptor that comes with them which is verry slow but keeps the batts working a realy long time. Thanks for any info, sounds nice to have.
All new 300mA USB adapters along with sealed batteries from Hangsen are now standard equipment with the Echo.
I just looked at mine and it reads:
USB CHARGER
USB input 5V DC 500 mA
Output 5V DC 150 mA
And I got this on Christmas eve.
Unfortunately my efforts were a total failure. On the Echo-E the slotted ring on the battery end is glued in and easily removed. Had hoped the slotted vent ring on the regular Echo was separate, not so. When I tapped the working parts further into the shell I found the vent ring was part of it and a little larger than the tube. The consequence was that it wedged in the shell with no reasonable way of getting it out.
My next effort will be to cut the shell 3/16" in from the threaded end to get things out, cleaned and re-inserted into a somewhat shorter Echo shell.
Is your battery the new sealed kind? I thought it was my sealed battery that didn't like adapters. maybe it's an echo thing? If it's sealed, try asking Rob if he has any unsealed.
I know the ce2s & 3s come with 808 threads too.
Your current stock should work with the echo-e which is a manual 510 version.
