Also, it's just the fact that the flared bottom sits flush with the battery that creates the suction effect. I'm pretty sure some kind of thread extender or something like this would help 901 Battery to 808-D Atomizer adapter , even if it ain't as pretty as we would like.

Aw, that sucks... Get it, suction?

That's too bad because I love the way tanks look when they're flush with the battery. I actually had the same problem with a CE2 type clearomizer I was using, but it wasn't as constant as it is with the tank.

I've tried different LR cartos with adapter and without a tank that act the same way. It seems anything below 2 ohms or so triggers something in the battery to cause it to stay on.

Oh.......that explains it. A standard kr8 won't fit in these. I'm lazy now from dinner. When I get motivated, I'll go punch my xl. It's having the same issues as a lot of kr8s do in that the draw is a little tight, but I want to see if it works without leaking

Hmm... If it's the low ohms that's an issue, I have tons of little 808 cartos I could punch. The only thing is, I'm not sure this tank would work without a flanged carto. I also don't think there are 808 flanged cartos available yet to purchase separately. Maybe V4L will offer different ohms cartos when they start selling extras... I doubt it, but it would be nice.

Hello all. Just received my echo a couple hours ago. This is my first PV and I wanted to make sure I was ordering everything I needed so I read through all 98 pages of this thread to get as much info as possible. Ordered a syringe for filling, thin liquid so everything would wick properly, got the proper drip tips for the cartos and everything. I also ordered some Boge 510 cartos to try out juice on since he was out of stock on the KR808's and got an adapter for them as well. Problem now is that the adapter sits flush with the battery so it won't activate when I draw. Didn't see anything about that so far in the thread, but I may have missed it. Did I just get the wrong adapters? They are for using 501 on 901/808 batts. I got everything from Rob at SmokTek and I am SUPER pleased with my first journey into the world of vaping so far aside from this little issue. Anyone have any ideas? Should I cut notches into the batt side of the adapter or something? Thanks in advance for all the help!

There are new ones coming out that have a center post on the battery with no hole in the middle. This is to make it more drip proof. Trouble is, I've been having issues with adapters and such on the new threads. Check the post to see if there is a hole. If not, you may just have to pull up the post a little. Just a wiggle will do with a paperclip. Sometimes the center post is not making contact with the post on the carts or adapters.

look for Kr808 cartomizers. I think you may be stuck with 808 stuff. I'm just figuring it out and I've asked a supplier to look into it. The great news is you will love the echo carts. Talk to Rob about it too. Maybe he has some of the unsealed echos left. I know that Northwest Vapors does. The only ones he has with the new battery post are the 1100 mah but ask the supplier to look first if you want cross compatibility. This is what we have to put up with from China.

Greenhouse one is from China.

I have a Lavatube VV but you can get them from a U.S dealer for 70.00. I think they are sold out now though. N-haler has them for 80.00 shipped. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...roduces-n-vari-variable-voltage-tube-mod.html

I bought one for $70 also but it was a bare unit. Was it the full kit for $70 in the states?

FWIW Green House has some very reasonable shipping rates, my last order was shipped for $4 for several 5 packs of atties.

That unit from nhaler delivered for $85 is very attractive, though I could handle the 10 day wait to get one delivered for about $70

I also just bought the tube from Volcano being as I had everything else. Yes it is a US company that had the kit for 70 shipped with a coupon code but it looks like that isn't the case now. They are 79.00 now. THE CYLON VV MOD

Alright, thanks for the advice. If I figure something out I will let everyone know. I sure do love the echomizers so far though, granted they are all I have tried and it's only been like 4 hours but still...

Congratulations on choosing the Echo. I've been using one for nine months and they have worked very good for me too. I have and use several different PV's but the Echo remains right up there with the best and definately the best auto. It is hard to beat the Echo for looks, ease of use and performance.:2cool::vapor:

Received my echo kit today with one 1300 mAh and one 650mAh. I charged up the 650, and fired up the grill, and when the batt was full I filled up a cart. With the exception of one hour for making fresh pico de gallo and devouring the fruits of my labor (mesquite smoked chicken fajitas!) I vaped that thing until about thirty minutes ago. That's about 5 hours of chain vaping!

I have to say WOW! I wasn't prepared for this. I've been toking on a SD Keyring and xl 808 for the past month, and I've really enjoyed all my flavors at 18mg. As soon as I took a drag of 18mg RY4 from the echo I my mouth was overwhelmed with intense flavor, and good Lord what a throat hit! I'm extremely impressed!

So far I'm more than pleased with this PV. Unfortunately I'm going to have to buy some lower mg liquids, maybe non-nic (my 12mg was even too powerful). That's probably a good thing!

Good to see new Echo users coming on board. So many vapers just won't try the big auto batteries because of the problems with autos in the old days (two years ago). The new generation autos like the Echo are so much better than the first ones. I just enjoy the vape more with an auto battery and the 3.4 ml echo carto is a perfect match for it.:2cool::vapor:
