Good rule of thumb: When the LED on your Echo battery goes out... your battery is charged. The lights on the adapter/charger are not always reliable and vary quite a bit.

ok, tried the above , battery still not working.
cart disconnected and sucking on the battery no led, but when blowing nothing happens but after stopping the led lights and eventually blinks off. obviously the battery has power, but is the airflow switch broke ? or possibly still needs to dry out ?
recommend putting battery on the radiator to help dry out ? use a hair dryer? ( will have to buy one tho) or just buy another spare battery?
Not really sure on this, but i have seen it work on ipods and read it once on the forum. Try putting it in a bag full of dry uncooked rice and seal the bag for a day or two. In the mean time, I personally would order a new battery as well.

For anyone who wants to try cleaning out their Echo cartos, I can thoroughly recommend using Mohawkx's excellent method for Go-Go cartos which is described in wonderful detail here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ego-type-models/188388-how-clean-rebuild-gogo-cartomizer.html - I would add that it really is well worth carrying out a dry-burn while you have the filler removed in order to remove the deposits which build up on the coil (only those with a non-auto battery will be able to do this), just don't forget to rinse the carto again afterwards to remove any ash.
I wasn't too sure it would work because Go-Go cartos are straight rather than tapered but have recently tried it and it works fine, just make sure to roll the outer filler back up again fairly tightly. It will fluff back out again once it is back in place. I don't possess an ultrasonic cleaner so have just skipped this and washed out the cartos under hot running water.
I have noticed that flavour in a newly-cleaned carto seems a little muted at first but this seems to recover after it has been used for a while, but to be honest also find that brand new Echos seem better after a day or so of use once they have kind of 'broken in'.

Actually sounds like the switch might be broken and not just gummed. But it could be really gummed now.
At this point, I'd actually submerge the battery entirely in isopropyl for about 20 minutes, working it around. Try to ensure some alcohol actually gets into the battery this time. Take it out and let it dry for while, led up. Keep an eye on the led and follow up with the rice suggestion. If it works, it's a backup battery.
its sort of working after soaking in isopropyl, tried with a carto attached, led light up, but little vapor, also when carto disconnected, watching the led coming on and off, think I'll let dry some more, and possible soaking one more time.

It's gonna take some time to dry if the iso bath works. Al least overnight. +1 on the rice drying technique. Too much of a soak may dissolve important connections<IDK. But we're talking about taking the paddles to a dying battery at this point. It worked once for me on the only auto battery I managed to kill.
So my wife asks me if there is anything I would like as a special treat from the tax refund. I told her it's for her and the kids. My wonderfull wife informs me that the family had a discussion and felt that dad deserved something special for a change. WOW! Totaly cool kids and wife. I owe them all I am. So I get to thinking, and wonderfull wifey says "Go all out. Get one of those verry volume moddles type thingies." Permission to get a vv mod! Which ever one my heart desires. Then it hits me. If thats what I realy wanted, I just would have saved up longer(much, much longer) and got one. What I love and need is the ECHO.
My wife was actualy upset, and was telling me that the family was serious about the idea, when my daughter said to her, "Dady loves his electric cigars mom, maybe he doesn't like buttons."

Well, it looks like dad is going to stock up on Echo stuff a bit, and maybe get some extra DIY supplies.

I've been looking more and more at the Janty pipe attachment. Getting more and more into pipe flavored e-juice. I've said it before and I'll say it again. This PV just begs to be tooted on like a fine cigar. It's what makes this thing come alive!

I showed my non-vaping friend my Echo and my 510's last night. At first he went straight for the cig sized 510s, Then after an hour and the battery died he decided he would treat it like a cig and smoke it less often, after his third 510 battery died he wanted to try the echo, which i had been vaping constantly the whole time. He immediately liked it better but asked "Is there any way I can make this into a pipe?" Why yes there is my friend. I left him with 2 of my 510s and a charger, but I suspect his order will be in soon.
When i first started with my blu's I had dreamed up a foam or rubber ashtray with a big battery pack with a usb slot inside so that you could vape a cig sized pass through where ever you go and have it feel more like a cig with a place to set it down. My need for that is gone with echo, but i still might craft one someday for fun. The older people in my life really seem to like ashing their e cigs too. I spent a long time looking for a rubber ash try so they could tap it without "clinking" but never found one.
confused:Hey Bill did you get that battery I sent back to you? I'm kind of mad here, bought this kit from you both the batteries broke, and yes I was very careful about letting the juice sit in the cart for a while to make sure it didn't run into the battery. Now I'm back to the old analogs.
Please let me know what you can do to fix this, I still have 10+ cartomizers for this thing and cant use them!
I am still enjoying my Kuwako and use it 100% of the time around the house (also I never misplace my ecig with it). I am not 100% impressed with Janty's new neo line but this Kuwako works so well with the echo I will probably buy a second one, wood would be nice but this rubber plastic feel reminds me of he back of a barnes and nobles nook (also comfortable to hold). Maybe you could talk one of the wood workers into making your wood bowl.
Like you said puffing on it like a pipe or cigar really works on the Echo Auto so it is a good fit.

There have been a couple of less than impressed views of the neo. I almost bought the Kuwako after posting but didn't pull the trigger. I bet it will happen before the end of the week, though. Even bent a rubber tip to see if I could get a good curve. I did.
I am a big pipe smoker owning more then 80 pipes. I do not get the time to smoke them like I use to. This would be neat. I didn't know the janty attachment would work. Looks like it is something I am going to try..... Now just need to buy some of the pipe tobacco flavored juices I have seen.
Has anyone had any issues with a sore throat after smoking the Echo? I have noticed the Echo vapor is somewhat sharp when I inhale. I have to puff on the echo and slowly inhale the vapor. I can only do small draws on the Echo. I have the same problem with my 801 but it much harder to vape with.
It might have something to do with my juice. I think it is mainly PG and high nicotine. I have vaped with it for 2 or 3 weeks. Just not as much. Also I vaped more with the Echo after I got it then I have with the njoy I normally carry. Maybe I just vaped to much.
Also I just switched from days to night and am not drinking enough water. I am to new to all of this to know what it what...

It's a post I repeat a lot. The echomizers do smooth out after a day or so. I had a couple posts in the beginning about a sore throat. I lowered both my PG and Nic. I'm comfortable at about 30%vg and 16mg. The wide air flow tube does a great job at delivering warm flavorful vapor. But I think a fresh cart can spit juice a little. It's an open path from the coil to your throat.
Vermillion River's Kentucky blends are great. So are Highbrow Vapors. Vermillion River's classic blend is a bit ashy and peppery but a few drops in Highbrows juice is a very good thing because I found their french pipe to be a bit too cherry. Highbrow's exotic blend also worked well to cut down the cherry sweet. Also tried Dekang's french pipe. Very old school and mild. Now they have all muddled together to one hell of a pipe vape. I like the 80/20 blend of Dekang juices from Value Vapor.
Biotene mouth spray is also a gift from heaven for easing dry mouth. water! water! water!

That method won't work for Dual Coil carts as part of the coils and all the wires are on the outside of the tube at 1/3 and 2/3 of the distance from the bottom to the top.
