I prefer the singles to the double coil and horizontal coils. Doesn't really matter who. I've got good and bad from all the Kr8 vendors.

I flush them with a cheapo version of the carto cleaning kit Cartomizer/Atomizer Cleaning Kit - With 10ml Control Syringe, Luer-lock compatible w/cleaning tubes and instructions

There's a method of taking the filler out and cleaning and reinserting it that so far has been unsuccessful for me. Mainly because you need a cocktail straw that slips over the center tube and I haven't found one wide enough.

This is what I use for cleaning. Not as nice, but works oralsyringe.jpgYou can find it in the baby care section near the pharmacy at walmart for a couple bucks. I cut the end off a carto comdom and insert it over the white adapter thingy and tape it in place with e-tape. An echomizer slips into the other end and you just flush a few times with near boiling water and follow with Devil's Springs Vodka. It's the highest proof I've found in NY.
Nasty stuff. Made in Jersey. Might as well be isopropyl.

Yes, I am now realizing I need to cut back on the PG. Too bad because I just ordered several pretty high ones. I was still trying to replicate the th of an analog by using high pg and nic. Now that I've been vaping a couple of months I am ready to cut down on both of them. Oh well.......guess I have to go order more juice! I don't even want to guess how much I've spent so far!

Thanks so much for all your help! And now to be really annoying....can I ask a couple more ?'s:

How do you rinse the carto? What cartos do you prefer? There are so many choices and it is overwhelming to figure out.

This SmokTek cleaning kit or something similar is about as good as it gets. I use boiling water but others have their own methods.

I haven't found anything better than the 808/901 DC Echo Cart but I use a VV box mod at 4.5 to 5v to get it's potential.

With a 3.7v battery I had the best luck with Boge LR single coil cartos, and the best thing is they are dirt cheap.

http://crystalclearvaping.3dcartstores.com/ has a good selection of Boge LR single coil cartos at a decent price. Have also heard good things about their "C.C.V. Mega LR 1.7 (THE RESURRECTOR)" single coil carto. They also offer free shipping.

I use higher VG than Charlz and prefer the dual coils as well, in fact VG never really affected though some darker juices (Vaperite cake battery for instance) does a good job of fast killing any cartomizer. I always syringe fill been doing it for over a year now I tried top dripping and syring filling a clear Ego mega dual coil once and its pretty obvious that the bottom filler material never really got really wet even when juice was pooling on top of the filler and the juice was high PG...

I learned a lot from that clear cartomizer.

Maybe a dumb question but can you use isopropyl to flush the cartos? I have the smoketek kit in the mail, I have a lot of iso but no vodka at the moment.

I haven't cleaned any of my six original cartos yet but one that I just refilled has a hard draw. So I'm guessing its gonna be about time for all of them. I only plan on using two or three at a time after I clean them.

Are you referring the the Echo carto Charlz? If so it is so very easy to just pop the guts out and work on them in the open, even easier to pop them back in, no straw needed. :)

Instruction a few pages back if missed them.

Cropduster and vapor kings order just came in. First impression of my first 1300 auto echo batt was wow that big! But now doesn't seem so big. Also its a "sealed" one. Looks real funny to me kinda like seeing an outie belly button when you were expecting an innie. Great size for my lanyard. Little long on my pipe. Got an adapter too. Doesn't work on the new sealed one but works great on the unsealed 650. And now all my cartos have pretty colored aluminum drip tips! I think they collect less condensation then the derlin but haven't used em long enough to really tell. I've been just using a qtip to plung the tips every so often, like a cannon. With the 1300 and 2 650s and three chargers, I shouldn't be stuck waiting for the next battery anymore! I found I can really wear down the 650s fast with a DC carto.

Last note: one of my two DCs in service cause the new battery to fire till cut off, annoying since I was hoping to use it primarily for DCs, but am thinking I'm going to stick with the SCs from now on. --I know the adapter and cut off things aren't anything new on here, just giving my observations, I love new things!

Much better looking on the chrome and with a longer PV. Was going to wait until Northwest vapors got more in. The 1100 seems to be the best fit for me. But the kuwako doesn't look so huge on a larger battery so I may be buying a 1300 soon. In the mean time, I made a curved mouthpiece by inserting a paperclip with the right bend into a soft whistle tip and boiling it for about five minutes. Fits perfectly but it does magnify the condensation effect.
I'm going to have to have one by St. Patty's day.

The button placement looks a little awkward on the manual too. Maybe if it was off to the side it could be pressed with the thumb while it is being cupped? Trying to imagine it on my 1100 manual. Can't see how I would push the button and cup the bowl. Is it awkward if it's not being held by the bowl?

Not losing my PV in a sea of black and silver parts is definitely another plus.
lol I know the feeling! It is still a good buy at 15.00. I know it is the principle of the thing that bothers you as it would me. It is the only decently priced item Janty sells but I think they sold it that cheap thinking everyone would buy their 29.00 650 auto.
