Yes. I went back to the explanation offered in the link. Looking more closely at the unit I realized that was how to take it apart. "Insisting" that the tip comes is sort of my code phrase for, "You're not doing something correctly so take another look." LOL Thanks.

I didn't realize the screwed on at first either. I accidently unscrewed the first time and didn't realize it. When I refilled I just pushed it on and I think that is why it leaked. It took me a couple of times before I realized it screwed on. lol Those threads are so small I didn't even see them. Of course I'm blind in one eye and can't see out of the other!

:) Thanks for the support, fellas. As an IT professional I've had my "OMG what's wrong now." moments. My biggest problem solving shortcoming has always been me going for the very worst scenario instead of trying the simplest solution.

I have one of the clearos filled now and so far no leaks so maybe it will work out afterall.

both the tiny pin hole of the old style and the drip protected ones seem to be able to take a drop or two. My old one (unprotected) just 5 minutes ago got scary for a moment. I wiped it off and gave it a suck on the battery and it seems a bit of something came out. I dunked the thread end, quick dunks, in alcohol and continued to suck and it suddenly is performing like brand new. I hadn't noticed a degrade until I just did this. They certainly are troopers.

--funny that you just posted this, cause I just came to post my experience.

Where are the "drip protected" Echos from? I've been using an unprotected 1300 all day with the iTurbo and have not had a problem. Am I going to leave it attached overnight? NO! But so far no problems.

Edit: If I fill it over the .8ml mark it leaks.

My unprotected ones have suffered a little juice too, from my one abnormal drippy carto...its really strange, no matter how long it drains or gets blown out it will drip after a few minutes of vaping. Ive been using it for about 5 minutes a day trying to get it to be less full i guess.

I have thought about the alcohol dunks myself. I have trouble with gunk between the post and the threads. But what was your degrade symptoms? Or did the degrade just show up from the juice spill? It sounds like when you dunked it you brought the batt back to a level of performance superior to the way it was before the juice spill that caused you to dunk it? Is that what you mean.

the 1300 black i got from cropduster 2 weeks ago was drip protected

And the vapor girl said hers were drip protected as well.

Best to ask a supplier before ordering. Some still probably have both.

When you guys are saying drip protected do you mean the center hole on the batt post is just smaller? If that is what you mean both the 650 and 1300's from Cropduster have the smaller hole.

Well, on my 650 kit from crop duster, i can see a nice hole in the middle, and on my 1300 battery from cropduster i can barely see a hole with my naked eye. Im not even sure i know exactly where the hole is. Thats the one im considering to be drip protected.

If you are trying to get excess juice out you can just unscrew the drip tip and pour out the juice.

Oops thought you were talking avout the iT.

I guess I have never seen one then. The hole on mine is about half the size of the original I have.

These are the kinds I have. I'm guessing I don't have an original larger holed one. The one closer to the window is the 650 and the other one is the 1300

Oh and I was talking about a drippy Echomizer. No juice will shake out of it but it will start to gurgle and leak after it gets going. Could be the juice. Its not thick but its dark.

Thanks, nope I don't have any of those. Is the airflow still good? Has to be a hole there somewhere.

Yep....you have an unprotected and a protected. The airholes are on the side of the post now where you can't see them. You may notice the protected one has a tighter draw. Mine did at first but have gotten so much use I can't tell the difference.

It's only vaping the ITurbo that makes them leak. If adjusting the rubber piece and not screwing the tip back down too tight does not help......IDK. It worked for me. The original Vision Stardust (same thing as eTurbo) had a straight metal tube from the top of the rubber instead of the cone shape it has now.

We all know from whistle tips that it's tough to squeeze that much vapor through a tiny hole or you get condensation. I first tried removing it but that didn't work. I then swapped it for a metal tube off the 510 version and I get much less condensation. I alerted Victoria about this. Maybe they will do something.

My experiences are my own though.....I'm just reporting stuff I did and why I think it makes sense.

Interesting he just told me his were still unsealed, but looking at your pics I'm confused lol

Could you do me a huge favor? Could you clock your 1300 mAh and see where it cuts off? He told me 8-10 seconds, but the wisdom seems to be 5 seconds.

1st airflow on the sealed is good, I don't notice a difference really between the two. Perhaps the unsealed is a little airy sounding...but the strength of draw does not change for me. The only issue i have with it is adapters for 510 stuff, wont fire, and one of my DC's stays on till cut off on it. But i have decided that these are the ones I will reccomend to friends and family as they work great with the SC echomizers and seem harder to kill by juice mishap.

2nd the iturbos... I lift up the silicone by placing an 18 gauge needle inside the metal cone and pull it up with a lever action. Then put the drip tip on and screw it down, should I not be screwing it down all the way? Even when it leaks its not leaking like its broken it just gets too much juice at once and after blowing it out it wont leak for another 10-20 minutes. Ill try only one twist on the screw in and see what happens.

Hits the cut off right when the timer turns to 6. So I guess five would make sense. I had to take the carto off and just suck on the battery as i can only get to 4/12 seconds drawing from a carto because the airflow is so much more than a little carto.

when i got my 650 unsealed kit i emailed him and asked if his were sealed and unsealed and he said all he had was unsealed then. When i got my 1300 battery I did not email or ask and was pleasantly surprised to get a sealed. Perfectly happy with it though. Perhaps his kits are one way and his batteries the other?

Maybe, but I didn't specify whether I was looking for kits or batts. Very confusing! lol

EDIT: And thank you so much for doing that man, I really appreciate it!

EDIT2: That may explain it actually. Maybe the new batts in rotation aren't in the kits yet, so they are sealed. But that d oesn't explain what he said about the 8-10 second cut off time unless this is super recent. When did you get that 1300 mAh? How long is it btw?

I get about 6 sec on a slow draw but if I just keep puffing shorter puffs I can keep it going over 15 without it cutting off and it would have gone longer. Usually I take a couple of short puffs and then a long one and it never cuts off on me.
