It was about a year ago I acquired a couple of Echos (a 650mAh and a 130mAh). I was using The Go-go at the time and really enjoyed Go-go performance in an auto batt.

But …

Unlike the Go-go cartomizers the Echo cartos didn’t have the same longevity. And the charge time was waaaaaay longer than I was used to. And the Big Blue Light that could be seen from space kind of bugged me. We were moving to Canada and I didn’t know what e-cig supplies would be available so I spent my disposable income on supplies for the e-cigs that had already proven themselves as my go-to PV’s. I bought Go-carts, a ton of e-liquid, and a bunch of cartomizers for The Elite.

Months pass.

I wanted to revisit Echo-land so I hauled out my Echo batts and charged ‘em up. While I was waiting I cleaned up the entire house, alphabetized our pantry, And read a couple of books. Big ones. Stephen King sized.

All charged up and ready to go so I screwed on an Elite carto onto the Echo batt and … It Was Wonderful. A vaping match made in heaven. Easy draw, great flavor, plenty of TH and vapor. And Elite cartos are as durable and long lasting as the Go-carts. And as an extra bonus I think Elite cartos edge out the Go-go in terms of TH.

So … if anyone out there has become somewhat disenchanted with their Echo … slap an Elite cartomizer on it.

Hi Tex,

As the license plate sez: Beautiful British Columbia. It is. The only drawback to living up here is that e-cig deliveries are not what I was accustomed to. 2 - 3 days pre-move ... 10 -13 days post move. Though my last shipment from E Cig Arsenal arrived in 7 days. Not Lightening fast but quite an improvement.

I haven't been posting that much because ... everything works so well. I'm a pretty contented vaper these days. With a Go-go to 808 adapter I've found that I enjoy Elite cartos on the Go-go more than the Go-carts. The Elite edges the Go-go out in the TH dept.

Lately I've discovered Dual Coil LR cartos for my Leo.

Really impressive.

Made me buy a couple of Leo batts. The Brown Marble Leo is my current fave.

I am very happy with the Echo/Elite combo. Sometimes I just want a good vape ... automatically.

What size of drip tip do those elite cartos take?

The ones that come with 'em. Here's a picture I got from Don's Vapingguides.com

The Elite's a very good PV. I always have one handy.

The Brown marble Leo is nice looking and I almost got one about a year ago but never did. The Leo and Elite are two I never tried although I have heard good things about them. I have enough PV's to last me two life times so I won't be getting any more for a while so I say. ha Here is my latest one and after I get a Kick for it that will be it for this year. I know this isn't an Echo but being as we are talking about other PV's I'll show you a pic.

Great looking PV there Tex. What is it? A Go-go encased in wood? And what's a kick?

When the Brown Marble Leo arrived I knew I had crossed a line somewhere. I was no longer an e-cig guy ... now I was buying stuff that that elevated the PV into something akin to "Pipe" status. In fact I thought about getting an e-pipe (I see you already took that step.) but my disposable income had already been disposed of.

That was one of the reasons I wanted to resuscitate The Echo (see? I can stay on topic kind of). What can I do with what I've got? And I'm glad the Echo/Elite combo worked out so well. And I've got other great e-cigs to occupy myself with during charge times.

Life is Good.

Woah, that's the first I heard of a 420ma charger for the echo, I second LULU'S question and also wonder if its truly an echo? Is it auto 808/901?

I have the 420ma charger but not from echo kit, it's from the VaporSmiths' 'vGo' auto 1000mAh - 808 thread (seems like they have a problem with it, they pulled it out from the store now and based on their forum, they will do recall and replace all sold batts - seem something to do with the sealed battery post problem and 5 seconds cut-off)

Thanks for the recommendation; will definitely check them out.
Curious - what's your lifespan with a typical Elite carto? And do you clean them? If so, how?

Properly modded fluxomizers are flawless for me. And totally travel friendly. Im a med student and keep them in my pockets, and after thrashing about all day, takin the coat off, etx I don't leak a drop

Iturbos and the IKV vision (the latter with an adaptor) are a close 3rd and 2nd respectively, but more fussy for sure and more prone to leaks. They travel with me as well, but less often.

I like dripping but only do it rarely, and not on the echo.

I've used Elite cartos for weeks. The one I'm using right now is on its 10th day. Other flavors/VG could gunk up the coil faster than my All Tobacco-All The Time PG flavors though. Your mileage might vary. For cleaning ... I just flush 'em out. If I'm feeling ambitious I'll use an ultrasonic cleaner. I used to let 'em air dry and now I put 'em on a cookie sheet and bake 'em at 200 for about an hour.

Since they're miniature (2 mls how miniature is that?) Go carts I assume the cleaning/rebuilding routine mohawkx came up with would work just as well.

They're darn near indestructible.

I've come back full circle and am using silicone sealant for the echo rebuild. Sometimes the air tube has to come off or the silicone that's there has to be cleaned up as too much was used. I got the DAP kind which I know is food safe. All silicone should be fine but this one came up repeatedly in my searching. The best part is sometimes the tube need to sit higher or there's no way to keep it off the coil and you can make a base for it to sit on.
Now I just need a source for the air tubes that isn't wholesale china by the hundreds of feet.

NW Vapors restocked with 'new style' Echos. With notes:

This is the automatic battery for the Echo e cig. This uses the standard 808D threads and comes in Black, Chrome, or Stainless Steel. This is the NEW Echo battery and does not work with the old Echo charger.

This battery has a single LED near the end of it and requires the new Echo charger. The new Echo charger output is 5v at 300mA while the old charger is 5v 150mA.

Looks like we can't escape the sealed single LED Echos now.
