I'll try to clear it up a bit. The eGo and Riva 510s are batteries with a 510 connection. To drip you need a 510 atomizer. You can tailpipe it but, you'll probably want a 510 drip tip too. The eGo-T is just an eGo with a tank atomizer and a tank. You can take the tank atomizer off, put a 510 atomizer on and drip with it too. You can also put a tank atomizer and tank on a Riva and use it just like an eGo-T. I forget what PWM (Power Wave Modulated...maybe) stands for but, it means that the eGos are limited to putting out at most around 3.4 volts. I've seen conflicting stuff on the Rivas but, I think the new ones aren't limited and supposedly can go to 3.7 volts.

Mickey...would it be a problem to ask you to go to their website and tell me exactly what I should order to have all that I need to be able to do what I am looking to do with the Riva? I am so darn confused it is ridiculous! Soups to nuts....anything I will need just list it. Their sit is not very user friendly to me.

My opinion ( take with a cow lick of salt )

Just get a starter kit for the Riva.. and get some juice

IN my humble opinion, don’t buy anything else yet.... in a couple of weeks you will know a whole lot more about what you want to try out later.

I do agree that if you are going in this direction you would probably do better ( and cheaper ) wtih a Riva than an eGo

( make sure you hit the 20% off button in the upper left hand corner )

E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings

What is happening here is that folks ( me too ) are trying to impart to you what they learned over weeks and months of trying stuff out, but some of us came to different conclusions as to what we wanted after the starter kit.

My advice is get the starter kit, use it for a couple of weeks, then... you will know a lot more about what you might want to try next.

OK, so what you're saying is I can buy an Ego kit, and I can buy the tank things separately and turn the Ego into an Ego-T? I hope that's what you're saying >.< The set up of the Ego T seems like it would be really convenient... But I'd be scared to get a whole kit when so many people have such different views on it... definite love/hate issue with these... no middle ground... but I'd love to be able to get a tank and try it out, that way if I don't like it, I can just take the tank off and have a regular Ego, which I have heard only very good things about... :D

Is that what you're saying?? >.<

I'll post links once I'm sure what you are after. I know you want to drip. I think you've said you want a tank system. If you do, there are the A and B tanks. I have used the A. It wasn't really for me and I don't use the tank much nowadays. That's a personal opinion. Lots of people love them. As far as I can tell, the Bs are pretty much the same thing just a bigger tank. One thing I failed to mention and this also bothers those that are new to this. You'll probably find that you are doing business with more than one site. Most of them are outstanding to work with though.

Is there anything I missed you'd like? Cartomizers etc.

You are awesome Mickey!!! I would like to drip for juice testing purposes. I wouldn't mind using a tank and I would like to choice of also using the cartomizers. Better battery and juice holding capacity than what I have know. Great TH and Vapor are important to me as well. BUT like I said... I went back to their site and they are all out of stock on the RIVA's.

ADD ON: Also will I need syringes or pippettes of any kind please let me know this as well. I have well over 30 juices at home still haven't tried 1/4 of them. They are all 80/20.

The V4L is an 808 which means you can put a 901 atomizer on it and drip on that. However, if you have automatic batteries, you stand a chance of overfilling and having juice get into the battery. That'll kill the battery. The manual batteries don't have this problem.

On the go-go, you have two choices. Cigeasy now has an adapter you can use to adapt the go-go to an 808. It's on the go-go page on their site. The adapter will also work with the 901 atomizer. The other option is to pull the stuffing out of a go-go carto and drip on the coil. I'm guessing you'll be tailpiping, if you do that. Understand that I've never seen a carto you can get away with pulling the stuffing out of. I'm just telling you what go-go owners have said.

Yes, you can use the gocarts as drip attys. Just pull the filler out and drip. The gocarts with the horizontal coil are turning out to be as stout as an M-1 Abrahms Tank. I just did a comprehensive how to on reconditioning a well used gocart with pictures. It's on the last page of the Gogo User's guide. you might want to take a look. It should clear up misconceptions that some have.

WOW you are right... LOL

I didn’t expect that... they do have the "Cartomizer one" but not the standard kits. Some folks love cartomizers… I have never tired them

Color me embarrassed, not that I am affiliated with them... I am not.

I bought a eGo ( which you can get in a LOT of places, but from what I have read I have been recommending the Riva.

so second choice... get an eGo ( it is what I actually have )

but still I would not buy a whole lot of extras ( get juice, you do need juice ) right off the bat... get one, try it.. and then see what you might want later.

Thanks Astronomer....I have TONS of juices so I am good in that department. Is there another place I can get the RIVA? So many are pointing me to the RIVA and now I think that may be my best bet.

I googled Riva e-cig and got a whole lot of places that sell them, but none that I am personaly familiar with ( but I am a newbie too )

I would go with the 510 version myself... but that is just me as it is more standard.

Probably just wait till they stock again. But you could go at it by buying 2 RIVA 510 bats (~$12), buying a 3 pack of eGo-T (type A) atomiziers(~$37), a 5 pack of Type A carts(~$6), a RIVA 510 USB charger (~$6) and a USB Mians charger(~$6). You will also need juice. This approach will not allow for dripping unless you get other type atomiziers.

EVCigs are having a closeout sale on the Riva starter kits with 1100mAh batts and 2 atomizers with charger. the price is 69.95. You pick pink or white and the price goes down to 59.95 you enter the discount code of "Vape15%" and the price goes down to 50.00. This is a great price for 1100mah batteries, charger, 2 attys. The 1100s are a true 3.7v output and give a nicer vape than the riva 750s. They also throw in two bottles of juice. It really is a great deal for what you get. I ordered a kit and just reordered another kit at that price. Here is the link

Mickeyrat - I think PWM is pulsed width modulation. My understanding is that perhaps till November or so of last year the RIVA had PWM very similar to the Joye products. But that changed and now the RIVA's are straight 3.7V devices. Considerable higher voltage right off charger than eGo bats. My readings are 4.2v unloaded for RIVA off the charger and 3.8v loaded at 2.5 ohms. For eGo, 3.4v and 3.22v unloaded and loaded. Difference is noticeable.
