Love the easy way to fill the Erl, but wish you could rebuild it easily without having to empty the tank.

I've rebuilt my Erl twice this week without emptying the tank. Although it wasn't designed to be done this way, so it's touchy, I was successful my first time without spilling a drop and round two was easy peasy.

I'm a noob with only the erl, one a viking rda, and some clearos so don't have a lot to compare. I don't have anything negative to say about the squape "lets try that again" but I can tell you with the price tag that came with the Erl and a couple extras my expectations were very high. This RTA just reeks of quality, and it has exceeded every one of my expectations. If squape really does get that magic formula right good on them for improving their product, if they hit a home run I'll certainly consider it down the road, but for me the Erl's where its at. Worth every penny; can't go wrong with the elf queen. So rare to find a product today that truly exceeds your expectations, sad really.

Yup!

Seems like a no brainer!

However, the Erlkonigin does only come stock with a clear (glass?) tank, no stainless steel tank included. and if you do get the stainless steel tank, there seems to be no way to view how much juice remains in your tank. I've never liked solid stainless steel tanks... I don't personally want to have to open up my tank, just to see how much juice is remaining, but that's my personal preference....

It also only has a cheap, delrin drip tip, whereas the Squape R comes with a stainless steel drip tip, with very nice engravings as well!

Oh... and the air flow control?

I've read numerous posts from Erl owners, saying they've simply removed the air flow ring on the bottom (which, by the way, can only be controlled by removing the tank from your mech), implying that there ins't enough air for their particular taste without removing the air flow ring completely, and making it wide open... the Squape R comes with an air flow control with ball bearing, which, while similar to the Nautilus, does allow changing of airflow without removing the tank from your device, as well as having holes from .9 to 3.1mm in size... not sure how large the largest air hole for the Erl is....

Squape has ematal deck, which is non-conductive. Owners of the original Squape say that this makes building the deck very easy... no need to worry about shorts. Again, I'm not sure if the Erl has a non-conductive deck or not... this could be a feature they both share.

It also has three different decks, for different types of builds. It is more money, but it's an option.

Stock Erl is 21mm, I believe. Most devices are 22mm... again, you can purchase a replacement tank to make it fit your tube mod, but it's an additional cost. Some people (myself included) don't care that much if there's a small over or underhang between tank and tube mod, but some people do object.

Oh... and when you want or need to rebuild, not sure, but can you rebuild the Erl without having to remove all of your remaining juice? If you do need to remove it, how do you remove it without making a mess? Syringe, or is there another way?

Being able to simply remove the base from the Squape, set the top aside with all of your remaining juice still in it, and either rewick, or rebuild your coil, then simply screw the tank back on without the muss and fuss of emptying it is a big advantage, in my opinion. Again, I'm not sure if the Erl can also do this, perhaps it can.

The Erlkonigin looks to be amazing, but somehow, spending that kind of money, and then having to spend additional money to get a stainless steel tank, or a stainless steel drip tip kind of bothers me.....

Just saying, they both look great, but they both have their pluses and minuses.....

Well that's true, I agree both have merits and both can be argued. It's nice to have these choices I just wish they'd merge the two somehow. On the Erlkonigin: The delrin mouthpiece it comes with is by no means cheap...and the tank that comes with the Erl is not glass it's copolymer(plastic) and see thru so no problems seeing the juice but if you want the stainless it will cost you and, true, then you will not be able to see the juice.

The Air Flow Control on the Erl is precise...to take it off would fully open the air flow(most air in)...I've never done or needed to do that.

Just wanted to clear a few mis-statements about the Erlkonigin.

Enjoy the choices available now and in the future.:D

Might as well add the Ruzgar to that list. All three seem very similar.
- Dirk

Ruzgar had no AFC and less capacity than the Squape R and the Erl, unfortunately. I was stoked about it till I found out. It also cost about just as much, despite its lack of features. I'd pass on it :/

The Rüzgar is not even in the same class as the KFL+, let alone these other Two.

It's over-priced and badly machined.

Nothing to recommend it besides the (rather small) shrouded glass tank.

IMO. YMMV.

Then I'll wait for it to be cloned and give it a shot.

Hey, I wish you luck with that. I have nothing against clones. I look forward to them, the clones are sure to bring the original prices down, eventually, eh. Keep buying those clones so I can get my originals cheaper please.:toast:

I'm very happy the Squape R is being released today. I have the original & liked it a lot. I started having problems getting the wick set correctly, was getting either dry hits or flooding, so set it aside weeks ago. Then started watching the Squape R reviews. What an eye opener. Without realizing it I was inserting the coil too high. Guess I just got too lazy in my builds. I pulled out my original Squape yesterday and built it out again making sure to get the coil as low as I could deep into the channel. Tons of difference. Every hit perfect. Now I'm wondering if I really want to buy the Squape 'R'. I don't think I will this round since my V1 is working so well. And if I did buy one I would want one of the colors which will not be released until Aug anyway.

I am surprised by all the trouble folks are having with filling the Squape. The Rose by Eden Mods fills with the same approach. Both are very easy for me to fill. VERY EASY. I just set the tip of the e-juice bottle, skinny or fat tip, up against the threads and allow the juice to flow down the side into the tank. Never had a problem of any kind. Is it the Russian or Russian 91% that has that ball bearing fill port next to the air intake hole. Now that is a mother to fill.

I have had my Erlkönigin ( 'BOB' ) for about a week. A+ on all levels to my 'Erl'. A+++ even. Light weight, super efficient (vapes down to the last drop without dry hits), brilliant design for refilling & no flooding or dry hits of any kind, in my experience.

We have come a long way in the five years since I started vaping and gave up the analogs. A LONG WAY. So it is with great joy I am reasing about nit~picking over airflow, filling, juice capacity and the rest. Great joy over what we put up with in the early days.

Rant Warning: What the hell is wrong with Stattqualm, they seem to repeatedly make just enough Squape R/Squape stock to leave 95 percent of the community/demand without anything? I cannot stand the constant lack of production. They did the same thing with the original and then supposedly went into R&D mode for a few months and then did the same thing again...10 minutes worth of stock, if that, and I guess the community waits another couple of months for the colors. Did none of their research tell them that they should maybe ramp up production? Or maybe their intent is to create such demand so they can ramp up the price? I don't know maybe it's me....RANT OVUH.

Okay...had to get that out of my system....better now.

Hope all enjoy their Squapes....me....I'm all set.

Peace and Vape On!

And the Squape R is still available at VapeRev: Vaperev Shop - Squape R - Stattqualm - Rebuildables

Not sure where all this talk of being sold out came from...only some of the accessories are sold out.

The site showed them sold out at 11:05am PT / 2:05 ET when they were said to go on sale at 11:00am PT maybe they didn't put them up yet or maybe they fixed the site I dunno

Good luck getting the drip tips lol they just never sent mine last time I ordered. Also sent me a nemesis that I needed to shave down the the inside to put a battery in broke within a month along with a kayfun clone that is so badly machined it pisses out liquid. To top it off took took me 1.5 months to get. I'd rather buy authentic Or know which clone company is making it, not worth it for me buying from them when half of the items will be thrown in the garbage or used for parts lol. Good luck tho! Lol
