I don't understand the fasttech shipping at all ... I live in Florida, and it seems like most items (not including batteries) take about 3 weeks to get to me.

Now, my son in Japan sent me a small package that came to me via USPS. It took about 5-6 days to get it.

China is not that much farther from me than Japan ... so why the big difference in shipping time? ... They both go via the airlines

free shipping

That really don't explain it at all ... Both the FastTech package from China and my son's package from Japan [both] go via the airlines to the United States. Then go via USPS ground transportation to my house in Florida after clearing US Customs.

In all reality, the shipping time should be pretty close for both of them ... but it is not.

My question is: Where is the 2 week delay happening at if both packages ship out at the same time, and both are using the same modes of transportation (airlines across the pond, and ground within the US)

It just don't make any sense

all or most small packages travel via airplane. the price determines the priority by which they travel. the fact that your package is the first to arrive in singapore does not mean it will be the first to get shipped, and so on.

Ok ... So, the FastTech package leaves China to Singapore via the airlines. Then sets for maybe 2 weeks (low priority airmail) in Singapore before leaving on the airlines to the US?

My son's package more than likely goes direct from Tokyo to the US via the airlines, then via USPS ground to my house .... No real delay enroute

Too bad these FastTech packages can't just leave Hong Kong direct to the US instead of going way down to Singapore first (then just setting there for an unspecified amount of time).

its not just the route. is probably caused also by all kind of delays due to the low priority package as you said. low priority packages have to wait for free room to be available and so on. is just the nature of things. for poor people things usually move very slowly. you get the idea

Thanks for the help, but I have 2 rules I live by. Number 1 for stuff I need in daily life: If Walmart don't have it, Then I don't need it. Number 2 is for vaping: If FT don't have it .............So i rarely search for products on google any longer. An exception is my DIY flavors. I really don't know why FT doesnt get into the flavoring market for Hangsen flavors.

So do all the items you but ship at one time? I have an order and all the things but one say they are ready to ship. The last item says it will ship 2/14/14 which is today. This is my first order so i have no idea what to expect here. All the items had said when i placed the order that they would ship in no less than two days. That was 2/7/14. I am good and dont NEED the items i am just wondering.

I have a similar order, placed on 2/7 which still hasn't shipped too. The status is "Waiting to be packaged" - the ship date listed says the 11th LOL

It's ok, I knew it would be slow. I paid half the price on Fasttech that I would have paid in town. What I got was a protank II and a mini pro tank II, so that I don't have to worry about breaking plastic tanks... in fact, the juice I want to vape appears to need quite a long steeping/aging anyway.

The difference is in which shipper U choose...If you are in the USA and have no prohibited items (ego batts, liquids, knives, lithiym batts etc) in your orders, then USPS epacket via China Post is the fastest...I also live in Florida, and its always 10-14 days to my door..and japan is a lot closer to China than Florida, so never expect 5-6days..that is VERY unual...It sometimes takes 4-5 days from Massachusetts to Florida, nevermind Japan..

BTW 3 weeks is about normal for most Shippers from China..

Currently FT is experiencing a RESTOCKING and WAITING FOR PACKAGING Issue for various reasons...suppliers are late delivering items...FT warehouse was closed for 2 days this week for annual maintenance...backlogs from CNY orders wiping out the previous in stock items...etc....but U will get your orders, just a lil later than expected....and U can always opena ticket and split your order at no extra cost if their product ETA is exceeded..

From FT FAQ's...

FastTech ships products and orders based on their factory's manufacturing and quality test schedules.

As soon as an order is placed, a scheduled ship date appears in your order. This shipping date matches FastTech's advertised stock status displayed on product pages at the time the order is placed. FastTech strives to ship all orders on or before this date.

Statistically, over 90% of all orders are shipped prior to the scheduled ship date.

Occasionally items may be unavailable to ship on the scheduled ship date. This is typically due to factories not meeting their production commitments. When this occurs, FastTech shows a restocking badge besides the affected product.

Restocking products typically take an extra 1 to 5 days to ship. The exact duration however, depends on the factory and the product itself. Please contact support and we'll be able to provide you with information specific to your order

Well, what I said was: "Now, my son in Japan sent me a small package that came to me via USPS. It took about 5-6 days to get it.

China is not that much farther from me than Japan ... so why the big difference in shipping time? ... They both go via the airlines"

Has anyone seen the new batteries added to the FT stock? Vtc4s from Sony
I'm interested in the new Samsung 32 amp batteries as well as the newly listed LGs
I ordered 4 Sony VTC4's today, my first battery order since the shipping ban took place last fall. Fingers are crossed. The other new batteries are interesting but I'll wait for some reviews, I already own a pair of the Sony's and they totally kick .....

I received some FT mail today:
$10.52 Fatty V3 Style Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping After drilling the 5 deck airholes out to 1mm and adding a silicone insulator to the inside positive plate to eliminate the negative post screw shorting out (if you have one you know what I mean), it's a fantastic dripper. Added some sewing thread under the aiflow control to keep it from spinning around loosely. That seems like a lot of modifying when I read back over this...

Also received $11.05 4-32mm Titanized High Speed Steel Drill Bit at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping It's big and heavy! Finally something that's supposed to smell like machine oil. :D

And one of these $5.66 NF-662 3W 3-Mode 160-Lumen White Light Zooming Headlamp - 3*AAA at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping This will make crawling around under the house much easier. I would want brighter for anything outdoors, but this will do the job I need it for, and under $6. The zoom is OK but unnecessary, and the tilt/hinge angle adjustment is stiffer than the complaints in the reviews.
