I've been looking at the King for quite some time - the stainless steel though - so that might be an option.

EDIT: just read your review. Reverse threaded locking ring is definitely a plus.

I just got it today and I really am impressed with this switch. My old KING clone locks up on me quite a bit. I tried switch magnets and the button would unscrew itself and fall apart. Very frustrating, but such a hard hitting mod with low voltage drop I continued to use it.

i used gasoline to get rid of the metallic taste but it ruined the orings. wouldnt recommend that to everyone but if you've seen what else I tried it was the only thing that worked. (hcigar)

i had a kayfun that i used kanthal in,,took it apart and cleaned it but left the wick in,built it the next day and it had the funniest copper-ish taste !!

tore it apart to look at the coil,the coil has rusted and i didn't notice that when i put it back together


i gotta wonder just how many people are aware that kanthal will and does rust ?!?!??!

Nichrome is typically 80% nickel and 20% chromium and is resistant to oxidation.

I got it and love it. I did have to drill out the air hole. Something was stuck in there. But it's compatable with all the PMMA spare parts on ft and vapes awesomely for me with a 1.7ohm micro coil at a low wattage. So I can hook it up to my MVP2 no problems or kick it on a mech. I think Maggie has a couple or one of them also. You'll like it man. Good buy.

I suppose you were generalizing to my post. I am fairly familiar with my Devices and their construction.
My Kayfuns, Ithakas and Genesis Tanks are all SS
I also know for a fact All my Kanger tanks are Chromed Brass

You were clear. I was looking at my RSST 28ga. Kanthal coil - used, Cleaned and stored several times, but has never tried to rust. That is why I asked where you are getting your wire. Maybe you are being unknowingly duped.
I stopped buying pieces from venders for this very reason and only purchase Temco spools now. Trustworthy and Much Cheaper than vender purchases.

btw, 30A seems overkill for a 5A limit, i guess it depends on the battery curve tho. I'll probably go with 2 Panasonic PFs but with a dna20 if i ever start cutting the wood
