fasttech working Saturday, my black stingray x I ordered on the 3rd Sept has finally shipped today, now the stalking of the tracking begins
It could've very well been misclassified in their system as "batteries" too, sending up red flags. If it's an older item that they don't sell very often, there's a chance that it might've been overlooked when they were fixing stuff after the snafu. Maybe you should contact them to check, and maybe they'll be so thankful that you pointed it out that they'd fix it, and resend your order.I've noticed that as well, the only reason I am wondering about the shipment is that an order shipped two days after this one came today, and the order shipped a day before this one got delivered here two days ago. The whole battery snafu got me hoping that it didn't get to the China shipping area and they said no, it can't be air-shipped because it is batteries (it is not batteries, but they may have just looked at the shipment order that said battery box????) that's all I can think. I hope not. I hope it is just a matter of it got on a slower plane. LOL
I just wanted to explain again, it isn't about fasttech's shipping. They've been great with all of the orders I've placed and got them out either same day or next day all the time except for one order that I placed knowing it wasn't in stock. I eventually cancelled that order and chose something else, and they shipped that replacement order immediately. This was about potential trouble in shipping due to the name of the item.

Included batteries in mixed order placed on July 24; returned by Philippines Post. Split batteries into new, separate order and placed on August 5 (i.e. same day FT received PP return). Batteries finally left from Hong Kong on August 31. It is now September 21 and USPS shows only "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" (i.e. they're still not in the US).
That would be 79 days from original order or 47 from the reorder. Have I set a new record for SlowTech? And, if so, is there a prize? Maybe the batteries exploded causing the ship to sink in the Pacific? ;(
How about 146 days. There are 42 posts going back and forth on my ticket with FT. Battery order went through Malaysia Post and disappeared. Promises broken and lies told for four months and still no refund or credit.
Low and behold, you must be my lucky charm. FT finally told me the package was lost and are giving me a gift certificate credit.
Port Of Los Angeles Fire Burns Dock And Prompts Evacuation
A major fire broke out at the Port of Los Angeles on Monday night, burning roughly 150 feet of dock in the Wilmington neighborhood, threatening a nearby warehouse and causing the evacuation of two terminals.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said via Twitter that 150 LAFD firefighters were on the scene, along with firefighters from nearby Long Beach. The agency tweeted that it "continues to attack flames by air, land, and sea" and that the APL and NYK terminals have been evacuated due to smoke.
Ships were moved out of harm's way and the fire was contained late Monday night. The Los Angeles Times reports that while the warehouse appears to have been spared, the dock beneath it had been burned.
