fast tech says in its FAQ that it labels all packages as gifts with a low cash value.

This being said, if Customs does decide to inspect your package, it is within its rights to re-evaluate the value of the package contents. Just sayin'.

This must be something new, because my order was listed exactly as I purchased it. I wonder if they got complaints from International customers and implemented a change. Hmmm... curious!

Ok, for me this was the last straw.

I recieved this email today from fasttech support regarding my missing item:

Hi Arnie Horton,

Sorry about this. It must have been neglect from our warehouse.

Would you mind us sending a free replacement 1 sku1348000 with your next order to save shipping cost if possible?

Thanks for your understanding.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

This was my response:

Thank you for understanding and acknowledging your mistake.
I do not have any plans to buy anything else from fasttech for right now.
I would very much appreciate it if you would send me the battery which I
have payed for
or else issue a refund on my credit card.
I think it is bad business to force a customer to make another
purchase just so you can save on shipping costs to send out something that
should have been included in my order in the first place.
This is not good and makes me very angry.

Thank you. Please hurry.

Ye gods!! I can appreciate that international shipping is not cheap, but come on! Not only should they send out my missing item, but they should throw in a gift as well! What sort of nonsense is this?

They didn't say they wouldn't send it. They asked if they could wait for your next shipment to save shipping.
Maybe it's because I'm a business but I often make that offer to companies I deal with.

FT's bottom line is pretty thin. I can't blame them for asking. Especially not when you have people who are making multiple orders a week.

I have a gut feeling Fasttech are going too jack up prices.

I might have been very active on this thread but I am no FT fanboy, they have sent all my orders perfectly at a dirt cheap price so I am very happy to use them almost exclusively now, however, for me these are business transactions, if they raise the prices and I can get the same service elsewhere cheaper I will buy from there instead.

FT are making low margins and aiming for bulk sales to make their profits, if they lose focus on the price then they will lose a lot of the volume they sell. I don't see why they would deliberately do that, Walmart wouldn't suddenly charge Macy's prices and hope for a few customers each day.

Just reiterate that you won't be making any ecig purchases for a while and ask them to send it separately. As the other reply said, they haven't refused to send it, they just asked if you would let them save themselves some shipping cost.

@ Griff, not too bad,3 weeks,im a little worried 3 inch 5 dollar buck knife will get sent too the crusher,i ordered in a separate order just in case.

I bought a Damascus Steel Folding Knife, very similar to this one and it came from Pakistan. I had no issues at all and the blade was a good 3 inches as well.

The last straw was them acknowledging their mistake and then asking you if you happen to be making another order so they can send it with that instead of having to pay shipping again?

They aren't forcing you to make a purchase...they are asking you if you are so they can send it with that, which is SOP for fasttech.

Looked my number up on hong Kong's tracking site and it said it left HK. Anyone know what's taking so long for it to update? Feel like it should've been in Cali by now.

The online tracking (at least for USPS) is a joke sometimes. My last order from Fasttech, it got to the "Left San Francisco" point and stuck there for almost a week. Worriedly checking it every day, I'm almost freaking out - then the next entry on the tracking web page said "delivered" and I walked out and got it out of the mail box.

My very first order from Fasttech was two ego batteries. When they arrived, neither would hold a charge. Opened a ticket, had to send it to Florida, etc. Took six weeks to get the replacements (I had to email them twice) and when they arrived, one of the two was DOA. (I just threw it away, to heck with it.) Since then I've ordered probably 10 egos and a bunch of other stuff - never a problem. But my first order was almost my last order.

They'd have lost my business there. I'm perfectly willing to accept that a high volume, small order company will have issues since they're not going to be opening and testing everything they send out. On the other hand, between the time involved and their sending me something defective to replace the defective thing they sent first, I'd avoid them.

I've been one of the lucky ones, though. I've only ordered from them a couple of times, but every one has taken about a week and a half to arrive and besides that one battery has been perfect.

The only package I have floating around still from Fastech is from 5/18/2013. The total order was $9.94. The packaging is labeled as "Electronic Parts" with a value of 43 HKD (5.54 USD). I don't see anywhere on it declaring it as a gift.

For those of you recording ship times (I live in Florida, USA):
Placed - Shipped - Delivered
05/14/13 - 05/15/13 - 05/25/13 (9 business day shipping)
05/16/13 - 05/18/13 - 05/29/13 (9 business day shipping)
07/27/13 - 07/30/13 - Waiting
07/31/13 - Waiting - Waiting

Hey if you got a better hardware supplier, go with them. I just reordered another Innokin SVD, icore 4 charger and 4 more Panasonic 18650 batteries. The quality, price, and service are unsurpassed in today's market. 9 days till it is placed at my doorstep, the package was in perfect shape, the products were in pristine condition and not one DOA, yeah, not one complaint about anything! Well other than quit making me give you my money Fasttech!!!!!

Seriously, they could start mailing me dead cats with my orders for all I care. A missing item or a broken item here are there and a possibility of some customs shenanigans is no where near enough to match their selection and prices. It's like, I've paid 200 dollars for things I would have had to pay thousands for, there's not much that can happen thats going to make me say "I'm done with fasttech." I don't know about the rest of you, but I would probably still be using a ego battery and a protank if I wasn't getting the prices I was getting on fasttech.

I agree with the above, they have been very responsive to any questions although it may take a little while because of the time difference. I think it was good business practice to offer to send with the next order. Heck I have had that happen several times with local us vendors and very reputable vendors which I think is fine and if I don't agree I just tell them I am not planning on making another order anytime soon, I think putting demands on them after they admit their mistake and offer suggestions is not the best way to handle it but just my two cents. As others have said, they did not say they would not send without you making another order just offered it up as a suggestion. I think the response given was a little uncalled for but that is me. When I order form another country I order knowing that things take time and there are barriers that may be experienced.

If I want something fast I don't order form FT. If I can wait I will definitely give them an order.
