I got the basic SVD (body only) from FT and I'm quite happy with it ... here's a pic if it helps:

I'm a noob to mech mods. Protank or a drip ato? Anything I need to order with the rebuildable atos? If I'm going with a v3 or itaste svd.

Is the mod itself decent or does it feel cheap? How's the threading? I'm looking to order my first mech mod from there and I'm iffy about spending over $15 from a Chinese company.

Lots of folks here including myself have gotten the SVD, it's a quality device. My personal preference is the MVP, but that's just me. The MVP doesn't have a wattage setting, it is volts only. I just like the size and shape of it and the fact that one charge lasts me a full 18 hour day of chain vaping. It looks clunky, but to me it's a lot better shape, doesn't fall over all the time, fits in the pocket better, doesnt roll around, etc... I keep my RDA on my SVD because it's so clumsy and long... it stays strictly on my desk in the holder otherwise it would be falling over constantly and putting dents in my desk from all the sharp edges.

I get assaulted every time I say this but I don't care... I like my MVP better than my overpriced Provari (that I had to RMA 3 times). It's inexpensive, does everything I need and the thing is a tank. The SVD is a really solid unit too... you could use the thing as a weapon if you felt compelled. AGAIN, personal preference only, but I do not like the button layout on the SVD even as good as the unit works overall. I have trouble figuring out which button is which in the dark. One other note: the MVP doesn't have a function to tell you the resistance of your atomizers and the SVD does.
I'm focusing on the MVP v/s SVD because I have zero experience with the V3. Lots of people here love them and it's on my list, just don't have one yet so I can't comment.
As a side note: I absolutely can't WAIT til they come out with the itaste VTR! I wait patiently...

Anyone tried either of these I really hope I like them?

Hangsen E-liquid for Electronic Cigarettes (10ml)

Marlboro Flavor, 24mg/ml Nicotine SKU 1386700 $2.08 $2.08 Remove

I tried this one but 18mg, i really liked it, it was pretty much on par with the liqua american blend.

ANYONE:

Is the Hangsen nicotine strength on par with the label? Does 12 offer a good enough th? I'm not sure If I should be going with 12 or 16.

I've been using Hangseng Red bull 12mg and it's smoother than the liqua 18mg from what i can tell :) i'm starting to buy 12 or 9mg juice fro now on.

I was the same way. I got the Liqua Berry Mix and I tried REAL hard to like it, but it just had this weird flavor that I couldn't quite put my finger on. I ALMOST threw it in the trash but somehow it ended up in my box-o-juice junk pile.
You guys got me curious so I dug it out and put it in a brand new iclear 16.. wow. It's actually damn good now. I think I've had it in the box for like 3 weeks or something?
I can get into this I think. That weird aftertaste it used to have is almost completely gone. Still lingering slightly, but totally vapable now.
I'm going to leave it for a few more weeks and see if it continues to improve.

I'll throw it inside a box and wait a few weeks, i mean, the smell that comes from the bottle is amazing, it smells like one of those berry yogurts but when vaporized it's another story :p

On another note, I tried all the bottles i got earlier today, quick impressions after tasting on my igos.(all the hangsen juices are the ones with the original bottles)

Liqua Vanilla 9mg https://www.fasttech.com/p/1280103
Really good vape, the flavor is mild like most liqua juices but is smooth and nice. I'm going to mix this with coffee and chocolate probably :p

Liqua Grape 9mg https://www.fasttech.com/p/1280300
Same drill, mild flavor, it tastes like grape bubblegum

Liqua Berry Mix 9mg https://www.fasttech.com/p/1280403
I don't like this juice one bit, i'll probably let it steep and see if it gets better.

Hangsen Espresso 12mg https://www.fasttech.com/p/1338300
I like this one more than the liqua coffee, it seems it has a little hint of sweet the liqua doesn't have.

Hangsen "Milk Chocolate" 12mg (name on bottle is Chocolate Cream) https://www.fasttech.com/p/1338302
I can taste the cream on this one, i already bought cream from another vendor to mix with my other juices and it's pretty
strong milk/buttery flavor but in this case it does not overpower the chocolate flavor.

Hangsen Peach 12mg https://www.fasttech.com/p/1338406
Well, plain and simple peach, the flavor is milder than the juicy peach.

Hangsen "Honey Peach" 12mg (name on the bottle is Juicy Peach) https://www.fasttech.com/p/1338200
This one is great for anyone that likes peach imho, it has a strong sweet peach flavor, better than the other peach imho.
But it will depend on what you're looking for :)

Hangsen "Red Bull" 12mg (bottle says Red Energy) https://www.fasttech.com/p/1338201
It seems to be a little smoother than liqua but that could be the nicotine level as i have liqua red bull 18mg while this one is 12. It also seems to have less sweetener than the liqua. I'll probably stick with the liqua because of the price :p

Any suggestions on what to order in place of a vivi nova? I know first hand how bad the ones from FT are, but what would anyone suggest instead?

I spent a lot of time hating the itaste tanks, especially the itaste 30 because it looks so dang stupid with that knucklehead rotator thing on it. It just looks stupid.
However, one came on my MVP kit and I decided to try it before I threw it in the trash and, well... iclear's are all I want to use now. The iclear 16 is quite a bit warmer than the 30 so I am partial to those... I just have to refill the stupid things 3-4 times a day.
I was a pretty hard-core Protank fan before this since I had figured out how to build really good coils to make them shine. But now, I won't go back. The iclear tanks are just too easy and work way too good.
I just got another order of 12 in the mail today. I love the things now.
So far, Fasttech doesn't sell replacement heads for them either, but iclear 16 and iclear 30 heads are interchangeable I've been told even though they have different wicks, the iclear 30 heads work equally well on the 16's.
And just for reference, I'd say I get somewhere around 25 tanks of juice on an iclear 30 before the head is shot... and I tend to swap coils before most people, I won't suffer through degraded performance to save 1.50. That's a lot more than I ever got on Protank heads for some reason. I assume it has something to do with the iclear being dual coils... but I dunno.
Order a couple and try them out, you won't be disappointed.

I'll second funky on the i16's, while i prefer cartotanks i16's and i30's are still on my rotation and i16's are the only tanks i get for starter kits for friends & family. For instance i have a "diy" mix of hangsen banana and cream that i exclusively vape on an iclear16 because for some reason it brings out the flavor i want like no other :)

Another +1 on the 16's ... the other one that I also like that's similar is the T2 ... but FT doesn't have "real" ones, but they DO sell REAL iClear 16's, and I think they're only $3 each ... so total no brainer.

Can't go wrong with a Protank or Protank 2 (I prefer the 2 because it's easier to clean, and you can use your own drip tip + you can rebuild your own coils if you want)

You also can't go wrong with an IGO-L, it's pretty cheap, and mine is actually working surprisingly well with the stock coils. (going to build my own soon though) ... it comes with some extra wick and wire to get you started.

Protanks, Evods, and RDAs are all I use. The learning curve to get going is not steep at all, but then there's all kinds of neat things you can do building your own coils if you want to get more complicated!

Thanks for everyone's opinions! My next order will be a little of everything I think.
Hubby rebuilds all of my stuff (& won't let me do it myself, gives him projects I suppose) so I'll let him play with everything as well & help me decide what to stick with.

THese days I use RBD's, RBA's, Carto tanks and protanks

I have pretty much consigned my Vivi novas, CE4s and CE5s to the vapocalypse box.

Hey everyone! Longtime lurker, first time poster (in this thread at least). I've been researching between the Vamo and SVD that FT sells, and I've finally decided on the SVD, seems to be the more popular one (it has to be for a reason right?). I'm coming from an ego battery (just a regular ego-C Upgrade, not a twist). I have a protank2 that I want to use, but realized quickly that the ego battery isn't cutting it, even with the 1.8 ohm head.

To cut the story short, so far I have these in my cart.
$37.21 INNOKIN iTaste SVD
$15.05 Nitecore I2 Lithium Li-ion Ni-MH Ni-Cd Smart Battery Charger - US plug

I'm just wondering which battery I should buy. I've been reading about NCR18650B protected vs non protected, NCR18650A, NCR18650PDm etc... As of right now, I feel a little overwhelmed with the information, I'm not even sure I fully grasp a mod vs a mech mod.

I'm a vaping noob who just wants to enjoy a new way of vaping. If you recommend a different charger or anything else, any and all help is much appreciated! Thanks for your time.

Welcome MarLoda! I had to lurk quite longer than a while before I was able to post in here! I see a few like you get in early and that's awesome. There is definitely a multi preference between the Vamo vs SVD. I own them both but in full disclosure I do prefer the Vamo even though the SVD isn't just a shelf model anymore. Looks are subjective so no need to go there. The layout of the Vamo is easier to use and it does have an advantage in amperage over the SVD. For the sake of not retyping... my post is #15 funkyzero's post #16
The Vamo kits with the I2 charger and the sonys 18650s are a great deal.
The I2 charger is a solid choice. At least mine have been.
Battery choice is controversial but as long as you don't listen to Heavyrocker I'm sure you will be just fine. O;o)
My top 3 picks on FT atm in no particular order would be...
sony-us18650v3
panasonic-ncr18650pd
panasonic-ncr18650a
Whatever you choose to do if buying a charger and batteries separately use code "BLF" for a 5% discount
Also, Have you considered the Kmax?

I was just in my wishlist putting above post together and I see they are in the middle of modifying the wishlists as many of us have requested. So far, I see the option to make different/multiple wishlists and the option to name these wishlists. Sweeeeetah! Looks promising anyway! :p

I use the vivis for flavors I don't use all the time. Easy to keep them set aside & switch on a whim. The rba's I use for adv & flavors I use more often.
