All of FT's Ego batteries are not created equal. Saying FT's eGo's is like saying compact car. A civic and a neon although the same class size cars are worlds effing different. Does FT sell some Egos that I wouldn't buy and are known for more issues? yes. Do they sell some that out of hundred only have a couple bad apples? Absofunkinglutely.

If there is anything didactic in the many pages of this thread it is that FT sells some stuff that is basically poo, hit and miss, and some things that are quality radtastic for little of your money.

Exactly! The reason this thread was created by Ref Minor and maintained by the posters was to sort the good from the bad. Unfortunately there's a poster on a mission to flame FT as a whole. The point I'm trying to make is we don't need any trolls in here tearing down what's been accomplished. The thread is here for all to see the good with the bad. Trying to throw FastTech under the bus isn't going to go unchallenged.

Anyone notice the FT Wooliston [Magneto] [Nzonic]? What is this magnetic button?

It's a copy of the Smoktech Magneto which is a copy of the Nzonic. If implemented properly, as in the Nzonic, it ensures that you don't have any misfires.

Maybe it helps for people to understand the risks of using fake/clones products WARNING!!! eGo caught on fire!!!!: FastTech Forums it could be dangerous and if it explodes or cause a fire in someones home or office it will be very bad for all, Obviously it will become a tragedy
Do you really want that any member of this great community take this kind of risk?

Do you run a B&M?

Well, my ithaka is on customs hands, i just hope it moves fast through the system so i can have it tomorrow :p

On another note, i bought 7 of these ego twists https://www.fasttech.com/p/1408805 to give to friends & family. They've been working as intended, i'm using one with a 1.7ohm carto right now. I'll probably update along the way if someone runs into trouble, but right now they are as good as any other battery i tried :).

With respect, Right now i have a joyetech battery in my hand, testing it, it shut down off when fully charged, checking with multimeter totally cuts the power off, Constant output power.

Same tests with a pack of 3 fake ego batts from FT they didnt cut off the power output, Neither constant output voltage and it DOES have current continuity either in power off mode, That does make sense why when an atomizer is attached to that fake battery it discharged it in a pair of hours without use.

Wow, for someone who won't use FT you sure seem to spend a lot of time stalking their forum, the FT forum here and this thread, it's like you are on a mission.

I am really rough on anything I own. I've broken ego's from Joy I've broken FT ego's. I've taken both apart. Inside they look about the same but chances are there are some differences. They had different numbers on the battery but who knows what those stand for. They just don't have the manufacturing standards we use here.

I am sure the Joys' (also manufactured in China) are better built. They are big enough that their standards are tighter and I'm sure they have a little better QC than some of the smaller factories. But lets face it, an E-cig is a pretty simple item. There are only so many things that can go bad and it doesn't take a manufacturing genius to make an acceptable one.

I do not feel the FT ego's are as good as a genuine Joy but they work just fine and are backed by a good warranty. At their price point, they are a great buy.

I will never buy another Joy ego again.

Just to reinterate my position

I don't believe in ego clones as a category or knockoff either for that matter, unless someone says its a joy tech ego battery and it isn't, all else is fair game to be called an ego battery.

If it is an ego battery, then someone made an ego battery period.whether the supplier is ft or jt..

Messed with my Mini-DID clone, took another wrap with the extra wire I left on it and now it works on my Twist, which happened to be dead after a few hits so now I wait to mess around with different voltages.
I'd like to build a higher ohm coil but messing with it seems to have the wick working pretty good now and I hate to screw up a good thing.

It's quite long on a 1000mah Twist but a lot lighter than the 18650 mods.
DID_1963.jpg

Also after taking the extra wrap and trying with the Vamo and getting a short I stuck it on my V3 w/NCR18650A to burn it in and it worked much better than the CGR did with the new coil. I could see it shorting here and there but the battery did not get hot (unlike the CGR, although it was really shorting then).
The NCR-A also seems to be beating all the other Panasonics for drain at the high end. It's lasting a lot longer than I expected on the V3 with the V9 dual coil.

I ordered the Vamo kit with Sony batteries and a Nite Core charger,,,,,,

Haven't received it yet, but I will say I am very impressed with their cancellation.

I accidentally ordered the wrong kit on Sunday,,,,,,,

On Tuesday, I decided I really didn't want to receive the wrong kit, so I cancelled the order,,,,,,

I had the option of a gift certificate instead of a refund, which I took,,,,,,,,,,,,ordered the right kit 3 minutes later and applied the gift certificate and the order was complete.

Easiest cancellation and re-order process EVER.

I am very impressed with that!

It delayed my order a couple days,,,,,,,,but that was my fault, not FT's.

I did 5 orders in FastTech and and only had one problem with 1 ego battery nothing else, but they solved the problem very quickly, the batteries never get hot when they are in the charger, if we all take precautions in the use of equipment is original or clone will never have accidents you mention .. I'm in this forum for a few months and I do not remember anyone say anything about battery fire while charge or used ... hope we continue on this path

My 2 cents...

Batteries usually only get hot when they are put on the WRONG size charger.

I believe that what we get from FT is PRE-BRAND. Meaning... it's made in the same factories as your BRAND names, with the same "quality control". And we're just getting it before the BRAND logo is put on it and the price hiked up.

Advocating a very unsafe procedure. "Try it yourself."

Please edit your post.

I don't think you have ever had a chance to open an ego. It is not a very unsafe procedure. One shouldn't go willy nilly but its just the switch/board, two wires, some batting and the battery itself. (haven't opened a VV yet so maybe a little more there). The contents of the battery pouch wont come spilling out.

Advice should be given by those who have knowledge.
