Placed my first fasttech order yesterday and automatically received "Ship via Registered Airmail w/Tracking". How did I qualify for that level? Was it the dollar amount? It was a $41 order.

Any order $15 or over qualifies for free shipping. Shipping otherwise is about a $1 extra anyways. According to FT Registered Airmail is 10-14 business days and the USPS is 5-8 days. These are of course after it ships. I usually get my order after it leaves HK in about 6-8 days here in MN :) There can however be delays (customs etc) but I've had a good record with them. Patience.

Hey guys..I want to order this ('cause it's green) but I have some questions for anyone who has one of these.....

Kamry X7 mod

I know that I need to use 14500 batts in it and I know the voltage is regulated but does it have any other protection in it?
I ask because my fuse will not fit inside of this (Smoktech fuse only for 18xxx batts)
What kind of batts to use? Can I use IMRs (unprotected)?

I tried to link to it but when I tested the link (I always do before I post it) I got an alert that the link was pointed to somewhere called cloudflare.com and not FT.
Don't know what's going on, that is the first time I have ever seen that O.O

Make sure you read the discussions, a few FT staff members have said that this device is NOT variable voltage:

We have contacted Kamry and confirmed that X7 is not VV, Kamry explained that they made a mistake in the description on the official website.

Thanks! I spend entirely too much time on that site ... is there a hotline I should be calling? ;-)

Seriously, I've been meaning to ask what mod is in your hand in your avatar photo... guessing a mini Ego with a 510 atty?

Don't worry about the hotline :)
Intervention is overrated, lol

I got my Ithaka on saturday. The stock dual coil didn't produce much vapor :/ idk if it's my MVP or SVD but the vapor production was awful with the dual coil.

I recicled one of the coils and i'm rocking a single coil, dual ekowool wick and it hits pretty nice, i'll have to do more research about dual coils and my devices tho :p

Fastech Support: "We have fixed that. You can use it now."

No, no you didn't !!! No, no I can't !!!

It still comes back invalid. Aaaaargh. Three day wait and nothing has changed.

Respond to ticket, wait three more days:(

Sure you are not copy/pasting and getting an extra space in there? Sucks you are having all these problems.

The resistance of the stock coils is too high. Over three ohms each on mine. Not much vapor from that. Rebuild it with more reasonable resistance on each coil and it will make clouds.

Its working on mine but seriously taxing everything I put it on. The SVD is my most powerful device and it can barely run the thing maxxed out. I'm fixin to order me a mech to run the Ithaka, should solve the problem

If you want to run dual coil you should drill the air holes out to at least 2.5mm, and there should be two of them. You need substantially (twice as much?) airflow to run duals.

I'm talking about the ithaka clone from FT, can't drill more airholes :p

I'm thinking the same, the SVD can't keep up with the dual coils :p

Btw, the airflow on the ithaka is amazing, 0 noise, smooth draw. I'll probably order another one when i can figure out how to run dual coils successfully :p
