New toy came with the vape mail today... the Oddy from FT:

So far the taste is pretty amazing, definitely something you have to tinker quite a bit with though.

Also, the finish is brushed now, not like the pics on the FT site. I was pleasantly surprised (looks more like a Rainbow Heaven Terminator now)

My purple Bolt clone came in today. I will be doing my first return.

Stuck a good AW IMR 18650 in it and attached a carto tank. Pressed the button and.....

Smoke coming out around the button and the distinctive smell of burnt wire. Yeah this thing was shorted out of the box.

Oh man! I have a red one coming in!! BUT, they did not ship it with the rest of my goods, so maybe someone caught the issue!

EMAIL THEM to get a return! They may just send you a new one and not expect shipment back!

Now I can highly recommend the NCR18650A (if the 6a or so rating suits your vaping needs).

RBA's came today and I put the battery through a workout oxidizing 2 stainless wicks. While my first attempt at oxidizing a wick with the Mini-DID clone was short lived with the CGR18650CH because it got so hot so fast, nothing like that with the NCR-A. The only heat I could feel was equal to the mod being held in my hand for a long time.
I think I tripped it's magic a few times with the second wick. It stopped firing, waited a (very) little and went back at it.

Lawd, ignore the second to the last post...I went in and cancelled it and requested refund through PP.
Had never cancelled anything before....that was relatively painless.
The remainder of my order was only 5.37, so they charged me a little shipping..it came out to 6.24, which is till a good deal for the driptips I'm getting

Oh, this is what I originally wanted to ask about but got sidetracked by the Smoking Bolt Clone situation (thank goodness - I don't want a dud deal).....
For those who have the FT K100 ...re: the inside of the tube that contains the positive post contact (or at least where the positive end of the batt touches when inserted) I notice that there is no insulating disk around where the contact is.
Is that normal?
I hate to seem like I'm nitpicking, lol..I really don't mean to, it's just I found it a bit curious......(this is my first mech, BTW )
