Hmm. So what what type of combinations of merchandise are we talking about? I ordered and MVP and nothing else and I'm just trying to get a gauge of what to expect. Does there seem to be rhyme or reason to the delays that anyone can see?

ETA - If I opened this thread before ordering I probably wouldn't have ordered.

:blink: I'm waiting for my SS VAMO3 kit from fasttech. It has a USPS tracking number and has been listed as "ACCEPTANCE" in Hong Kong since Sept. 3...... I'm wondering what happens next. This is my first APV and first time ordering from fasttech. I can't wait to try it out!!! All I've vaped are an eGo-C Twist with a Protank and miniProtank and a Winder topped by an ARO pyrex tank.

Live adventurous. Get both.

I'm tempted. But, what about atomizers and such. That's the stuff I really NEED, not more mods.

I'm going to end up with a huge collection of mods with no batteries to go in them and no atomizers to go on them!

I wouldn't be all doom's day. I'm sure you will get it. I believe (and I say believe) that a MVP is a device and not a "battery". Hang in there, it should come even if with delay.

But, if you do need to go elsewhere, well, Mt. Baker. ;)

I have an MVP2 sitting in Hong Kong as well...or maybe I dont...just ordered it on the 10th and it shows as shipped and accepted. The thing that ticks me off is that FT knew about this shipping holdup and the scans and took my money and shipped it anyways. They knew full well what would happen...it does have a lithium batt in it and could well be sent back. Had I known, I'd have ordered elsewhere. Now, I get to sit around waiting for who knows how long for either my device to ship or for a refund...I'd rather have just spent a few bucks more and ordered elsewhere and had it on the way faster...I'm not happy and likely wont order from Fast Tech again as a result.

stuck ... meanwhile the one with 4 30ML bottles of juice only flew right on through to SF

Mine is the MVP kit and a pack of cheap CE4 clearos.

It's probably for the best then, if you are time conscious rather than price conscious, it doesn't really make sense to order from another country on the other side of the world. Most of the time its Ok but you will always risk delays and hold ups when importing.

Oh, I'm not well off to the point where i dont shop for deals..prices do matter...I've ordered several times from FT and never had a problem with the shipping times...that isnt my issue though in this case. My issue is that they knew before they took my money and my order and shipped it what would happen to the package. They didnt mention a thing about it. Like someone in a previous post said, had i known before, I'd have not ordered it. I have a certain amount of patience, but to just sit and wait an extra week over their already lengthy shipping time and perhaps end up not even getting the mod just ticks me off...obviously, some people will see that differently...and thats fine...I will likely avoid FT in the future because thats what i do when a business ticks me off...

I'm just venting a bit...

    My itaste v3 has been sitting since the 3rd, clearly stuck too. Good thing i have 4 other mods and a provari on its way.

    I'd rather wait 2 more week than get a refund but whatever.

    Looks like my v3 is beating yours, mine hit CA today, and believe we ordered about the same time :p

    I was just checking a few things from different sources. Apparently there was some "standards" put together years ago for shipping on an international level for liquids and lithium batteries. Since then, every so often HK and China get a wild hair and either misinterpret these rules or go out of whack enforcing them. An exemption was put in place (thanks to cell phone companies) that basically states a device containing a lithium battery should be able to be shipped but it has to be in a box that has been tested to be safe to drop a certain distance. I would guess the MVP should be okay since the kit comes in a box. Most of this can be found on the FT forum but some I found elsewhere (a friend who has been receiving packages multiple times a week from Hong Kong - and he is affected by this right now too even though nothing is coming from FT). It is possible this happened due to 9/11 being today and if so it should clear up soon, but that doesn't help us now.

    But in the mean time, HK Post is x-raying all packages. This has created a delay on everything. According to one of the staff members for FT the delay is 4-5 days. If HK post is following the rules as written instead of applying their own interpretation and if FT got accurate information from them, yours should leave HK by Friday at the latest.

    I'm assuming most of you have seen this post from Geek over at FT, but just to make sure, here it is:

    "The postal union has launched a wave of scrutiny yesterday which covers all major postal airmail shippers in Asia.
    <snip>
    \1. Packages with primarily e-liquid and/or batteries in them are now more likely to get caught and get returned to us. We'll refund in those cases.
    <snip>

    What I find interesting is the part I bolded. That clearly implies that these regulations (whatever they are exactly) have been in effect for some period of time and fasttech has been skirting the rules and sending them anyways (under the assumption that they would rarely be caught).

    Yes, the shipping regulations have normally been on the books since 2009.

    My most recent order (yup, it's sitting in HK) has five ego batteries in it. But this should be ok, right? I mean, the batteries are in a 'device', it's not just a bare battery, so that's all right. (Please tell me that's all right. :( )

    I know positively that ego batteries can be mailed in the US because I had to send two back to Fasttech and I brought them to the post office and explained what they were. The man at the counter wasn't sure, looked something up and said it was fine.

    Want to try and explain that to a Chinese bureaucrat?
