Went and looked and really liked this Ego 650Mah Super Excalibur Kit [Super Exc 650 kit] - $29.00 : Vapors Choice, Ecigarettes & Parts

Ego 650Mah Super Excalibur Kit.jpg
Just thought it looked cool (and I got it in green), but do not need it. Got 3 extra attys and it was (with discount and shipping) $40.94, not a bad deal IMHO.

Just my experience and others here have had better luck. I picked up 2 900 mah ego clones from Fasttech both died in short order (as in weeks) yes fasttech did the replacement but I just don't want to muck with it every couple weeks. So when I bought my twists I got the genuine Joyetech ones.
did you do any investigating why they died or just sent em back?

Man...suxors that the Chinese clones go to crap so easily

So heres the story everything shipped except this

I think that's the official brush off.
I told them I would wait what have I got to lose. I bought this on Sept 8th.
I did order a few VV3`s off eBay. I payed more and I received the VV3 in a few days. I have had it about a week without any issues. I do like the quality of the SVD if the VV3 is the same quality I would be happy. I like the VV3 better than the egos.

I got tired of wasting my money on the awful made egos. I bought an 1100 twist(not joyetech) 2 chrome 900 egos, 1 pink 900 ego and the threads got stripped. I also lost an ego 650 it broke off from the head on a lanyard at work. I realize these items could be considered somewhat disposable. I also realize that if it was cigarettes I bought I would only have butts for the money I spent.

I sent back the chrome egos for a refund back in August I have yet to hear anything back. Since its been so long I figured the other egos are a total loss. Lesson learned.

So here is what I am waiting on now from fasttech.

Yes I will order from fast tech again. I have a ton of stuff that has been great. I realize I am hard on my out and about equipment.

Yes simply put the top part with the 510 connector was not firmly put in place and the internal wiring is thin beyond belief. It didnt take much screwing in of attys or onto the charger to break them (or in one case make the entire top fall out).

One of mine popped off after I dropped it, the wiring was ok so I just used a dab of glue when pushing it back on.

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry to brag =p

Mine was processed 15 minutes later. What makes that better is the way HKP tracking phrases what happened. "The item (LK0XXXXXXXXHK) left Hong Kong for its destination on 25-Sep-2013"

I'm not bragging either but it is nice to know my MVP is probably on the ground in the US or soon to land. Now if San Francisco can keep it out of the "processed through sort facility" eternal loop. I'm thinking Monday (maybe even Saturday) it should be here but USPS has been known to screw up also.

That's pretty typical I think.
I took apart a Smok branded spinner and it was the same way... tiny wires, but apparently is enough to get the job done.

I had two orders ship on the 9th. One was last seen in New Jersey. The other order hasn't arrived in the United States, yet. RQ215017705SG is the order that is AWOL.
http://www.singpost.com/index.php

Funny thing. Magically, my #3 order arrived in Minneapolis along with the #4 order this morning. USPS shows no stops for RQ215017705SG. It went from "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" directly to "Processed through USPS Sort Facility" in Minneapolis.

I'm sure the reality is that it's been with it's companion, my order #4 the whole time. RQ215024658SG went through New Jersey. The two orders shipped from FastTech within minutes of each order. It's comforting to know that they were there for each other.

I think I'll be going with the K101, but I'm still torn this an the KTS, I ordered an SVD from FastTech and the button ended up not functioning, it wouldn't fire all the time. I ended up returning it to FastTech and I'm waiting for my credit so I can order some more.

The black K101 looks so slick, I've seen a Protank on both the K101 and KTS, anyone have any pictures of the protank2 on these mods?

I also don't know which battery to get for these mods, should I order

These IMR 18350 Batteries
OR
These non-IMR protected 18350 Batteries

I tried researching them, it seems like since IMR are "chemically safe", they don't need to be protected. I remember FunkyZero posting another site for batteries, so if anyone has other suggestions than FastTech, I'm open to those as well. Thanks for all the advice! Happy vaping.

The only 350s I will buy are AWs. I get mine from RTD Vapor. The 650s I got are the panasonic pds from fasttech. The pds are a hybrid IMR. I really like my pannys even better than AW. All chemically safe means is that in the advent of a short or overworking the battery, it will vent(explode) less ferociously than a cobalt based ICR. The sucker will still heat up like a mo fo. Of course these are all little packet of energy, release any energy violently and well... just the physics of releasing energy.

Also with the hold of batteries shipping from China you may be better off paying a little more from the states and getting them sooner.

My pds from fasttech were 12 bucks I think for 2 and a case. 2 cases and 2 350s from RTD was 20 bucks. Still the things I would not skimp on is chargers and batteries.

A good read if you haven't read it.

Basic to Advanced Battery Information from Battery University

BTW my SVD from fasttech has been a champ. The only problem I have is that it eats batteries. The 350s last about as long as a piece of steak that falls from the table in front of one of my dogs.

That's what bothers me. I ordered my SVD Thursday night and it hasn't even gotten to the "acceptance" stage. I have a tracking number, but USPS doesn't recognize it yet. It's bad enough that it's probably going to wait a week before it even gets scanned, but then there is the good chance it will get rejected due to the batteries in it. How much longer after that before FT can even notify me of the rejection.

I can't (or won't) afford local prices ($50 for an ego?!!?) and I can't stand the wait from China. Maybe this vaping thing isn't for me.

You should be able to get a good ego type.. for around 20-30 bucks including shipping from a US online vendor. It will depend on what mah you get.

Patience my mate. Patience.

I won't pay absurd prices myself. Buy low sell high.
