Yeah, I just got it for grins and giggles, but I've got to find something for the new smok epipe :/ I'm thinking the bent silver drip tip with the Eternity... I ADORE my Eternity and have some Blueberry pipe juice in it now... I take it on walks with me every morning =]

Eternity Electronic Cigarette Rebuildable Atomizer - 1.8-2.4
Stainless Steel Curved Drip Tip

That tip looks awesome. I actually just use a Cherry Vapes Ming on mine. I like the compactness.

Just ordered a Chi-You clone. SVD started acting up on me (i.e. doesn't turn on anymore), so I'm gonna try something without electronics/buttons that can fail.

Just got my Chi-You clone today, as well as the Rocket RBA, Kick module, and (yes) batteries. I'm a total noob when it comes to mods, so I don't have much to compare to, but it seems solid to me. I'm sure all you mod-crazies are used to it by now, but it's friggin' huge for someone coming from a 650mAh eGo-C Twist.

And I'm sure I've seen one of these around the house before... maybe hidden in my wife's sock drawer :)

I'm going to order a rebuildable after my existing orders get here and I have a couple questions:

RDA's. You constantly have to drip right? Cause I'm kinda lazy and prefer hassle free.

RBA's without clear tanks. How do you know it needs refilled before you get a dry hit. Well come to think of it, that's how I know to refill my clear tank lol.

I'm thinking I'll get the AGA-T2 for the large tank, SS & glass materials, and low cost. Any others I should check out?

Hmmm.....
Reason why I posted in this thread, that would probably be because the thread title says "The FastTech Thread For All FastTech Posts".
I didn't realize it was strictly for fans and not welcome to dissenting opinions.

I'm glad you all have had good luck with this company. I just have spent much more time reading about the misery in the Negative reviews.
At least it's PayPal and you can always dispute it there, which seems to be the most common recourse for issues.

Since I'm not a troll and don't seem to be welcome to have a differing opinion, I'll just move along and hope you don't run into the real joys of dealing with an overseas vendor that really doesn't give a -- about customer service. Think that's wrong? See the post made by the guy who was told to mail his defective mod back to Hong Kong for credit.

I hear you,,,,,and I thought it WAS for all opinions. Since mine isn't so hot at this point, I think I'll just mosy on by with you.

Yeah, I laughed too. I actually had a lady I didn't know come up to me and ask me what I had in my hand once. I told her it was an ecig, but on steroids :). She laughed and said "oh, I thought it was something for the bedroom". I really think she may have been interested if it was LOL

Aga T2 need coils. It's taken me a bit to finally get a good toot from my AGA T2, so make your you can make some good coils =]

CommaHolly, you have major shipping issues with FT. That's a problem that everyone should be aware of.

I can't recoil for beans (I shake too much. :( ) so hmm. I might just have to stick with the vendor I usually use. Thanks for the feedback, though!

If you want real Kanger ProTank coils the best place in my view is Sun Vapers. Ed sells them for $5.79 for a 5 pack. They actually come in a Kanger box.

There is room here for people of all opinions. Lord knows I have been critical of the quality of some of the products I have received. I have also been critical of things that say ready to ship and then when you order it you are told 2 week wait for it to come in stock. :p

I think much of FTs problems boil down to very poor communication with customers and trying to cheat postal regulations and getting caught.

Most people who order from them are aware that much of what they get is clones and hit or miss for quality. If one is aware and orders anyway that is the risk they take.

For me with 1 exception everything has been adequate. The one was pretty bad but a shorted mod can happen to anyone. No ones quality control is 100%.

The order I have in now was only done because I had a credit to use from returning that mod. Once that is delivered I am done for awhile. I want to wait and see how the shipping thing pans out and there just is not much they have that I NEED anymore. Want? sure I got a big wishlist. Actually need is a different thing. I can afford to wait for the mess to clear.

People buying from FastTech crack me up...
Just go look at the Negative Review Thread for suppliers.
So many people trying to save a buck or two to keep the "middlemen" (Meaning US vendors) from making a buck.
Maybe getting jerked around from a Hong Kong company will give you some idea of what your local vendors go through.

Listen man, it's business not personal. In fact I prefer to buy locally. No one on this thread is buying from FastTech to keep the U.S Vendors from making a buck. It's about the savings. In fact I bet you that if the U.S Vendors were 10% to 20% higher then Fasttech most here would buy local.

My rule of thumb. If I'm going to save 40% to 50% of the U.S Price by buying from FastTech I'm in. If the difference is 10% - 20% I'll buy from an American Vendor. In between it's a judgement call.

Some things I won't buy from FastTech due to quality issues and some I will only buy from Fast Tech.
I just bought a Nemesis Clone for $23.00 and my local Vape Shop wanted to sell it to me for $60.00. Maybe the one I get from FastTech won't work. But based on the reviews I've seen, I'm willing to risk it.

I'm a big boy, I know the risks and if there is an occasional screwup or Subpar Product I'll write it off as the risk involved in saving that much money.

So far every product ordered has been fine and all the shipments arriving in a reasonable time frame. The first order was Hairy because the system glitched up and my address was botched. Took me a week to notice it and then I contacted them through IM and within 3 days the order was shipped.

I guess I should clarify my comment.
I'm not advocating buying from a vendor just because they're in the US.
However, there are many that don't jack up the price to ridiculous profit margins. I would rather spend a couple of extra dollars (not 300-400% more) to support a small business owner though.
FastTech, from all appearances has very shoddy customer service. The reasonable vendors get the same products and sell them for a slight markup and will provide much better customer service, not just speed of delivery.

"However, there are many that don't jack up the price to ridiculous profit margins"

And that wasn't the case even a year ago. The opening up of the consumer market with vendors like FastTech is finally starting to cause price settling. Without it, the old rule "what will the market bear" would still be heavily in favor of the vendor and we would still be paying 50 bucks for Evod batteries and 15 bucks for 30ml of Chinese Dekang. NOW, we are seeing vendors with complete spinner kits for 25 bucks. Point is, the prices are starting to find their home ONLY because of competition is intensifying, it's not a special club anymore. I don't think there is a single person here who would RATHER buy from an overseas source, it comes down to price. We aren't trying to make a statement, we are simply trying to make reasonable consumer choices.

This thing is surprisingly small!

Now to experiment (aka build my own USB re-chargeable ohm meter)!

runningonli_ion_zps47e0eb26.jpg

Ok, it's working, this is the 2x AA unit working..but not on 2x AA, it's working on a single 14500 (AA sized) Li Ion battery

Accuracy: on my MVP2 the head that is on it sometimes reads 2.6Ω and sometimes reads 2.7Ω, reading on the unit shows why

rigged_zpsef8bd499.jpg

Ok...let me explain
A. The battery is a 14500 el-cheapo from fasttech, using the batteries in a Cree flashlights, the protection circuit went to crap so I removed it (NOT ADVISABLE)
B. Had to build a bypass to complete the electrical circuit to power the unit, it is simply a piece of pencil cut off to the length of an AA battery then wrapped in aluminum foil (again NOT ADVISABLE)
C. Unit works JUST FINE with a Li Ion battery in it

Now what I plan to do
I plan to make this a self contained USB rechargeable ohm meter..how do you ask?

Well by
A. Putting in one of these TP4056 5V 1A Lithium Battery Charging Board Charger Module in the center battery compartment, the specs say it is 15mm wide, however due to the "extra" on the PCB I am sure I can whittle off 1/2 mm on either side without hitting the traces (actually might not need to because the 14mm wide battery sits in the battery slot with extra room)...AND its a 1A unit which is WAY to high for a single 14500 battery, but knowing the schematics of the TP4056 IC Li Ion charging chip I can change the RProg resistor on pin 2 to a 10k Ω resistor and limit the CC/CV to 130mA, which should be safe to charge a small 900mAh battery.

B. Rewire the unit to not only charge the single cell from the above module, but to run from the single cell battery in the other slot

Without modifying the 1A resistor and completely removing the battery you could create a USB only run rig, power the unit directly from the USB module...but I want mine to be portable :)

What do you think?

Oh...FT shipping times

This is my previous epipe setup... the top one.

2uz9cvk.jpg

Now I need to turn these pieces into a magnificent epipe :/

E-Pipe Mechanical Mod
Stainless Steel Curved Drip Tip
T1 SCT Single Coil Cartomizer Tank (2.5mL)
Rocket-Sax T8 Atomizer (1.8mL)

I have the first & third (second on order), not the Rocket.
Disapointed with how hard to get batteries in the E-Pipe, also it is heavy. Disapointed in the T1 SCT, flavor and TH are just off, dont like a carto, can't rebuild coil or clean, just don't like it. Drip tip, don't have yet, but it is on the way and I can use it on something else. My setup is going into mothballs, as I don't like it. Your setup above looks nice. I have to get the time to finish modding my old 601 pipe, but still have to figure out how and what switch I am going to use. If I could just find a 510 auto connector I could do it, but they are always out of stock. Hope you like it Lisa, I just don't like mine.

Just my opinion, ok.

Great to get hands on and into the innards and modify it to suit your needs. BUT a rechargeable AA battery can last preeettyyy long. Especially if you get the GP Recyko batteries. They can be charged up and kept for 6 months with minimal voltage loss.

So my thoughts are that it may be more trouble than it's worth.

You were probably asking for thoughts on it circuitry wise. Can't comment on that as it all flew past my head.
