holy crap. so my first fasttech experience hasn't been the easiest. I got a few five packs of vivi nova coils, a couple cobras, and a couple batteries. at the time I placed my order there were only two different kinds of five packs available. there are now four.
i received the order, and there the fun began. both of the cobras i ordered were absent. the coils were advertised as appropriate for the vivi nova. I know they are knock offs, but posters here had positive things to say about them. they did noy fit my novas. they are too long, pushed the center post out of position (fixable), and the coil blocked all air flow. made a ticket for both issues, and used skus when referring to items. noticed the other two five packs of coils available had a shorter height. it has been very difficult to communicate to them the problem, and to request a different item to replace thr coils which were wrongly advertised to fit a nova. if it is sorted out, no big deal.
but for all of you that have successfully used their coils, can you provide a link to the product page?
my partner and I only have 7 coils left. :| I hsve rba ingredients but I would rather learn when my whole vaping life doesn't depend on it.
These https://www.fasttech.com/products/1348600fit work for my genuine vivi nova. Which ones did you get? I would like to know which have the longer post. ;)

ON CASSA, I get your point, so no horse beating here. Just thought it inapropriate to jump on someone for. But, I'm just a smucck around here. What do I know. It's not just a cause, it's THE cause. I think I'll ask an admin if adding an additional siggy so so speak is allowed. Such as

Lol just messing with you guys. ;)

If you're talking about a protected mod there are really no worries.
I know people talk about keeping the coils from touching but I really can't see where it makes a difference in practice. I like ribbon and to fit enough .5x1mm ribbon in a Vivi Nova is a tight squeeze I'm sure I've got coils laying on top of each other, I haven't seen any issues. 7 wraps to get 1.7-1.9. It fits much better in a ProTank without being so scrunched and it's the same readings as in the Vivi.
With 32g it was 5 or 6 wraps (someone didn't keep notes on that one) to get 1.9-2.0, plenty of room in the Vivi Nova to spread those coils.

If you don't have a protected mod to read the ohms you should have a multimeter anyway so I'd say you're pretty safe to start. Especially since you have 7 heads left. You'll probably build one and decide you want to start taking apart the good heads you have to rebuild them.

I'm on VV and NO2 - have tried it VW but same result. It might just be this Evod - I have more on the way. :)

What's interesting is that the resistance of the Evod has dropped from 2.5 to 2 ohm.

I'm running it now on an old Lavatube (with adapter) just for a change of pace. I might be vaping it a little too often for it to catch up with me. Running it at 3 volts and plenty warm. Interesting stuff.

With VV you'd definitely notice the difference. That's almost like switching between regular and LR heads.

I've found the Vivi Nova/ProTank head design to be pretty sketchy about readings and I imagine the Evods are the same way. Since they're press fit with rubber the connection can change. I've had new ones that wouldn't read without a lot of messing with and OEM factory ones fresh out of the box continually vary during use.

Thanks Myk - that's very helpful.

those are one of the varieties I ordered! my novas came in vision packaging, but these actually do not fit! I tried on 5 of my vivis, and on every one the center post was pushed down and there was no air flow. tried messing with and even removing grommet. I actually like the way these are designed better, so I hope I am not wasting my time.

myk- thanks for the tips. I will definitely keep that in mind if we run out.

Trying it now on VW (6.5) - plumes of vapour and very warm - but not harsh so no problem there. 6.5W seems awfully low or is it just me?

I got in my Vamo v2 SS kit today. It seems to be good, its got a nice solid feel to it with nice a nice click to all the buttons. What really surprised me is how butter smooth the threads are, I kind of expected crunchy threading. It does have a couple of scratches on it that are noticeable at the right angle, but its only a matter of time until I put a few of my own on it anyways. Only gave it a few hits and now have the battery's charging. Mine did not come all stuffed into the nitecore charger box like others have reported but all pieces were in a bag. Batterys came in a carrying case which was nice.

I also got my KTS mechanical chrome. It seems pretty nice has a good finish on it with no scratches. Fairly smooth threading on it and a nice easy push button. At $17 I almost feel like I robbed them.

Enjoy the Vamo - it is simply great. For the KTS do you need to use protected batteries?

It looks to be about 3.5v. I generally like low watts, about 3.5-5 depending on the flavor. The exception is with juices that quickly cake the coil, with them I like it up around 8 or even 10 if it's flooding, but that's more to get the cake to heat up enough to produce vapor.

I've noticed with the Vivi Nova and ProTank on a Vamo I can go quite high before it gets harsh, compared to a Twist and eGo-C I couldn't get over 4v (about 7w) before it would get harsh. I go for a blend of flavor, vapor and heat (I don't like warm either).

I plan to use the CGR18650CH that came with the vamo kit. You don't really need to use Protected battery's unless you want the protection circuit for low voltage cutoff and take safety precautions. Protected cells also can't push low ohm coils as they have a lower amp output and the protection circuit will turn them off. If I move on to low ohm coils I will grab some AW IMR18650 as they are better for that.

I received the KTS (telescopic) chrome today. Wow. For that price this thing is awesome! The voltage drop was 0.35V (1.2ohm coil and Panasonic CGR18650CH battery). I sanded the chrome of the fire button off, just that, and the voltage drop is 0.25V now. That's very impressing for me.
It fells kinda funny that I've paid for my driptip 1.5 times more than for the KTS :D

Since FT doesn't sell the Liqua in 24mg (which I will ask them about it here in a bit) do you all suggest the Hangsen or the other one? I've been DIY juices for a while now...but at those prices, Its even cheaper that way. Usually Vape Tobaccos and maybe some fruit flavors every once in awhile.

They have Dekang in 24 mg. I have only tried Dekang's Mango and liked it very much. Fruity but not over-powering.

If you spend more than $10 or $15 (cant remember for sure) you get a free shipping upgrade to airmail 5-8 days. Otherwise I think that upgrade is about $1.
It tapers off too, so if you order $3 it is $1, if you order $8 it is $0.60 etc.*

*numbers are made up, principle is correct.
