Common sense and full awareness of battery safety is always a good way to go. You don't want a battery accident to happen.

When the battery pack is opened (and believe me, that is not as easy as it sounds) you will find that the batteries are connected with soldered tabs that need to be carefully cut and removed with pliers, wiring that needs to be removed, and that the batteries often have life in them...so be aware of possible sparks and such. Testing them with a multi-meter is essential, IMHO.

As I said, err on the side of caution.
and once you get the batteries out many times they are generic types and DO NOT have battery specs on them, you don't know if they will be safe to high current draw 5+ amps MINIMUM in most applications...sometimes you score and they use the batteries you see being sold, many times you get a unmarked battery bulk generic batteries...plus if the batteries are way under voltage and have sat for a long time...they can develop copper shunts in the charging material...and if you attempt to recharge kablooey

The batteries are the MOST dangerous part of vaping...get one that is weak, old, defective, or just can't handle high current flow and you COULD have a vent or worse case scenario a flat out grenading inches from your face...

well, one of my packages has arrived in the US, thank goodness,,,,

but the funny part is I checked yesterday Dec 7th,,,,,,no change from dispatched overseas,,,,,

I check today, Dec 8th, and it says it arrived in the US on the 6th,,,,

sounds like a slight delay in the scans showing up

according to the USPS site though, it's actually been processed through LAX.

Looks like ....! Why cant they follow logic and offer Brushed Stainless to match our Mods?

Picked up a K2 Tank - says it is SS silver. I'm guessing Aluminum cage painted silver, from the look of it. Love the design and Fit but it doesn't match ANYTHING!!!

Bright Note: Built my Second Rocket Tank tonight.

First Vape was okay
Second Blew my head off  Took me 5 minutes fumbling around trying to find it.:lol:

Don't think I will even consider wasting more money on Kayfun/etc. when these can deliver on the cheap.

I am glad that you reported on the quality of the Rocket compared to the Kayfun! I ordered a rocket after several of my friends in the UK raved about them, even though the pictures look soooooooooooo cheap. I've WANTED the Kayfun, but OOS issues and now the varied options has me hesitating :/ I think I'll be okay waiting for the Rocket to arrive and testing it out before I commit to the Kayfun.

I cracked open a HP battery and it had 12 Turquoise color batteries. I did some searching and I am thinking they are made by LG. I will probably use them for non vaping things like Flashlight. I was in a rush so I did get a spark out of one and nicked a couple. I tossed those and ended up with 8 usable batteries. Next time I will take my time getting the batteries out. I come across these a lot repairing laptops for friends. My neighbor brought me two laptops that were dead and I salvaged parts to get one working. I just text him asking if he threw the other out yet. He didn't and is bringing me the battery over. Guess I will start collecting batteries now too! :)

A hint for opening the battery case. Use a pair of outer Snap Ring pliers (they open when squeezed). Once you get a spot started with a screwdriver then you can use the pliers to pop it open easily.

You need to test those batts. I'm no expert but I know if they have been over discharged they can become unstable during recharge. They have some other issues as well. Please do some googleing and check it out. Cheap is good! But be safe :)

Interesting. Mine was simply 'Not Found'. It did not start displaying anything until the 5th. 17track and singpapore's actual tracking just said "Information Received" all that time.

The order I placed the same day that had the built in batteries I shipped Registered airmail Singapore. It has shown Despatched to JFK USA since 11/30 with no updates. USPS has said the same thing for the past week, "Origin post is preparing Shipment". That package seemed to have had a 5 day head start heading out of Singapore on the other packages but still no updates.

I will Google testing batteries. The HP battery did have a little life left in it. The button on the side that gets pushed in when incerted into laptop lit up when I pushed it. I put it in the laptop and it charged but for some reason the computer lags when that battery is used and is why it was replaced.

I don't even have a battery charger yet (one on order from Amazon). I have two Itaste MVP's and the Itaste VV 3.0 so I have not used needed batteries in the past. I did order the Evic for my son for xmas. I also ordered two Panasonic 3400mAh from Orbtronic for $19.98 and those have arrived. He will use the Panasonic's for the Evic. I have been wanting to get some nice Led flashlights so hopefully these batteries will work for them when I get them.

yes they will work fine on flashlights and regulated mods. DO NOT USE THEM IN MECHS if you don't know what you are doing

I wonder how long a lap top battery pack can sit around unused before they become useless??

My last order "shipped" yesterday, but I think it shipped SG post through no choice of mine. Is this happening to others? I have some ready wires, a drip tip, SS Chemesis, and a brass M16 coming. I don't know why I waited so long on the M16.....

Well that is one. The first package I have heard of that shipped with an LK...SG tracking number that has made it stateside since the change. YEAH! :)

BTW, did it update on the quantium site as well, or is it now just on usps tracking.

it says "arrived at overseas" on the Quantium site,,,,,,,

so then I took the same number and plugged it into USPS,,,,,,,and it says "Processed through sort facility LAX" there.

I believe Singapore Post is their go to from now on,,,,,,,,,some people have the option of choosing others,,,,I didn't,,,,it just automatically shipped Singapore Post.

8 batteries read 4.16 volts and 4 batteries read 4.14 volts.

Yes, that is pretty much correct.

If you select that standard usps free shipping option, ie this "USPS First-Class FREE" it will now ship Singapore post, and they have been shipping any orders as such to the US since approximately Nov 20th.

There are several other 'free' shipping options to the US when your order is over $15 besides that one though.

Here are my shipping options when an order is over $15..
--------------------
Regular Air Mail - FREE (up to 30 business days in transit)
USPS First-Class FREE (8 to 14 days in transit typical)
Speedpost Global Express +$16.60 (4 to 9 days in transit)
Registered Airmail via Singapore Post FREE
DHL Express +$41.50 (visit DHL for transit time)
Registered Airmail via China Post FREE (14 to 18 days in transit typical)
Registered Airmail via Swiss Post +$1.00 (13 to 16 days in transit typical)
Registered Airmail via Sweden Post +$0.50 (13 to 16 days in transit typical)
USPS First-Class ePacket via China Post FREE (9 to 14 days in transit typical)
Canada Express ePacket via China Post - unavailable for your shipping country
United Kingdom (UK) Express ePacket via China Post - temporarily unavailable
Australia Express ePacket via China Post - unavailable for your shipping country
Registered Airmail via Malaysia Post FREE (14 to 18 days in transit typical)
USPS First-Class via Hong Kong Post FREE (8 to 14 working days in transit typical) - note possible
-----------------

From what I have been reading, the option "USPS First-Class ePacket via China Post FREE" seems to be the fastest at the moment for most US customers. No built in batteries or liquid with that option though.

I hate to chime in with another shipping woe. I was thinking of getting a purple k100 for awhile. So I made an order with a bunch of empty plastic bottles, drip tips and without remembering the battery thing I ordered a couple sony batts. I ordered on 11\9. Its been sitting since 11\13. I put in a ticket 2 weeks ago. Ft says oh some orders appear stuck but it will arrive. I dont have much faith now.... they said they will refund if they find proof it was returned. I dont want a refund I want my stuff now!

Well here's mine. On my ticket FT just said it might take a little longer. That's an understatement.
