I just opened a ticket with FT to see if they'll change my shipping option to the ePacket via China post

It hasn't shipped yet so it's possible.

I have an order that was waiting for a drip tip to come in, today. I check today, and suddenly instead of coming in today, it won't be in stock for another 14 days. <opens ticket> "Can you split my order? Ship the items that are ready to ship now, and send SKU: 1522401 when it comes in."

Note, this is a $17 order, so I am already paying for shipping...
I expect: "We will split your order. There will be an additional postage fee for the second order."

What I get:

So I send back, "Yes. Go ahead and split my order. I will pay the extra $0.25 to have the drip tip shipped international airmail." another day lost...

You can cancel just the drip tip from your order if that is what is holding everything up. If you click on the tracking link they sent when you first placed the order each item is listed individually and there is a link by each one of the options is to cncel that item.

Thanks! I chose the epacket - the last order went through Singapore - took a month in shipping. I was aggravated. Actually, I still am, because it's s'posed to arrive today (out for delivery). Ordered on 11/22... So, it had BETTER be in my mailbox when I get home!

And if it isn't? I just ask because this is not FT. this is delivery and a lot of the delay is on the U.S. side as well as on Chinas side FT ships it as quickly as possible.

OK, for all those looking to buy a Chi You Clone, really look at the details on them they are all different. I purchased this one. https://www.fasttech.com/p/1451812 and it is garbage. I just got it. I had received a used one as a gift from someone and it rocks. The button works great. the contacts are adjustable etc. a great mod. The Chi I ordered is junk, plain and simple. The 510 pin just gets pushed down by your topper and if you change it you have to push it back up if the 510 connection is shorter. THe vents are on the top next to the 510 connection and if you have a leak the juice is now all over your battery and inside the mod. After hearing so many great things about the FT clones I ordered 2 the Nemesis and the Chi. I love the Neme and I am returning the Chi. I will order one of the others. It really is my fault though I should have looked at the details a little closer.

I used a discount code, and the cancel option disappeared when they were originally supposed to come in. The little blue box says "ready to ship" but another line says ETA 1/18/2014 (in 12 days)

I have had that before. My guess is yours is in the package ready to ship.. If you go out and order another you will get the eta 1/18. Mine would ship when the rest was ready.

just got a few tanks in...what is that gawd awful machine oil smell....i cant get it out. i bleached it and boiled it. and the o rings are worse... how do you guys get rid of it.

Oh I didn't catch that it said ready to ship. That means it will ship the ETA is the estimate of reaching your address.

Unknown...put em in the dishwasher in a spaghetti strainer (don't put the small parts in there)

This is the one you are talking about. $25.00 Chi You Mechanical Mod - silver-plated contacts / brass version at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping can only assume it is the better one available on FT. It does have the telescoping 510 and everything I should have looked for. There is a SS version as well but it is sold out. $32.53 Chi You Mechanical Mod - stainless steel / silver at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping If I were going to say one was better then the SS would be it only because the locking ring on bottom is reverse threaded. My guess is the $32 version and your Brass version are made by Hcigar and the others are not.

In that case, I'll close the ticket and let things progress at their normal glacial pace. It's just an order full of drip tips and wire, no attys or mods, so I shouldn't stress out over it anyways.

Got a surprise belated Secret Santa gift in the mail today. Tobeco KFL/91. Mixed emotions opening the box. Happy to get a decent topper (been waxing and waning between the Lite, 3.1, Ithaka, etc>), but concerned that it would have all the problems that have been reported.

Broke it completely down expecting to see tons of swarf and machine oil. Nothing. Clean. Washed it anyway as I do with all my purchases.
Examined all of the parts. Everything appears to be SS with the exception of the grub screw. the post screws are only very slightly attracted by my magnetic screw driver, so I'm guessing they may be a low quality SS.

The Good:
Re-assembled with a 1.5 ohm coil and cotton wick. Vapes great, Looks great. Probably the best value for the money that I've ever gotten.

The Bad:
1. The hole in the positive block for the coil screw is right on the edge of the block. Appears to have been misaligned during machining. Does not affect operation but could become a point of weakness for the screw hole to fail--then again, the block is SS and should hold up.
2. No whistle.

It's been a pleasantly surprising day all around.

I filled a small Tupperware container with hot water and dish detergent and threw all the pieces in for 10 minutes then took one piece at a time and scrubbed it with a toothbrush while everything else soaked, rinse and dry and no more machine oil smell.

Jeez finally...

Welp. The hybrid is complete garbage for lack of words I really want to use to express it.
The Origin dominates the Nemi. Like.. schools it.. took its lunch money and used it to make it rain at the club for Nemi's wife.
Chi-you is almost as heavy as my VTR. For me, that's a win.

Thought they had to change the Taifun lettering on the box? The steel tank looks like balls.
