I've adjusted wattage in my pocket. It went down to 3w so I figure a button got held to chance to VV and then held again.
I haven't had mine change to NO1 yet. I did have it shut off once while vaping. I find it hard to believe I pushed the button 5 times fast enough, although I am constantly pushing the button multiple times so it could've happened.
Well all I can say is that mine stays on no2 thus far, I got it today. What ohm attys do you use? At what stage do you get burnt taste with watts?
That all said. It's a good unit. Just annoyed I can't bump up the vw as much as I thought that you could.
15w isn't enough for you? What are you trying to fire?

Most cartos, clearos, and disposable atties don't do well over 10 watts. Higher than that is for devices that use thicker wire like rebuildable atomizers and some premium disposable atties.

That said, any advice on an Rebuildable that would look aesthetically pleasing on a vamo and is both stainless steel and uses wire and wick? I like silica, I know it's not fashionable but there we are.
The aga2 has these lines on it that annoy me. So plain finish. Yeh I know, but
I can't say that I've had a burnt taste with my Vamos unless it was a feeding issue with a Vivi Nova. I tend to like low wattages, usually 5w-6w, but sometimes up to 12w. I just made a dual coil dripper that I like 9w-12w, it's 1.5Ω but I have no idea how watts or amps and DC works out, I just started low and turned it up until it tasted good.
I use all kinds of ohms. Making my own with the attys I had before today usually mattered how much wire I could fit in a Vivi Nova or a Protank, which generally comes out 1.5Ω-1.8Ω with ribbon. I like 2.0Ω-2.4Ω if I'm buying heads or using a combo I can fit that in with.
What I have in my single coil dripper is reading 1.6Ω right now but that's only because that's the size of a piece of ribbon I found laying around that I cut for some reason.
And then there's the assortment I got buying a Vivi Nova or a Protank anywhere from 1.8Ω-2.8Ω, I didn't like the 1.8Ω before I got a Vamo and never did like the 2.8Ω.
I can't say I've noticed a difference just screwing one on and going by a wattage I know I like with the liquid I'm using. That's why I'm impressed with VW and know my Vamo V2 is adjusting.
I did notice that when my V2 was new it was hitting like a beast so I used abnormally low wattages like 3w-4w. I don't know if I got used to it or something changed. I know someone described the same thing with their old V2 and it wasn't that it got switched to NO1. I don't think I got used to it because now 3w-4w hardly produces anything.
It can push 5amps. I don't know if you can get any non-mech that can do more.
What's comes with 4Ω? I'm no expert but going by my dual coil, which should be vaping like a 3Ω coil that will take a while to heat up, and if you're not waiting that while and turning up the power it won't take long to overheat.
Most single coils do taste burnt at 10w, that's pretty high.
You're thinking wrong worrying about numbers. Start low and turn it up until it tastes good. Don't try to match what numbers someone else likes or uses.
The single coil that I used 12w with was a ribbon coil and a juice that clogged quickly. The 12w was to get the blob heated enough to heat the liquid. And it was a tobacco flavor.
Different juices do taste better at different wattages. Generally tobacco and coffee type flavors taste better at higher settings.
Dripper or tank?
As far as RDA goes I'm like the IGO-L clone from FT. I'm not used to the V9 and DC, it's not bad but I'm liking the IGO-L better. I'll probably spend the money on a real IGO-L to see if it's worth it, or buy a bunch of clones from FT if this one holds up.
As far as RBA I think I'm steering clear of FT for them and getting an AGA-T2 and an AGA. But I haven't tried either yet.
If you just want to dip your toe into rebuilding get a ProTank. It has a good amount of room and is pretty easy to build new coils for. Vivi Nova is easy too but there's not much room.
Thanks. I'm not disappointed. I was earlier as I was jonesing for a smoke. And my tanks seemed .... (the novas wre .... before i rebuilt them) I'm on a learning curve. I had my first vape 50 days ago and I now mix my own juice and rebuild disposables like evods and protank s, and now Novas. It's a steep curve. I'm going to buy something like a roller next month as a mechanical just to learn. So in at the deep end type.

vamo can do way more than 15W, it can do above 20 Watts, you just have to use the variable voltage and pop it over to NO1 mode. granted it can achieve this high wattage if you are on the low end of its resistance limit, 1.2-1.4 ohms
I can't go back and read the 100 posts since I said I would post a review of the IGO-L so someone may already have posted a review, but oh well, another opinion can't be bad. This is long so if you want to skip, go to the bold parts if you want.
I won't go into detail about how the IGO-L works, or how I built a coil or anything like that, suffice to say with a dual coil metering at 1.6ohm, it's absolutely lovely - full-bodied flavor and huge clouds of vape. I personally did not use the original coils or silica it came with - but I did fire them up to see if they looked right and vaped - they did, although the coils look kind of ragged and I am not sure you will have a good experience with them over the longer term. The coils metered out at 1.9ohms.
I have not used the 'original' IGO-L and this is my first dripper, so full disclosure there, I have nothing to compare it with.
I am talking about the IGO-L from Fasttech https://www.fasttech.com/products/1400500 currently $7.67
Packaging - comes in a plain white box with 2 ready built coils and silica wick already assembled and ready to go on the deck. You also get a small screwdriver and a pack of 2 spare wicks and 2 spare O rings. Nothing too fancy, but it is well protected in there and mine came fully assembled with no issues with things coming dislodged during shipping. 4/5
First Impressions - It's nice. The machining on the deck, the cap and the drip tip are excellent. No burrs, no scuffs, just really smooth stainless. The grooves cut into the cap are not sharp, and the 'layered look' (it kind of looks like that wooden dipper used to dispense honey) of the drip tip is machined well with smooth edges and no burrs or scuffs. Overall I would give it a 5/5 for quality of finish.
Just a word about the drip tip - I haven't used a drip tip with the tube this narrow - it has a great feeling around the lips, very comfortable.
Threading - I don't know what happened with this but the thread is perfect. It screws in straight and sits straight. No scraping noises when screwing in. 5/5 for threads (they are properly sealed around the base of the 510 connection too just like the original) I tried it in all of my devices and each one was excellent.
Fit and finish of O rings (including drip tip) - again, I cannot say anything negative about them. The cap is tight, very tight actually, although I suspect it will loosen up over time. The drip tip fits in the top with a positive click when it seats home. 5/5.
Overall - well I'm sure you can guess 5/5 - this little dripper surprised me with its quality, its fit and finish and its punch.
For $8 I recommend anyone thinking about getting an IGO-L, consider fasttech as a source. I will be ordering another, possibly 2 more to start a friend up with a dripper and to have a spare.
